    I've never said it's not okay for politicians to accept money from corporations, businesses and special interest groups. That's our primary system of financing political campaigns.

    The issue is which ones you accept money from. For example, if you're Ted Cruz and accept money from Goldman-Sachs where your wife works and from whom you borrowed money to run for public office, then it's not credible that you're "anti-Wall Street". If you're Ted Cruz and accept money from Club for Growth which is an open borders, free trade advocacy group, then it's not credible that you're anti-free trade and anti-open borders. Otherwise, why would they be your top contributor is you're opposed to their advocacy? They wouldn't give you a dime if they believed your were opposed to their agenda. That's just common sense, MW.
