Why the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition Demands Amnesty
A.N.S.W.E.R. is reportedly behind the illegal rallies. See http://www.alipac.us/ftopict-22233.html

Why the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition Demands Amnesty
Full Rights For All Immigrants Now!
The A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition (Act Now to Stop War & End Racism) fully supports the struggle of the immigrant community to win the rights that all people should enjoy, and we denounce the racist attempts to criminalize undocumented and all immigrant people. We are an organization composed of citizens, residents and undocumented people.
A.N.S.W.E.R. believes that all working people should back the demand: "Amnesty! Full Rights for All Immigrants!"
Immigration has increased in recent years because of U.S. neoliberal policies that rob countries like Mexico of the ability to develop and sustain their own economies. Thousands of people die trying to cross the border to survive. The media, government and corporations boast of the global economy that eliminates borders to enrich them. But those same companies and politicians - both Republican and Democrat - are erecting borders against humans and waging war on immigrant America.
What's behind the attacks on immigrants?
They are terrorizing and criminalizing immigrants through repressive legislation, like the racist Sensenbrenner Bill, HR 4437, while instructing the police to carry out arbitrary arrests, raids and deportations. They are militarizing the U.S.-Mexico border and hoping to add 700 miles to the massive border wall. They are blocking aid for immigrants and refusing to grant drivers' licenses to undocumented workers.
Corporations and politicians want to brutalize the people who work the hardest to keep society functioning - immigrant workers. Immigrants contribute billions to the U.S. economy and many, especially the undocumented, receive no benefits in return.
Yet, who cultivates, harvests, and packages the food we eat? Who sews the clothes that fill shopping centers? Who cleans the hotel rooms and offices of every U.S. city and town? Immigrants actively participate and work in all areas of life. Why then, would the government want to attack those who contribute so much to the economy?
They want to repress immigrants so their corporate allies get more profits. Repressive laws and terror campaigns allow them to exploit immigrants even more, driving down wages and working conditions for all workers. That's why racist politicians and media hacks are scapegoating immigrants for everything wrong in society. But immigrants aren't the real cause of unemployment or crime - it's the rotten system that puts profit over people.
How to fight back: Build a united people's movement
A.N.S.W.E.R. says to Congress and all the anti-immigrant racists that "No Human Being is Illegal!" Racism against immigrants emanates from the same forces behind the criminal war to conquer and control the wealth of Iraq.
There is a force strong enough to defeat the racist warmongers - the united people's movement. That is what changes history. That is what won the eight hour day, Social Security and the Civil Rights Act.
A.N.S.W.E.R. is working to build a movement that can transform society, disarm the Pentagon and win back all that has been stolen from us - from Los Angeles to Baghdad, Mexico City to Manila, Port au Prince to Gaza and everywhere. Join us in the struggle for amnesty and against war, racism and bigotry!

That rhetoric from A.N.S.W.E.R. is such tripe I can't help but wonder who it is aimed at.

It's aimed at the hopelessly gullible and naive.
I've seen this same crap appear over and over again since I was in college in the late 1960's, and while the cause celebre changes over time, the propaganda remains exactly the same.
Did you know we were in Viet Nam to steal their oil? Well, we were, according to an earlier version of ANSWER. We were also racist warmongers there, too. It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

that's why I keep saying this is NOT a battle over 'immigration' -- this is a battle over state's rights and the rights of the citizens

Another round of pro-illegal immigration demonstrations is scheduled to take place tomorrow. One of the groups organizing tomorrow's demonstrations is a Communist organization called International A.N.S.W.E.R. A.N.S.W.E.R., which has championed every tyrant from Kim Il John to Fidel Castro to Saddam Hussein, has now taken up the cause of illegal immigration, and was the principal organizer of the massive demonstration in southern California a week or two ago.
Last Wednesday, there was an A.N.S.W.E.R. meeting in Washington, D.C. at which A.N.S.W.E.R.'s National Coordinator, Brian Becker, and Juan Jose Gutierrez, Director of Latino Movement USA, spoke about illegal immigration as an aspect of the socialist movement and about the upcoming demonstrations. One of tomorrow's biggest demonstrations will take place in Washington, and A.N.S.W.E.R. and other radical organizations are expected to play a prominent role.
Unfortunately for A.N.S.W.E.R., the meeting was attended by a couple of bloggers from Vital Perspective, who taped the meeting and reported on it on their site. They shared their audiotape of the proceedings with us, and we have posted a short excerpt on Power Line Video. In this excerpt, you can hear Becker wonder whether there are undercover policemen present (he forgot about bloggers), pose a tough question to his audience, and speculate about how illegal immigrants could be the "catalyst for a broader class struggle, even possibly a revolutionary struggle."
I just posted enough from the above link to give everyone a better idea of just who this radicals are.
