More jumping ship....
Hi everyone, been out of touch with all the goings on around here, we have been trying to get things together, so we can get our own place out of town (finally!!).
I shared with you all that my mother (69) works for a large drycleaners in my hometown, where the employer knowingly hires illegal aliens.
She told me tonight that she found out two more people were leaving to go back to Mexico today. So she said she went to the front counter to say goodbye, and after they left, she asked the supervisor how they were getting home, since these people had admitted they swam over the canal along the California border to get here.
She was told they were flying home. So my mother asked "how can they pass through an international flight when they were here illegally? The supervisor then said "as far as I am concerned, everyone working here is legal" (in other words, she knew but if ever asked, just to play innocent)......My mother left that one as she felt her blood pressure rising with that statement.
She said they just keep leaving. Most have said they were going home because of the economy. Good news, but I told her the bad news is they have all had kids here, and expect that their kids can get them back in legally when the kids are 18 and just petition for it.
I would have to think that within that time frame, people need to be working on finding a way to force our government to acknowledge that the 14th Ammendment has been grossly abused and needs to work on not allowing anymore anchor babies through it, and if possible, even revoking the claims of prior illegal births."In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned. It is too bad we could not apply more political pressure to FAST FOOD, etc, to get them to stop hiring illegal aliens.

Millions are staying because they have U.S. citizen children already enrolled in the schools and get benefits for these kids they would never get back home. Now you see teenage anchor babies starting to have children themselves. America needs to stop birthright citizenship immediately because it is spiraling out of control.

Sure some are leaving but how many are staying just because they think an amnesty is going to be passed? I expect that when this next CIR is defeated the numbers leaving will increase at least tenfold.

I really don't know, and am just speculating here. The Lord is my Sheperd, I shall not want.

SicNTiredInSoCal, thanks, it has been a long haul to get where we could even consider moving. We hope to get into something either through the USDA's Rural Home Loan Program (loans for smaller lots with homes outside of populations of 10,000 or more to encourage people to live more self-sufficient) or if not through that, hoping to find someone willing to do a owner contract. Recently our town, Oregons fourth largest, was named with the highest crime rate in our state, with just over 100,000 people, we have over 114 known gangs to our police department. At least one of those gangs live here in our complex, and police have done little, and the landlord has done nothing, and we feel like sitting ducks.
Then...behind us, we have some "yuppy" types who have been harassing us, guess overall they are unhappy about this crummy set of rental behind them driving their value down, and we just happen to fully border their yard and they have zeroed in on us (everything we do), they keep peering over the six foot fence to find out what else they can complain to the city about (the most recent was we had chickens, city decided not to allow, it was in all the papers, so the neighbors called. Then after the chickens were gone, we still had the henhouse, and they called to whine we still had the henhouse so must still have the chickens).
So getting out to the countryside, where I initially grew up, and where people just mind their own ____ business, is something we are hoping for, heavily.
All, I can agree that not enough have gone, and some might stick to the U.S. like flies to fly paper. We just have to get that fly paper and throw it out (maybe that is our current Congress, Senate and executive administration?). True, we will not see the changes we know this nation needs till we vote out every lousy, bought out politician.
It is a good thing to see some trickle out though ."In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned.
