Trump: Screen Out Immigrants Who Are Hostile to American Principles

Republican nominee Donald Trump began his speech in Youngstown, Ohio Monday by saying he wanted to start a conversation about how to make America safe again.

One by one, he went down the list of the many Islamic terror attacks that have occurred recently, both in the United States and around the world.

Trump said Obama’s policies “led directly to the rise of ISIS, without question.”

He said Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s policies “launched ISIS onto the world stage.” He also stated that if elected president, Clinton’s immigration policies would be just as bad as Germany. “Hillary Clinton wants to be America’s Angela Merkel and you know what a disaster this massive immigration has been to Germany and the people of Germany,” Trump said. “It is a catastrophe.”

He noted that many terror attacks in the U.S. have been carried out by Muslim immigrants or the children of immigrants, and promised as president, he would temporarily suspend immigration from all nations who have a history of “exporting terrorism."

“The time is overdue to establish a new screening test for the threats we face today,” Trump said, adding that the U.S. should screen out “any who have hostile attitudes to our country and its principles.”

I think this is a really good plan. I know people will think it's vague at this point and Democrats will ask "what does it mean", because they want more immigration. But for most Americans, they want vetting, they want to know before we admit someone into the US on a visa or green card that a) they can support themselves without stealing a job from an American b) they are from places and hold attitudes that are similar to ours so we don't import socialism, communism, fanaticism, bigots, racists and people who want to change our country to the one they left instead of assimilate into ours. Immigration should have always been this way and many of our problems today are directly related to the "come one, come all, pay your fees, and you're in or hell just sneak in for free and sign up for welfare and register as a Democrat when you become a citizen" absurdity we've been enduring for decades now.

I just don't understand Americans who don't see the importance of this. Personally, I think the immigration situation is so out of control that we need a 10 to 20 year Moratorium on All Immigration to give US time to absorb those excess legal immigrants who are already here, remove illegal aliens from the mix through deportations, and allow our own population room to breathe. You can feel the cramped space, you can see with your own eyes the overwhelming influx, you can study the numbers of unemployed, poverty, and the cost not only to citizens themselves and their families from lost jobs, educations and earnings, but from the public cost as well with so many on welfare who shouldn't be and wouldn't be if we'd just controlled immigration.

You mix the immigration problem with the loss of industry and jobs from free trade treason and you have national economic suicide.

PEOPLE IN (immigration) + JOBS OUT (free trade treason) = BANKRUPT NATION

It's simple math, and a Law of the Universe.

GO TRUMP GO! Trump will reverse the policies that have caused this disaster. No doubt about it.

On his Monday radio show, conservative talker Mark Levin, once a staunch opponent of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, praised Trump for a speech he had given earlier in the day in Youngstown, OH outlining how he would handle the threat of terrorism on the homeland.

“Trump gave a pretty good speech today,” Levin said. “People ought to listen to it. When he’s focused, when he’s on message and when says things that most of us agree with, we ought to acknowledge that. We ought to acknowledge it if we’re going to be intellectually honest, right Jonah? We’re going to be intellectually honest.”

“These are really good things he is saying,” he added.

Levin noted Trump’s pledge to vet immigrants and said if they favor Sharia over the Constitution, it would be a disqualifier to come to the United States.

“If you do not accept the Constitution as the law of the land, but you accept Sharia as the law of the land, you don’t get to come here,” he said. “Because you cannot assimilate. You will not assimilate. You do not get to come to the United States of America. You don’t have a birthright if you are born outside of the United States to come into the United States. And it seems to me this is just a basic standard. It’s not a high wall.”

Levin went on to praise Trump for pointing failures of President Barack Obama and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy, how an influx of immigrants has threatened Germany and how he wants to work with NATO to take on the threat of ISIS.

Yes, that would be wonderful if all members of our media and press would be intellectually honest. Trump has been saying things that most of us agree with for 30 years. It's time people LISTEN and UNDERSTAND what he's saying, because he has everything we need and want in a GREAT PRESIDENT who will and can HELP US FIX OUR COUNTRY.
