I Just Talked To Lou Dobbs On The Radio
If anyone heard me on his radio show just now, I put Lou on the spot about what he thinks we should do with the millions of illegal aliens in this country.
As you know, there have been comments here that Lou has never defined his position on what to do with the millions of illegal aliens in this country. He has stated that he has never said we should deport them all. So, I asked him what should be done. I said, "Don't you think if we just enforce the laws on the books, they would leave on their own. It's been proven it works in Oklahoma." Lou said we should secure the borders, then figure out what to do with them. I'm not sure I still got an answer. Did anyone else hear this. I called from Coeur d'Alene, IdahoRIP TinybobIdaho -- May God smile upon you in his domain forevermore.

Oh, and I mentioned that I was a member of Alipac, and who are fighting against illegal immigration. He said that's one of the larger groups.

I did not hear you, but it is very cool that you got through!!!
I didn't realize Lou has never addressed the people already in this country. But he has spoken out against amnesty so often that I just assumed...."Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." -- John Quincy Adams

Well, he really has never been clear on that. He says he's against amnesty and he feels we should secure the borders first. I did ask him if we just enforced the laws on the books, wouldn't that work to get people to go back to their own countries. He did agree with that, but said we should secure our borders first, then have a reasonable, human way to deal with the people here illegally. So, I still don't feel he's answered that question.

You're welcome, W. I made mention of it right from the begining and he said he knew you. I wish I'd had more time to get him to answer my question, though, because I feel enforcement has to come at the same time as securing the border to get the illegal aliens to leave, not after.

tinybob, unfortunately I missed your Lou Dobbs debut. Lou has been edging up to this topic and yet he never clearly defines what he would do with the millions. In his interview with Governor Bill Richardson my ears were perked up to hear them debate and to find out exactly what Lou thinks the United States should do with the millions. He keeps saying that the illegal alien is the only "rational player" in this debate and speaks of border security, but this important detail just does not get an answer.
I know that he believes in enforcement and penalties against business, but the other is never clearly defined by him.
Romans 5:8Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Boy, you're right about that, Georgia. He seemed to give me the same answer he gives on his show.
