What bothers me about the whole thing is that nothing was done to prevent this. After 9-11 they created fusion centers which would keep tabs on people and there were places people could phone and report lunatics like him. The college knew he was a troubled person from his videos.

Concentration was on the primary victim, but many others are gone. The judge was mentioned--- but isn't he the one who was involved in the Maldef case against Barnett? (Vincinte v Barnett). A 32 million dollar law suit against a rancher?

Just read some of theyoutube: Some of the things on t.v. seem misquotes. Like the young man saying he couldn't abide by the constitution due to its ramifications, but in the youtubes, it said ratification, (b/c he was talking about gold, silver, currency, elsewhere debt etc., he may have meant the 16th amendment. Elsewhere he says he won't pay debts.

When he talks about the "ad hominen" definition of terror, it seemed to suggest that he was trying to say "terrorist" is whatever the definer says it is, or maybe that the term is relative to one's enemies, kind of thing.

When he says he thinks the "government" is implying brainwash... he may have meant "applying" rather than "implying" ---he was a 22 yo student

However, I agree with Betsy's posting, sounds like no matter what he leaned towards, he was ceetainly mentally ill. He fixated on Gifford, maybe just because she was the representative of his district, nothing more.

The left wants to pin this directly on any conservative figure, and any conservative group, it is in their nature to want to smear anyone they oppose, even if the person who initiated the event was simply psychotic.

I see worse stuff than what he posted all over the internet all day every day.
If we locked all of them up we'd have half the country locked up.
And then we couldn't be sure who should be the inmates and who should have the key.
