Thank you curiouspat. I've been fighting this for over five years now and it's interesting to see how many of the people I've been talking to have changed their views over time, esp. after the illegal immigrant marches. I've been doing my best to spread the word from just talking to the people I meet to writing and calling those we voted into office. The ones who are suppose to be working "for" us. I have to admit I was feeling kind of burned out, but with the recent passing of these bills I'm ready to continue the fight. If there is one thing I would like to tell everyone here and elsewhere is we can not let up, or let our guard down. There are many who are working against us behind the scenes and that includes many of those we elected into office (like Marc Basnight). It's time for us to find out who is with us and who is against us and get those against us out of office. Remember, during the marches one of the slogans and chants was "Today we march, tomarrow we vote." While there are still more of us than them, we need to make sure they don't vote and we DO!

Boy, 5 yrs. You must have had times of serious frustration as well as burn out. I'm ashamed to admit, that I have only been aware of this since mid-March, but I'm in the fight, heart and soul now. NC really lifted my morale, but you're right...we must intensify our efforts now.
