    Why Is GOP Now Party of Illegal Immigration, Entitlement?

    When considering which party with which to affiliate, it was my understanding that the GOP was comprised of conservatives who believed in:

    * Strong national defense
    * Fiscal responsibility--Controlled spending, Balanced budgets
    * Law and order
    * Minimal federal government---States' rights and autonomy
    * Low taxation
    * Individual responsibility
    * America First!

    I understood that to mean the GOP was committed to the security of the American people, and to shielding the American entrepreneurial spirit from oppressive over-governance. THAT was the party of hope.

    America rewarded THAT party with control over the White House and Congress, expecting Republicans to govern in accordance with conservative values. What in the hell happened and how? The mandate gifted to the GOP has been squandered and violated.

    Consider please:

    Our Republican president has refused to enforce our borders and immigration laws, even though the nation is at war. A real conservative would have stationed troops at the US-Mexico border and ordered the deportation of all illegal immigrants currently here.

    Our Republican president has presided over unprecedented deficit spending and accumulation of massive federal debt. A real conservative would have refused to endorse any out-of-balance budgets, and would have insisted on reduced spending.

    Our Republican president has worked with the likes of Ted Kennedy on the "No Child Left Behind" legislation. A real conservative president would have eliminated the Department of Education and insisted that state and local governments assume their rightful responsibility to educate our children.

    Our Republican president has endorsed the establishment of a new entitlement---prescription drugs---that will cost American taxpayers ten trillion dollars over the years. A real conservative president would have rejected such nonsense out-of-hand, and would have scolded any Republican congressperson who supported this surrender to socialism.

    Our Republican president has worked for the interests of the UAE, Mexico, etc. A real conservative would have advised Vicente Fox that the US is a sovereign nation and that our borders must not be violated.....or else. Such a president would have exhibited a passion for America First!

    Granted, our Republican president has been true to conservative values on taxation, judicial nominations(excepting the Harriet Miers moment) and the war on terror in Afghanistan and Iraq.

    THAT IS NOT NEARLY GOOD ENOUGH!

    America desperately needs public servants who will honor bed-rock conservative values in ALL matters, large and small, domestic and foreign.

    Another Republican Revolution is needed to force the GOP back to its conservative roots.

    Unless the GOP changes, and soon, there will be no longer be a GOP!

    Both parties want the same thing. Voting constituents that are brain-dead cult-like saps that will vote a party line no matter who the candidate is and no matter what the platform.

    But to answer the question of:
    Why Is GOP Now Party of Illegal Immigration

    A party is composed of people. So what type of person were you in 2004?

    Category 1. I held my ground and demanded enforcement of immigration laws prior to the election, otherwise Bush and republicans will not get my vote and they DID NOT get my vote

    Category 2. I said nothing before the election. I made no demands for my vote.

    Category 3.I took issue with those who talked about illegal immigration before a close election. They shouldn't be talikng about illegal imigration before an election because that could cost bush the election.

    So to answer your question:Why Is GOP Now Party of Illegal Immigration?
    Because there are too many category 2 and 3 voters. I was category 1. Which were you? You woud be surprised and maybe dissappointed in the number of people who claim to be ou our side but were in category 2 or 3 in 2004.

    If you are willing to give your vote away then WHY WHY WHY would any elected official ever try to earn it?? If you give your vote away without making demands then you provide no incentive for change.

    But here we are in 2006 and how many on our side will get duped again?
    I didn't get duped in 2004 and I won't get duped in 2006.

    Dear Republican,

    If guest worker amnesty for illegal aliens becomes law I will vote against EVERY republican (at all levels) on the ballot on Election Day 2006

    It does not matter if you are a U.S. Senator who voted against guest worker amnesty

    It does not matter if you are a U.S. Representative who voted against guest worker amnesty( we remember how you tricked and betrayed us with 245i)

    It does not matter if you are a state or local republican

    Every republican at every level is expected to stop guest worker amnesty from becoming law......and if you don’t........then

    If guest worker amnesty for illegal aliens becomes law I will vote against EVERY republican (at all levels) on the ballot on Election Day 2006

    Remember,it is MY vote, not yours!

    dxd,

    I'm with you 100% and I'm sending the same message to every Republican I can. I got another fund raising letter the other day from an out of state Republican candidate for the U.S. House. I sent it back to him on his stamp, with this message. When our elected Republican representatives, secure our borders, enforce our labor laws and deport all illegal aliens, then and only then will you recieve my support. Until then, I will vote against all Republican candidates.

    dxd----Category 1 here. I voted for Bush in 2000 expecting him to be a conservative. By 2004, I decided Bush was no more conservative than John Kerry. So I wrote in the name of Tom Tancredo---

    I love your letter to GOPers as well.
