There is a big difference. Your DL are issued by your own state not by the federal government.

Until last year, my fingerprints were on file nowhere. I had to be thumbprinted for my DL.

Yes, the feds have been creeping up in many ways, but as yet it is very different.

Why do they need a national ID? To keep up with the illegals - give me a break. Any ID this government can design, someone can duplicate. By the time we all get our 'ID', they'll be for sale on many streetcorners of this country.

It's not to keep up with illegals - it's to make it easier to keep up with us.

I'm assuming it might be used for all manner of identification, and might just be swiped. That way, they will know just about everything about you.
Why do they need to know that?

My Grandfather warned some men back when they first were getting SS put in place. They all laughed at him and called him a kook and wondered why he would worry about the government giving you a number. IT was, after all, according to the government, your very own insurance policy and the card stated "Not for Identification Purposes'.

He told them the time would come when they couldn't have a bank account, buy or sell property, etc. without that number.

They thought he was some kinda nutjob. Of course, none of them lived to see his prediction come true - but come true it did.

Here is a link to Tom's video and letter to supporters. It might answer at least some surface questions. He says he will get back to us in the weeks to come and will stay within the movement to end illegal immigration.

Don't pay your taxes , you go to jail , want to open a business? Not without the proper permits
You can't even drive in most states without a seatbelt or you'll get a ticket
What part of your lives doesn't the govt control?

You have a drivers license number , you have a social security number
If you have a job chances are you have an employee number

If the govt came out tomorrow and said get a US citizen number
Well , I have my proof , but I bet 30 million illegal aliens don't

the govt makes you register now to buy a gun in all violation of the constitution , whats one more number if it is one that illegals can't get

Good points nevada and even more. They have your fingerprints for dirvers licenses, realtor licenses, your picture for you licenses. Guess what they even have access to your ISP and your IP number.

What absolutely fractures my sanity is that you people are ALL GOOD with this. Instead of fighting it like your grandfathers would have, you'll roll over for it like puppies getting their belly rubbed.

Wow.. something really weird happened to my post! Anyway, Romney is just going to be for more foreign interests. Look, he's listed on the Council of Foreign Relations website: http://www.cfr.org/bios/13226/mitt_romney.html (The CFR wrote the blueprint for the NAU!)

You'll read how Romney wants increases in trade with China and other policies. Please look at the bigger picture folks. We do not need more globalists in power. Our constitutional republic is in grave danger. It's up to us to finally wake up and stop being pawns in their game.

How does anyone expect them to do anything about illegals and potential terrorists unless they do have a tamperproof, credible ID system of some sort??
