UMATILLA (OREGON) SHERIFF SENDS MEXICO A BILL!!
This article was in the Tuesday edition of The Oregonian.
PENDLETON: Umatilla County Sheriff John Trumbo has sent Mexico's president a bill for $318,843 - the cost of jailing 360 Mexicans last year.
Trumbo says the government of Mexico ought to pay for the room and board of its citizens in the county jail.
U.S. taxpayers "have to pay for housing these guys in the jail; they have to pay for the courts, the prosecution and the defense'" Trumbo said.
"Somebody has just got to say, 'Enough is enough.' "
Fernando Sanchez, general consul for the Mexican government in Oregon, said Tuesday he thought that Mexican President Vicente Fox would respond to the letter. He also said Trumbo's analysis was too limited.
"My view is that he's not taking note of the economic contribution of the workers there in Umatilla County, which is significant," Sanchez said.
In the letter he mailed to Fox last week, Trumbo argued that "each time an illegal immigrant from Mexico was booked into our jail, we were forced to release local prisoners to make bed space available to your citizens."
Trumbo said he doubts he'll receive a check but hopes his point will be heard in Mexico and the United State. "The public needs to be educated about what the cost is," he said.
AND.....TWO MORE OREGONIAN STORIES!!!!
THIS IN THURSDAYS PAPER:
MEXICAN MAN ACCUSED IN KILLING FACES EXTRADITION
A Mexican citizen accused of killing his girlfriend in Mexico will face an extradition hearing this next week in federal court in Portland.
Jose Moises Leon Andrade, 45, will appear in U.S. District Court on February 23. The court will decide whether to extradite him to Michoacan, Mexico, where he would be charged with murder. Leon was being held without bail in the Multnomah County Detention Center.
Leon was arrested in Tualatin Tuesday by U.S. marshals, who have been working with Mexican authorities.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Eric Wahlstrom said police in Cuitzeo, Michoacan, Mexico, discovered the body of Santana Jaimes Pineda on Jan. 14, 2004, near a stream in the village of Chupicuaro. Mexican authorities, who have accused Leon of shooting her, contacted U.S. officials when they uncovered information indicating Leon had fled to the United States.
Leon was found living in Woodburn and working in a furniture-manufacturing plant in Tualatin.
This was the second such arrest within a week by the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force. Jose Serratos Ponce, who was wanted in connection with an unrelated 1998 killing in Mexico, was arrested Feb. 7th after a brief vehicle pursuit east of Woodburn.
An extradition hearing for Serratos also will be held Feb. 23. Both hearings will be before U.S. Magistrate Paul Papak.
POLICE ARREST MAN SOUGHT IN SHOOTING IN ATLANTA
Police arrested a man early Wednesday on three felony warrants stemming from a shooting in Georgia. Jaun Carlos Ramirez Pacheco, 19, was arrested without indicent about 6:45 a.m. while he was walking to a bus stop near Southwest 98th Avenue and Greenburg Road.
Ramirez was being held without bail in the Washington County Jail, pending extradition to Georgia.
Detective Sgt. Bob Rogers of the Tigard Police Department said the warrants indicate authorities in DeKalb County, GA., have accused Ramirez of crimes in connection with a shooting Dec. 20, 2004 in Atlanta. Authorities contend that Ramirez shot at three people, striking one victim in the stomach and causing injuries.
The warrants accuse Ramirez of aggravated assault with intent to murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
The DeKalb County Sheriffs Office has asked Tigard detectives to interview Rmairez-Pacheco.
NOW, ITS TIME TO EMAIL THE UMATILLA COUNTY SHERIFF AND THANK HIM, ONE AND ALL, LET'S SHOW HIM OUR SUPPORT!
STORY ONE, WELL IS THAT NOT SUPRISING THAT A MURDERER WOULD ILLEGALLY CROSS THE BORDER TO FLEE FROM A CRIME THERE, AND THEN BE HERE, POSSIBLY COMMITTING ANOTHER VIOLENT ACT, AND THEY GOT TWO IN A MONTHS TIME, HOW MANY MORE OUT THERE? PLENTY I CAN GUESS. WHAT MORE DOES OUR OFFICIALS NEED TO GET IT INTO THEIR THICK HEADS THAT THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM AND IT'S NOT GOING TO GET BETTER UNLESS WE COMPLETELY STOP THE FLOW OF ILLEGALS.
STORY NUMBER TWO; 19, PROBABLY GANG RELATED, VERY LIKELY AN ANCHOR BABY, BUT MIGHT BE AN OUTRIGHT ILLEGAL, BUT I THINK HE'S AN ANCHOR BABY!!"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned. I think Mexico should be sent a bill from all jails for costs to house THEIR citizens. Mexico should be sent a bill for court appointed legal counsel and interpreters when THEIR citizens go to court for crimes. Mexico should be sent a bill from all hospitals for the care of THEIR citizens. Mexico should be sent a bill from all schools for the education of THEIR citizens. Mexico shoud be sent a bill from all states for the services THEIR citizens receive and are not entitled to. Mexico should be sent a bill from all victims of crimes that THEIR citizens commited. The President, Vice President and Chertoff should get copies of all these bills.

Sheriff's bill touches a nerve
By JEANNINE KORANDA
TRI-CITY HERALD (KENNEWICK, PASCO AND RICHLAND, WASH.)
UMATILLA COUNTY, Ore. - Umatilla County Sheriff John Trumbo didn't expect a reply, but he is surprised by all the national attention he's received for a bill he sent to Mexican President Vicente Fox for $318,843, the amount he says it cost his county to jail 360 illegal immigrants last year for offenses ranging from domestic violence to murder.
"I'm finding all over that people are just tired of it," Trumbo said Friday. "They're tired of schools and hospitals being overloaded by people that can't pay," he said. He's fielding calls and e-mail from around the Northwest and national media including CNN and Fox News.
The letter was mostly a way to show county residents that his cash-strapped department had a problem, he said. He said he's gotten positive reaction but so far no replay from Mexico.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Surely they didn't expect a reply from Mexico? They ignore everything else, why would they respond to this?
I don't mean to be negative and I think what the Sheriff did is a wonderful thing. But I also think he knows that nothing is going to come of it.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Perhaps nuthin from the racist elitest Mexican government or the vile racist elitist Fox but......
PUBLICITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Making the masses aware of the problem.
It's one thing for a "commoner" to spread the word about the horrors of the invasion but, remember how many citizens are actually mindless bleating sheep!!!!
Hearing or reading of someone in an authoratative position telling of the problem could possibly sink into those many miniscule minds that, perhaps, a problem actually exists!!!!!
The elite class uses publicity to enslave the masses.... we can use it to free the minds of the bleating sheep!!!!!
