Trump interview on O'Reilly
I'm sure some of you saw this part of it
I guess it runs all week now
He would put military on the border
He said either we are a country with borders or we are not
He was vague on what to do with the illegals here , but its a hard question , no doubt he would get rid of a ton of them

IF Trump specifically said he wanted every single illegal deported no exceptions he'd likely lose many independents he could otherwise win because many still see that 1 in 10,000 "better" illegal immigrant who does try besides the fact they were brought as a child illegally. IF he wants a chance at winning he needs to at least avoid a hardline speech stance. If he wins the Republican nomination we know Republicans will vote for him and majority of democrats against. The winner is where the independents fall.
But as he said a case by case basis I can go with that. I'm sure there is the odd illegal alien who has really tried and feels as much an American as the rest of us but its not like the dems have claimed. Plus as long as the weeding process for the select few is semi long we can further weed out bad apples who get caught breaking the law or abusing the system.
But yah gotta realize in the next election to win the election any runner cannot take a hardline stance while campaigning if they wish to win about deporting the children brought against their will. Lose to many independents. The solution is to talk about a case by case basis and win over independents and then after win take a hardline stance.

Give me a break, there is no defense for what he said. Most of us on here support absolutely no amnesty. Anyway you want to cut it, he is proposing amnesty for some illegal aliens. You heard it straight from the horses mouth but still refuse to believe it.

This is truly the independent position to take and I've never understood why Republicans nor Democrats can see this. There is always the logical right way to do things. Living here in the South West, I know many Hispanics (illegal or not) that have never abused the system and are simply trying to make it like anyone else. And then there are those that abuse the system, the bad apples. We need to deport those bad apples and insure the people that stay are the people we want in this country. Especially those with children in our universities. We need to keep the talent here now more than ever. We also need to stop the flow so we're not dealing with this issue 50 years from now.

I find it hard to believe that the majority of Independent voters support amnesty.

I'll be happy to see the flow stopped for a start
NO , I'll never support amnesty , or a path to citizenship or guest workers
If Trump or any repub wants to win , they will have to walk a fine line and play the game
Without the indies , we might as well pack up our bags now
Bottom line , once the border is secure we will have to deal with them on a "case by case" basis , You cross the border illegally ......... deport
They came one at a time , they can leave one at a time

Case by case basis translates as every illegal alien has a sob story about why THEY shouldn't be deported.
Lord knows we see enough of them reported in the illegal loving media.
