I've read elsewhere that those are probably of another boy with the same name on Facebook. But even if it is him, so what? The boy was killed, why should the media want to show those photos. Did the media not do the same for Natalee Holloway, the American who went missing while vacationing with her friends on the island of Aruba? They could have easily found something more scandalous of her and shown those, something a tabloid publication would do. The fact that he dresses a certain way or acts a certain way at that age does not change anything. The fact of that matter is if George had stayed in his car instead of confronting the boy, none of this would have happened. But following someone is not a crime, so the question becomes who initiated the attack first? Did George push or grab Trayvon first? Provoking Trayvon to react in self-defense? Or did Trayvon noice George following him and decide to stand his ground. He was on the phone with his girlfriend at the time of the confrontation.

People need to read the facts of the story instead of posting links to questionable YouTube videos that have been taken down by the owner most likely because he realized that he'd been duped.

I have read all of these post over and over and I think the point that is angering everyone is getting lost. I think we can all agree that we don't know all of the facts, but regardless both cases are sad.

The point being made is the difference on how each case is being handled and the reactions. How the media chooses the hotpoint words to incite feelings in the American public. They dictate which story fits their agenda and go with it.

They have regulated stories to ones skin color. They find nothing wrong with the terms Black vs White yet find the terms illegal immigrant or illegal alien to be offensive and inhumane.

So far on the Trayvon Martin's case I have not read anywhere that it was a hate crime; that anything points to him being shot because he was black. Yet the media jumped to labeling it a white vs black shooting. The Black Community and Black Panthers then start protesting and putting a reward for the arrest of Zimmerman? Now we have front page news. But was the media really reporting on a news story or were they creating news?

Then we have the Kansas Kid that was beaten because he was white. This is a pure and simple hate crime. Did the White Community start protesting? Was a reward placed on the black kids? The answer is no, so there is no front page news story there.

It is time for America to wake up to what equality really is about. It is time for our educators and media to come out with the truth. There is good and bad in every race and every color. Both sides of every argument had it's shameful moments in history. Every race and color has been discriminated or harrassed by the other. But the cycle will never be broken as long as we continue to play this game.

Americans are getting tired of being blamed and paying for the wrongs of our ancestors. It is time for putting our past aside and taking responsibility for who we are now. Just as the KKK and White Supremists were wrong and an embarrassment to every good American the Black Panthers and any other radical ethnic group is wrong and should be an embarrassment.

What a tangled we we weave (or have woven for us by TPTB.)

I'm with PattyK on her observation of the "white Hispanic" description in this story. I've never seen it put that way either and it really struck me as odd when I read it over the weekend.

...and yes, the older Trayvon is WAY bigger than in the younger pics of him they keep showing us. I don't know who is right or wrong in this - but I DO see a major lynching of someone who has not had his day in court yet and that is just plain wrong. I can only imagine if the tables were turned and the KKK was putting a bounty on a black shooter. Sure don't remember that when the DC sniper was picking white people off!

Perhaps we're reading and watching different news programs because I have yet to see a responsible journalist confirm this as a non-Black vs Black crime or a hate crime without there first being proof. The reason it has been brought up is because of George's 911 call and the language he used when describing the boy although there is no indication he uses a racial slur. And the reason this has blown up and not the Kansas one is because, as I've already said on this board, people feel the Stanford police were covering something up, acting unprofessionally, or refusing to cooperate with the parents of the victim. There are accusations of the investigators changing witness testimonies, witnesses coming out and saying so, and 911 recordings out in the public. Not to mention the rough history between the police and the black community in Stanford. What does all this lead to? Media coverage.

Has the police handled the Kansas crime with due diligence? Is the community satisfied with the handling of the case? If so, then there is no reason for the media to get involved.

Apparently a lot of people are searching on the terms WHITE HISPANIC and finding our discussion here at ALIPAC as well as the article and conversation about the 13 year old white kid set on fire by two black kids for being white.

His face book has been scrubbed of recent pictures, here is a you tube of his recent pic. I am posting these videos for the recent pics of Trayvon on them and no other reason. The second video has some obscene music but more pics from screen shots of his myspace, just so you are aware. I would leave the sound off.

Police report details alleged attack on Zimmerman

By NBC News, msnbc.com staff and news services

Updated at 3:40 p.m. ET: The man who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, setting off a nationwide outpouring of anger, told police that Martin knocked him down with a single punch and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times — an account that police said witnesses have corroborated, according to The Orlando Sentinel.

George Zimmerman, 28, has gone into hiding from the public, and his account of what happened one month ago hadn't previously emerged as demands for his arrest grew louder.

The Orlando Sentinel reported Monday that police said Zimmerman has described and re-enacted the events this way:

Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch captain, was walking back to his SUV when Martin approached him from behind. The two exchanged words, and Martin decked him with a punch to the nose and began beating him. Zimmerman told police he shot Martin in self defense.

Witnesses said they heard someone cry out in distress, some of them telling NBC News and other news organizations that it was Martin. But police told the Sentinel their evidence indicated it was Zimmerman.

One witness told police he saw Martin pounding Zimmerman on the ground. This witness was certain it was Zimmerman who was crying for help, the Sentinel reported.

When police arrived less than two minutes later, Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose, and he had a swollen lip and bloody lacerations to the back of his head, the newspaper reported. Police said Zimmerman wasn't badly injured and didn’t seek treatment until the next day.

In a statement, the Sanford Police Department said the Sentinel's report was "consistent with the information provided to the State Attorney's office by the police department." It said it hadn't authorized the disclosure.

Citing a police source, ABC News reported separately Monday that a 13-year-old witness told police he saw a man fitting Zimmerman's description lying on the grass moaning and crying for help seconds before he heard the gunshot.

Jackie Barnard, a spokeswoman for the 4th Circuit state's attorney's office, told NBC News that investigators and prosecutors returned to Sanford to continue their casework Monday and will soon meet with federal officials.

Barnard said she hadn't seen the Sentinel story but would share it with Corey and that she might have a comment later in the day.
Toxicology tests on Martin's body were still pending, but a spokesman for his family confirmed to NBC News that Martin was suspended for 10 days from Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School in Miami for possession of an empty marijuana baggie.

Ben Crump, an attorney for Martin's family, said at a news conference that Sanford police were "attempting to demonize and blame the victim by releasing bits and pieces of an ongoing investigation to build Zimmerman's claim up."
"Very clearly, whatever Trayvon Martin was suspended for had absolutely no bearing on what happened on the night of February 26," he said, adding that Martin "wasn't suspended for anything violent or criminal."
"If he and his friends experimented with marijuana, it's still completely irrelevant," Crump said.
Zimmerman's attorney, Craig Sonner, has suggested that he will invoke Florida's "stand-your-ground" law, which provides significant leeway for people to use deadly force if they feel their lives are in danger. Angela Corey, the special prosecutor reviewing the case, said that would make getting a conviction "more difficult than a normal criminal case."
"The stand-your-ground law is one portion of justifiable use of deadly force," prosecutor Angela Corey told ABC News. "And what that means is that the state must go forward and be able to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt. ... So it makes the case in general more difficult than a normal criminal case."
Corey added that it's also not clear whether prosecuting the death as a hate crime would lead to a conviction. Martin was black; Zimmerman's father is white and his mother is Hispanic.

The Daily Caller obtains Trayvon Martin’s tweets

The Daily Caller has obtained a compilation of the late Trayvon Martin’s tweets.

The social media scan, executed on PeopleBrowsr and supplied to TheDC by the individual who performed the search, contains tweets from the last month of Martin’s life, dating to the beginning of 2012.

Martin tweeted under the handle “NO_LIMIT_NIGGA,” an account that was closed shortly after his death.

The image attached to the Twitter account when Martin died matches one that has been widely distributed. That photograph of Martin depicts him smiling, gold-toothed, into a camera in front of an electronic dartboard.

TheDC is publishing these tweets in exactly the form it received them, with the sole exception of partially redacting Martin’s telephone number in one tweet.
Update: Shortly after TheDC published this archive Monday, Trayvon Martin’s account suddenly reappeared on Twitter. It was offline for at least one week.

Right wing websites, anonymous sources make allegations against Trayvon Martin

Twitchy, owned and operated by Michelle Malkin, a conservative pundit who is a frequent guest on Fox News, ran a picture of George Zimmerman in a suit and tie next to what they claimed was a picture of Trayvon Martin with no shirt and sagging pants.
After Eric Boehlert, senior fellow at the left-leaning organization Media Matters, tweeted a screenshot of the article Twitchy posted the following correction:

“Correction, 8:56 pm ET March 25, 2012: We made a mistake. The photo on the right is not of the Trayvon Martin who was shot by Zimmerman. We apologize to our readers and to the Martin family.”
