Thread: Why Liberals Should Oppose Illegal Immigration

I consider my self liberal. I make it no secret that I believe gay people should have rights, while i disagree with their life style, I am not the judge of creation so they should be treated as equals. I also believe that marijuana should be a legal substance and am convinced that it is not because of the interest of other vice industries (beer, liquor and tobacco).

That being said I am surprised at my fellow liberals. Why do they support illegal immigration? It goes against what most liberals believe in. Here are some reasons I fight against it.

- Supports a globalist agenda
- Supports big corporations views
- Decreases American jobs
- Illegal Aliens litter all over the border
- Illegal aliens can cause forest fires
- Promotes a lower-than normal level of health
- Promotes lack of education and progress
- Promotes division of peoples by segregation and language
- Promotes racial profiling and segregation in the workplace
- Promotes increased usage of electricity
- Promotes increased usage of gasoline
- Promotes uninsured driving
- Promotes one race getting benefits over others


those are just a few of the reasons I, as a liberal, oppose Illegal Immigration

Its not a left, right issue..

Its US Citizens and Legal Residents VS Politicians, Business, One World Economy(CFR, SPP, NAU)

You pretty much covered it.....I would add animal rights, and violence against women on the border.

What liberals don't get is that America was founded by the most progressive minds on the planet.....Then they want to tar what America is about. The Western way has been the most acceptable to liberalsim. But liberal groups decided to hate the American way, and ally with anti-Western movements......Sure......Replace our population with a slave, chauvanistic, religious zealot, collectivist, ethnocentric people.

Liberals in America have destroyed their own philosophy.

I agree. I am hoping this intrigues some liberals who might be trolling here to post a comment to me.

Here's a big one you forgot - it lowers American workers wages and reduces benefits. Furthermore, I always thought the Democrats were typically supporters of anything that helped poverty level Americans climb the economic ladder. Hmmm.........guess I was wrong because the proposed guest-worker program, AgJOBS program, and Z visa will have a devastating impact on our American citizen unskilled labor force.

My biggest issue of concern in all this is our federal governments failure to enforce the rule of law! Laws are written to protect the public, not to be ignored, especially by those who are tasked with ensuring enforcement. There are enough seriously damaging things surrounding the illegal immigrant issue that we can all find something to hate!

I agree wholeheartedly. Thanks for the post. This issue really is not a right or left issue. Anyone who has an ounce of patriotism and examines the issue with open eyes would be on our side.

True American liberals. men and women on the Left support the rights of American workers to earn a living wage, they understand that too many CEOs support open borders immigration to bring in union breaking labor who will work for sub minimum wage and no benefits.

True American liberals, men and women on the Left are environmentalists, they understand that California, Los Vegas Nevada can not bring in another 20 million people without destroying much of the water supply, paving over remaining wilderness areas to build roads, garbage dumps.

True American liberals and men and women of the Left support Western, American ideals of indifidual liberty, women's rights even gay rights, they understand that most Third World cultures, especially the Third World islamic world do not support Western liberal ideals of individual freedom.
Thus they are careful about immigration, lest we lose our liberty.

I note these very positive individuals on the Left who work on our side on immigration:

Eugene Debbs - socialist labor leader
Gov. Dick Lamm - Gov of Colorado - very strong against mass immigration.
Sierra Club - before the buyout by open borders Wall Street financier
Pym Fortuyn - murdered Dutch leader, voted greatest Dutch person of all time he broke the PC censorship named radical Islam through mass Muslim immigration as the greatest threat to Western, European liberty.

I don't see this current push for mass amnesty and more open borders as a "liberal" movement - it's Bush, Corporate interests and radical anti White groups like Laraza.

again I agree... but they have convinced... nay tricked liberals into buying it. Just look at the democratic hopefuls tip toeing around it. Hilary Clinton even said that if official english was passed that we couldnt print ballots in foreign languages.... wtf?

I think it's time Liberals took a stand against this Amnesty non-sense and reached across the aisle and across the land to our conservative neighbors who agree.

I myself sound like one nowadays. Never before have I been so anti-government, anti-corporate, and anti-elite. I thought it was only socialists who talked about NWO and hated G-8 and the WTO.

Nope. This is an American issue. La Raza wants to talk as if republicans and Democrats in our government are "reaching across the aisle," and thier is concensus with guys like Kennedy, Bush, and Kyle.

BS. AMERICANS, left and right, liberal and conservative, Rep and Dem, are reaching a consensus. We believe in the constitution. We believe in sovereignty. We believe in America.

You forgot to mention the Federal Reserve. The one that is actually in charge.
