State Senator says he took an oath and as a police officer he took an oath to uphold the law.

This man says this is a violation of democracy, ignoring legislature and it's authority. He lives in area that is second target of terrorism in the state of New York.

The Governor has endangered the state and endangered the country from people who would want to destroy us. Think very carefully about not supporting this bill. This bill could wreck careers. If it becomes law, and drivers licenses are involved as in 9/11, "God forbid this happens," and all of the people he has spoken to in Homeland Security are against this, they say it is a political issue. They will testify against this, if we get hit, the eastern seaboard will shut down. The issue of undocumented illegal aliens, we will not put all of them out. If we get hit, it will change the face of the eastern seaboard. He says what is this about drivers insurance. 5,000 people took their non licenses and exchanged them for drivers license. The DMV is not looking for everything, all kinds of illegal aliens will slip through. This will change the entire system. When you change a system that has been in place for all of these years, you are making a huge mistake. He says the issue is homeland security.

Speaking with people they were angered because they believe in the Constitution and rule of law.

The Governor says he does not need the Legislature. Cloak of darkness, no public hearings.

The Governor did not ask questions at the front end. This senator says this violates rule of law.

Commissisioner says information they have will not be shared with any other agency. Why would you say that you have the information and then say you cannot have it without court order.

This violates Real Id - if you are on temporary basis (2,4 yrs) and you receive license for 8 years, this violates federal law

SENATOR FLANAGAN APPEARS ON CNN’S LOU DOBBS TONIGHT TO DISCUSS SPITZER’S LICENSING POLICY

"This plan was put in place without public debate, without a public vote and without the internal dialogue that is necessary to implement good public policy," stated Senator Flanagan. "There should have been a number of public hearings to discuss this important change and to get the public input that it deserves. As I said on the show, this has been forced on the residents of New York State and that is the wrong way to govern."

SENATOR LEIBELL HOLDS PUBLIC HEARING ON GOVERNOR’S PLAN TO ISSUE DRIVER’S LICENSES TO ILLEGAL ALIENS
