AllAmerican, if you still live in El Paso, you know that things aren't improving any, either.

I liked El Paso. But as you know they have real problems. For those those who don't know. El Paso is not just close to the border.....it's on the border. Some El Paso streets have border fences. Just a 100 yards (buffer zone) or so and you are in Mexico.

If I remember, most of the cities were of Spanish-not Mexican-origin. For instance, San Diego was named after Sebastian Vizcaíno's ( a spainiard) ship--the San Diego.
San Jose and San Fransisco were both founded by José Joaquín Moraga and his brother, who originally came from the Basque region in northern Spain.
I'm far from a history expert, so someone please correct me if I am wrong...--Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all.

TK422 You are absolutely correct. Most of the cities that have the Spanish names were founded by Spanish explorers not Mexicans! That other guy doesn't have a clue, and like I said before, he needs to hit that border and act like the energizer bunny and keep going and going!! And the nerve of him to start his post out basically calling people ignroant! Go figure???

Yes, it's true. I just can't understand how they think they've done everything, own everything and are owed everything. Someone please enlighten me on this. Maybe I missed something!!
