    War Hawks Pretend that Questioning What’s Happening In Ukraine Means You’re a Putin Supporter

    Liberals correctly mocked Bush when he said of the Iraq war and the war on terror: “You’re either with us or you’re against us.”
    After all, such a black-and-white approach cuts off the ability to think, to look at the facts, and to address complexity.
    But the government and mainstream media is doing exactly the same thing in regards to Ukraine. In essence, they’re saying:
    You either support without question the new Ukrainian government – including military assistance from the U.S. and NATO - or you’re with Putin.
    As former Associated Press and Newsweek reporter Robert Parry writes:
    The demonization of Putin in the Western media has been so total that anyone who dares question the most extreme interpretations of his behavior is denounced as a “Putin apologist.” Indeed, any attempt to present a nuanced narrative of what has happened in Ukraine is dismissed as somehow promoting Russian imperialism or spreading Russian propaganda.
    This oppressive “group think” has, in turn, made formulating any rational policy toward Russia and Ukraine politically impossible in Official Washington.
    In the run up to the Iraq war, millions of Americans pointed out that Saddam Hussein might be an awful tyrant, but the “weapons of mass destruction” claims were false and so we shouldn’t plunge headlong into a disastrous war. (The protests against the Iraq war were the largest protests in history, and yet the politicians plowed ahead with the disastrous war and refused to listen to the facts … or the will of the people.)
    Millions of patriotic Americans are now saying the same thing about Ukraine. We’re saying:

    • Ukraine is complicated: the East and Crimean South which were previously part of the Soviet Union support Russia,while most of those living in the Western region of Ukraine despise Russia


    • Putin might be an awful tyrant, but there’s no evidence that he’s trying to take over the world





    We loyal Americans who were born and raised in the US are not secret Putin apologists, just as we were not closet Saddam supporters.
    But we can’t afford any more disastrous wars … and we should stay the h@ll out of conflicts which do not directly threaten the security of the United States.
    That actually makes us patriotic Americans … the Founding Fathers said that America should not get involved in foreign entanglements.

    In Search of a Good War

    The U.S. public is not longing for a U.S. war in Ukraine.

    Seven percent want military options considered (poll by McClatchy-Marist, April 7-10), up from six percent a bit earlier (Pew, March 20-23), or 12 percent for U.S. ground troops and 17 percent for air strikes (CNN, March 7-9).
    Polling is similar on U.S. desire for a war with Iran, or for U.S. military involvement in Syria. Many more Americans believe in ghosts and UFOs, according to the polls, than believe that these would be good wars.
    The U.S. public never got behind the war on Libya, and for years a majority has said that the wars on Iraq and Afghanistan never should have been launched.
    The search for a good war is beginning to look as futile as the search for the mythical city of El Dorado. And yet that search remains our top public project.
    The U.S. military swallows 55.2 percent of federal discretionary spending, according to the National Priorities Project. Televised U.S. sporting events thank members of the military for watching from 175 nations. U.S. aircraft carriers patrol the world’s seas. U.S. drones buzz the skies of nations thousands of miles from our shores.
    No other nation spends remotely comparable funds on militarism, and much of what the United States buys has no defensive purpose — unless “defense” is understood as deterrence or preemption or, indeed, aggression. As the world’s number one supplier of weapons to other nations, ours may be said to extend its search for a good war beyond its own affairs as well.
    A 2006 National Intelligence Estimate found that U.S. wars were generating anti-U.S. sentiment. Former military officials, including Stanley McChrystal, say drone strikes are producing more enemies than they are killing. A WIN/Gallup poll of 65 nations at the end of 2013 found the U.S. far ahead of any other as the nation people believed was the greatest threat to peace in the world.
    It is the ethics of a coward to believe that safety justifies all, but of a fool to commit immoral acts that actually endanger oneself. And what is more immoral than modern wars, with deaths and injuries so massive, so one-sided, and so heavily civilian?
    Military spending produces fewer jobs than spending on education or infrastructure, or even on tax cuts for working people, according to studies by the Political Economy Research Institute. It is the ethics of a sociopath to justify killing for economic gain, but of a fool to do so for economic loss.
    The military is our top consumer of petroleum and creator of superfund sites, in addition to being the hole into which we sink the funds that could address the real danger of climate change.
    War justifies secrecy and the erosion of liberties: warrantless surveillance, lawless imprisonment, torture, and assassination, even as wars are marketed as defending “freedom.”
    And of course the maintenance of nuclear and other weapons for war risks intentional or accidental catastrophe.
    The downsides to war, even for an aggressor nation with overwhelming fire power, are voluminous. The upside would seem to be that if we keep fighting wars, one of them might turn out to be a good one.
    But ask people to name a good war, and most will go back 73 years to World War II. A few will express badly misinformed views about Yugoslavia or Rwanda, but most will focus right in on Adolf Hitler. Think about that. Our top public project for the past three-quarters of a century has to go back that far to find a popular example of its use.
    We live in a vastly changed world, and public opinion reflects that. The power of nonviolent action to resist tyranny and injustice is dramatically more realized, as is understanding of nonviolent conflict resolution and wise conflict avoidance.
    Winston Churchill called World War II “the Unnecessary War” claiming that “there was never a war more easy to stop.” That war would not have happened without World War I, which nobody claims was itself unavoidable.
    Just as the U.S. sells weapons to abusive nations today and prioritizes militarism over aid to refugees, Western nations helped fund the rise of the Nazis and refused to accept Jewish refugees. There are ways to prevent situations from ever reaching the point of war.
    Or rather there would be if we weren’t so invested in the military industrial complex of whose “total influence” President Dwight Eisenhower warned.

    Americans Don’t Want War … But Warmongers Are Fighting Anyway

    Americans are overwhelmingly opposed to military involvement in Ukraine.
    But the American government has spent billions of dollars to influence events in Ukraine.
    And the head of the CIA secretly visited Ukraine shortly before violence escalated and advised the Ukrainian government to violently suppress protesters.
    And the CIA and FBI have sent in “advisers” to coordinate military strategy for the Ukrainian government.
    In 1997, the former U.S. national security advisor – and high-level Obama policy advisor – called for the U.S. to take Ukraine away from Russia. He’s now calling for the U.S. to directly arm the Ukrainian government.
    The American people may be against involvement in Ukraine, but the warmongers – as usual – will do it anyway.
    Postscript: Putin might be a tyrant … but the U.S. is backing mass-murdering neo Nazis. So it’s not like we’re on the side of angels.

    America’s “Immaculate Conception” Theory of War Crimes

    Ukrainian War Crimes Whitewashed by Western Press

    After more than 30 people died in a fire in the Ukrainian seaside resort town of Odessa, most of the Western press pretended that no one knows what happened or whose fault it was. For example, see these stories from the Guardian and BBC.
    But USA Today reports:
    Witnesses and journalists reported that as the building burned with people inside, a crowd shouted, “Glory to Ukraine!” and “Death to enemies!” [These are neo-Nazi slogans.]
    ***
    [T]he Associated Press reported that the Russian sympathizers took refuge in the trade union hall on Kulikovo Field Square after government supporters rousted their encampment outside and then burned their tents. Police said the building was set on fire with Molotov cocktails.
    At 5 seconds into this 15-second video, you can see a Molotov cocktail being thrown at the building in which the Russian sympathizers:



    Former Associated Press and Newsweek reporter Robert Parry adds details:
    As the building was engulfed in flames, some people who tried to flee were chased and beaten, while those trapped inside heard the Ukrainian nationalists liken them to black-and-red-striped potato beetles called Colorados, because those colors are used in pro-Russian ribbons.
    “Burn, Colorado, burn” went the chant.
    As the fire worsened, those dying inside were serenaded with the taunting singing of the Ukrainian national anthem. The building also was spray-painted with Swastika-like symbols and graffiti reading “Galician SS,” a reference to the Ukrainian nationalist army that fought alongside the German Nazi SS in World War II, killing Russians on the eastern front.
    Parry points out how bad New York Times coverage of the Odessa attack has been:
    On Saturday, for instance, the dominant story from Ukraine was the killing of more than 30 ethnic Russian protesters by fire and smoke inhalation in Ukraine’s southern port city of Odessa. They had taken refuge in a union building after a clash with a pro-Kiev mob which reportedly included right-wing thugs.
    Even the neocon-dominated Washington Post led its Saturday editions with the story of “Dozens killed in Ukraine fighting” and described the fatal incident this way: “Friday evening, a pro-Ukrainian mob attacked a camp where the pro-Russian supporters had pitched tents, forcing them to flee to a nearby government building, a witness said. The mob then threw gasoline bombs into the building. Police said 31 people were killed when they choked on smoke or jumped out of windows.
    “Asked who had thrown the Molotov cocktails, pro-Ukrainian activist Diana Berg said, ‘Our people – but now they are helping them [the survivors] escape the building.’” [Here's the Post story.]
    By contrast, here is how the New York Times reported the event in its Saturday editions as part of a story by C.J. Chivers and Noah Sneider focused on the successes of the pro-coup armed forces in overrunning some eastern Ukrainian rebel positions.
    “Violence also erupted Friday in the previously calmer port city of Odessa, on the Black Sea, where dozens of people died in a fire related to clashes that broke out between protesters holding a march for Ukrainian unity and pro-Russian activists. The fighting itself left four dead and 12 wounded, Ukraine’s Interior Ministry said. Ukrainian and Russian news media showed images of buildings and debris burning, fire bombs being thrown and men armed with pistols.”
    Note how the Times evades placing any responsibility on the pro-coup mob for trying to burn the “pro-Russian activists” out of a building, an act that resulted in the highest single-day death toll since the actual coup which left more than 80 people dead from Feb. 20-22. From reading the Times, you wouldn’t know who had died in the building and who had set the fire.
    Billmon comments:
    Not even “atrocities were commited,” just a fire “related” to clashes that “broke out.” Immaculate conception theory of war crimes.
    Postscript: While the Western press tries to paint the percentage of neo Nazis within the new Ukrainian government as small, the leader of the “protests” which ousted the previous president of Ukraine is a neo Nazi and follower of WWII Nazi sympathizer Stepan Bandera, and neo Nazis are largely in control of the new government.

    You’d never allow a favorite sport destroyed by psychopathic ‘officials;’ why allow the US destroyed?

    If a favorite sport was rigged so “officials,” game announcer, and reporting media allowed massive destruction of the rules that effectively devolved the game into a tragic-comic joke, you would be livid, speak-up, and take some kind of action.
    You can’t imagine this would ever occur because so many Americans are well-educated in “sports law,” are highly passionate in their love of their games, and quick to self-express when the sport suffers from an obviously bad/missed call by officials.
    For examples, Americans would speak, act, and end the following egregious sports violations of law if they occurred:

    • Baseball umpires and media allow the New York Yankees’ pitchers to throw pitches so far out of the strike zone that their catchers have to stand-up and move away from the plate to catch them, AND call those pitches strikes. Instant replay and multiple-camera technology confirm these pitches are out of the strike zone by as much as ten feet, yet umpires and media ongoingly claim these pitches are lawful strikes and umpires’ calls are final. Corporate media focus on Yankee history of winning, how the players are really good guys, and charities the players and their wives support, but never on the hard evidence of where these pitches are actually located.
    • Football officials and media allow the San Francisco 49ers defense to tackle the opposing offense center before the snap, steal the ball, and call this a recovered fumble for the 49ers. This happens whenever the 49ers want to do it (average five times per game), is lauded as their new “Surge defense,” but always ruled as an “offside” violation by 49er opponents when they try it. Corporate media discuss the 49ers new stadium, West Coast innovations applied to football, and again charities the players and wives support, but never on factual analysis of the play in question.
    • Tennis officials and media allow John McEnroe’s 2014 “comeback” (yes, he still plays excellent tennis at age 55) by having balls he hits outside his opponent’s court by as much as ten feet to be called “in.” The distances the ball lands away from the lines are clearly seen by spectators, documented on replays, and shown on the multiple-camera computer programs as so far out to be impossible the calls were innocent mistakes in judgment. Opponents’ balls hit into McEnroe’s court are called “out” when McEnroe falls behind in a game, even if the documented evidence show the ball “in” by several feet. Corporate media focus on McEnroe’s history of winning, his personality, past relationships, musical interests, and being a unique athlete to enjoy, but never the factual analysis of ball location in the matches that allow McEnroe to “win.”

    Again, this is impossible to imagine because there is no history of such ridiculous lies close to these three fictional sports examples, and Americans are so powerful in their knowledge of the sports they wouldn’t allow it. Their voices at these sports events would clearly communicate they know damn well those games are rigged, “officials” are intentionally lying, and corporate media is also complicit in the rigged outcomes.
    The liars would be clearly seen for what they are, shamed into surrender so Americans could reclaim their beloved sport, and Americans would be rightly proud of their required activism.
    This said, Americans do allow their nation to be destroyed by rigged and unlawful Wars of Aggression under our flag and honor, with our tax dollars, and war-murdering millions of people.
    America has become a tragic-comic joke (also considered the most dangerous nation to world peace) because our wars are as ridiculous as the above sports examples. Here’s the six-sentence summary; full documentation here and here:
    Current US wars, including any attack on Syria, Ukraine, and/or Iran, are Orwellian unlawful because US armed attacks, invasions, and occupations of foreign lands are unlawful Wars of Aggression. Two US treaties, the Kellogg-Briand Pact and UN Charter, make armed attacks on another nation unlawful unless in response to armed attack by that nation’s government. Under Article Six of the US Constitution, a treaty is our “supreme Law of the Land;” meaning that no order can compromise a US active treaty.
    Current US wars and rhetoric for more wars continue a long history of lie-began US Wars of Aggression since the US invaded Mexico; despite Abraham Lincoln’s powerfully accurate rhetoric of President Polk’s lies to steal half of Mexico at the expense of US military and Mexican civilian lives. The most decorated US Marine general in his day also warned all Americans of this fact of lie-started wars for 1% plunder.
    Such lie-began and unlawful US wars have killed ~30 million since WW2, arguably more than Hitler’s Nazis.
    Want something better, like the justice of a fair game on a level playing field?

    Open proposal for US revolution: expose corporate media as propaganda. 4 of 4.

    Don't be confused by the title. Carl - like all of us at Washington's Blog - is against violent revolution, following instead the non-violent paths of Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. As we have previously written:

    Why corporate media propagandizes and won’t expose the “emperor has no clothes” obvious: They’re complicit with government “leadership” is the prima facie explanation. Let’s examine this important question more closely.
    Much of the factual evidence I provided was probably new and surprising. Given the importance of the information in this paper, verifiable factual credibility, and expert testimony to promote it, the fact that corporate media will not comprehensively report it is circumstantial evidence of collusion to support unlawful government policies. Circumstantial evidence is not definitive, but will raise your eyebrows to ask why you haven’t been informed from corporate media sources.
    We have verified history of official government propaganda having infiltrated corporate media. The Church Senate Committee hearings had the cooperation of CIA Director William Colby’s testimony that over 400 CIA operatives were controlling US corporate media reporting on specific issues of national interest in what they called Operation Mockingbird. This stunning testimony was then confirmed by Pulitzer Prize reporter Carl Bernstein’s research and reporting. Of course, corporate media refused to publish Bernstein’s article and it became the cover-story for Rolling Stone. Bernstein provides additional information of CIA control in the Senate report and corporate media subsequent reporting:
    “Pages 191 to 201 were entitled “Covert Relationships with the United States Media.” “It hardly reflects what we found,” stated Senator Gary Hart. “There was a prolonged and elaborate negotiation [with the CIA] over what would be said.”
    Obscuring the facts was relatively simple. No mention was made of the 400 summaries or what they showed. Instead the report noted blandly that some fifty recent contacts with journalists had been studied by the committee staff—thus conveying the impression that the Agency’s dealings with the press had been limited to those instances. The Agency files, the report noted, contained little evidence that the editorial content of American news reports had been affected by the CIA’s dealings with journalists. Colby’s misleading public statements about the use of journalists were repeated without serious contradiction or elaboration. The role of cooperating news executives was given short shrift. The fact that the Agency had concentrated its relationships in the most prominent sectors of the press went unmentioned. That the CIA continued to regard the press as up for grabs was not even suggested.”
    Let’s consider the specific case of corporate media collusion with official government rhetoric to lie about Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s October 2005 speech and contrive a non-existent physical threat to Israel. First: for the US political leaders and corporate media to accuse the president of Iran with threatening to destroy Israel, that’s the most serious of accusations. A threat of national destruction is the most vicious statement a head of state can make. For corporate media to not be in collusion to “report” this proven lie would have to mean that everyone involved in the story never read the speech in question, never consulted with Persian experts, and disregarded all people like me who informed them of their egregious error. Again, here’s my link of corporate media’s “reporting” in print and television allowing US political leaders to lie and repeating the lie themselves.
    Of course, you have to verify the speech in order to not interpret the facts as a mistranslation or possible translation. This is appropriately analogous to checking the instant replay of the pitch at the baseball game to make sure it really was so outrageously outside the strike-zone that an “official” call that the pitch was a strike is stating a known lie. If it was an immediate error, it could and should have been corrected. That six years have passed and corporate media doesn’t inform Americans of the actual content and context of the speech is absolute evidence of an official propaganda arm of the same oligarchy spinning for unlawful war against Iran.
    I’ve written articles providing evidence for obvious war propaganda to attack Iran identical to what we witnessed before the US attacked Iraq. From my article on CNN’s “reporting”:
    When we now know that all claims for war with Iraq were known lies as they were told (and verbally explained here), and CNN provides similar innuendo for war by an unsourced alleged report with concerns of what might occur in the future allegedly stated by an unnamed US source reporting on an unnamed foreign source, this is propaganda and not news.
    For another specific example, Mike Wallace of the famed television show 60 Minutes won an Emmy for a contrived interview with President Ahmadinejad in 2006, where Mr. Ahmadinejad’s comments encouraging democracy for Palestinians was edited to appear that he was hostile to Israel. You can verify this “emperor has no clothes” obvious lies and propaganda by watching the brief 5-minute clip for yourself in this article.
    "Torture at Times: Waterboarding in the Media," a paper published from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, found from the 1930s to 2004 that The New York Times reported waterboarding as torture 82% of the time, and The Los Angeles Times did so 96%. After stories broke that the US was waterboarding "detainees" in US unlawful wars, the papers' reporting of waterboarding as torture dropped to 1% and 5%, respectfully. In addition, after the US admitted to waterboarding, The Wall Street Journal called it torture in just 1 of 63 articles (2%), and USA Today never called it torture.
    Just as only one in five Americans report trust and satisfaction with their government, Americans also perceive corporate media disinformation and are rejecting their “reporting.” According to a 2007 poll by the Pew Research Center, the majority of the American public see the US major media news organizations as politically biased, inaccurate, and uncaring. Among those who use the Internet, two-thirds report that major media news do not care about the people they report on, 59% say the news is inaccurate, 64% see bias, and 53% summarize their view on major media news as, “failing to stand up for America.” In their latest poll, “just 29% of Americans say that news organizations generally get the facts straight, while 63% say that news stories are often inaccurate.”
    A June 2010 Rasmussen poll found 66% of voters "angry" at the media, with 33% "very angry." Rasmussen also found 70% "angry" at current federal government policies.
    The genesis of oligarchic control of American major media was reported in the US Congressional Record in 1917. US Congressperson Oscar Callaway claimed evidence that J.P. Morgan had purchased editorial control over 25 of the nation's most influential publications in order to create public support for US entry into World War 1 and his new banking legislative victory: creation of the Federal Reserve system. Mr. Callaway's colleagues voted down an official investigation.

    Importantly, it is also likely that disinformation programs infiltrate the comments of independent writers, like this source that you’re reading. Don’t be surprised if my proposal for Revolution attracts propagandistic attack of predictable rhetorical fallacies such as slurs of my character, straw-man arguments of what I write, denial of facts, lies of omission of central facts, and whatever other BS (thank you, Professor Frankfurt). The discerning characteristic of all propaganda is non-factual bravado and specious argument in order to maintain manipulative control of an agenda and distract attention from the damning facts.
    You, the reader, are sharp enough to discern such propaganda.
    The specific pathway for Revolution will be created as Dr. King and Gandhi discovered: through trial and error. What we’ve learned through their process is broad public and political communication of the facts and appropriate formal policy requests to honor what we’ve already won under the law. I’m among several who champion a policy strategy of an American Truth and Reconciliation process. When one confirms the lies for war and economic fraud, the obvious conclusion is that “leadership” of both parties are so deeply involved in criminal acts that perhaps the best response is to split those willing for a “Scrooge conversion” to disclose critical facts in exchange for no prosecution.
    Martin King and Mohandas Gandhi demonstrated in their campaigns that transformative civic education causes a critical mass of educated people for breakthroughs in history-altering public policy. The public benefits of Revolution are the end of unlawful US wars and turning trillions of our dollars from unlawful fraudulent profits of an oligarchy to the public good of Americans producing the real economic value.
    Again, imagine: how could you have helped the Civil Rights movement if Dr. King had asked? What would you have done if Gandhi asked for your help?
    In the converse: would you be proud today of rejecting Dr. King’s direct invitation for partnership in a Revolution for Civil Rights when he was only asking for public education on the clear letter and spirit of the 14thAmendment? Would you be proud today of rejecting Gandhi’s direct request for partnership in civic revolution to end the evils of unwanted imperialism by the strong against the weak?
    This is how Mr. Gandhi and Dr. King saw their civic educational challenge:
    "One thing we have endeavoured to observe most scrupulously, namely, never to depart from the strictest facts and, in dealing with the difficult questions that have arisen during the year, we hope that we have used the utmost moderation possible under the circumstances. Our duty is very simple and plain. We want to serve the community, and in our own humble way to serve the Empire. We believe in the righteousness of the cause, which it is our privilege to espouse. We have an abiding faith in the mercy of the Almighty God, and we have firm faith in the British Constitution. That being so, we should fail in our duty if we wrote anything with a view to hurt. Facts we would always place before our readers, whether they are palatable or not, and it is by placing them constantly before the public in their nakedness that the misunderstanding… can be removed."

    I do not place myself in Gandhi and Dr. King’s company, and I assume that neither do you. But I do suggest that We the People are like in spirit and will stand for Revolution in the face of War Criminals and destruction of trillions of families’ and children’s dollars.
    In consideration for Revolution, you should also know that the King family's civil trial found the US government guilty of Dr. King's assassination. US Corporate media refused to cover the trial or interview Dr. King's wife. His family's opinion is that the US government murdered Dr. King to end his protests against unlawful US wars and his call to end poverty.
    In conclusion: The century within which we were all born witnessed over 250 million human beings slaughtered by governments in war and atrocities. War is used as a continuous “foreign policy,” with the US in present egregious and unlawful abuse of their superpower status. History will judge when Americans developed the education competence to evolve beyond endless wars.
    You can help make that time now.
    Revolution in the steps from Gandhi and MLK are simple to understand:

    1. Because the facts are so easily verified and all on our side, education of anyone and everyone is one component. This will become a sophisticated and multi-front campaign similar to the Civil Rights Movement.
    2. Create public and political will. Gandhi demanded political independence of India. Dr. King demanded equal treatment under the law. Millions of Americans informed of the facts can and should demand an end of unlawful war, return of Constitutional rights, and the end of parasitic criminal fraud of trillions of our dollars every year. The fact of "emperor has no clothes" obvious UNLAWFUL war is a trigger for those of us with Oaths to defend the US Constitution to refuse all orders for unlawful war and act for the arrest of those who issue them.
    3. An elegant way for peaceful surrender of War Criminals and “banksters.” I’m a leader for the education and promotion of Truth and Reconciliation to exchange full factual disclosure and return of public assets for no prosecution. Those who decline will be prosecuted after the window of Truth and Reconciliation closes.

    There are related issues with war, economic oligarchy, and propaganda that can and should be included in this proposal for Revolution. To keep this paper relatively brief, I’ve kept the topics limited. These related issues include torture, unlimited detention, extrajudicial assassination (all of which are unconstitutionally applied, including to American citizens), unaccountable elections on electronic voting machines that exit poll data prove are "fixed," and more; all or which cannot exist in a society worthy of the title, “free.” "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

    False East/West Paradigm Hides The Rise Of Global Currency

    Despite popular belief, very few things in our world are exactly what they seem. That which is painted as righteous is often evil. That which is painted as kind is often malicious. That which is painted as simple is often complex. That which is painted as complex often ends up being disturbingly two dimensional. Regardless, if a person is willing to look only at the immediate surface of a thing, he will never understand the content of the thing.
    This fact is nowhere more evident than in the growing “tensions” between the elites of the West and the elites of the East over the crisis in Ukraine.
    I am continually astonished at the refusal of many otherwise intelligent people to consider the evidence or even the possibility that there is, in reality, no fundamental political or philosophical conflict between the power brokers of the East and the West. As I outlined in great detail in Russia Is Dominated By Global Banks, Too, the truth is they are both working toward the same goal; and both ultimately benefit from an engineered and theatrical display of international brinksmanship.
    Russia, like the United States, is utterly beholden to globalist financiers through organizations like the International Monetary Fund and the Bank for International Settlements. Russia’s global economic adviser in matters ranging from investment image to privatization is none other than Goldman Sachs.
    Goldman Sachs has also worked closely with the Ukrainian government since 2011, and it started its advisory work with Ukraine for free. (Whenever Goldman Sachs does something for free, one should take special note.)
    Russia has continued to borrow billions of dollars from Western banks, including Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse, year after year.
    Russian President Vladimir Putin meets with Mr. New-World-Order himself, Henry Kissinger, on a regular basis; and according to Putin’s press secretary, they are “old friends.” Putin’s meetings with Kissinger began almost immediately after he first took power in 2000.
    Putin’s relationship with Kissinger has been so pronounced that the Russian Foreign Ministry gave Kissinger an honorary doctorate in diplomacy, and Putin placed Kissinger at the head of a bilateral “working group” — along with former KGB head and multilateralist (globalist) Gen. Yevgeny Primakov — dealing with foreign policy.



    In more recent news, I would also remind pro-Putin cheerleaders that Putin and the Kremlin first pushed for the IMF to take control of the Ukrainian economy, and the IMF is now demanding that Ukraine fight Russia in exchange for financial support. This might seem like irony to more foolhardy observers; but to those who are aware of the false East/West paradigm, it is all the part of a greater plan for consolidation of power.
    Clearly, Putin and Russia are just two more puppet pieces on the globalist chessboard, pitted against other puppets in the West in a grand theater designed to distract and divide the masses through chaos. As Kissinger points out, in crisis there is opportunity.
    What is the goal? They’ve already told us, openly, on numerous occasions.
    The first great prizes of the New World Order are a global currency and centralized economic control. Heads of state from around the world, including Putin, as well as international bankers and IMF representatives have all publicly called for the IMF to take charge of the global economic system through its Special Drawing Rights currency program.
    However, for the SDR to become a dominant currency, several issues must be resolved. Here’s a short list.

    The U.S. Dollar Must Fall

    The dollar must lose its world reserve status, and most likely collapse in relative value, before the SDR can be elevated. This is where mainstream pundits lose track of the facts. For them, the dollar is an invincible monetary element, a currency product as infinite as time. Their normalcy bias prevents them from ever acknowledging the many weaknesses of the Federal Reserve note, including our country’s inability to ever service its more than $200 trillion debt. Others believe the dollar is the NWO currency, and that the globalists are somehow U.S.-centric. The evidence posted above suggests otherwise. Globalists have no loyalty to any nation or culture. Their only loyalty is to the progression of their own power. If sacrificing the dollar or the U.S. as a whole furthers that power, then they will have no problem cutting us loose like a rotting appendage.

    A Liquidity Replacement Must Be Introduced

    As my regular readers know, I have been covering China’s progression toward a decoupling from the U.S. economy for years. China, in my view, has always been the key to the elitist shift into a truly global currency mechanism. The primary argument in the mainstream against the idea of a dollar collapse is that there is no other currency with ample liquidity to take the dollar’s place. Well, in the past couple of years, this has changed.
    China and the banks it controls have issued approximately $25 trillion in debt instruments and monetization. This is often referred to as a “debt bubble” created through panic and a weakness in China’s economy and a response to quantitative easing in the United States. I would take a slightly different position. I would say that China’s monetization has been carefully and deliberately engineered in order to lay the foundation for a massive liquidity spike in the Yuan. The argument that China’s incredible debt generation is a sign of impending collapse may be misguided. U.S. debt, including unfunded liabilities, absolutely dwarfs China’s $25 trillion. If any economy is on the verge of implosion, it is that of the United States, not of China.
    The Chinese need exponential Yuan circulation. They do not want it to replace the dollar; they are preparing it for induction into the IMF’s Special Drawing Rights basket.
    When might this occur?
    The IMF holds an international conference and policy meeting on the SDR every five years. During these meetings, the IMF decides if it will absorb a new currency into the basket and if it will expand the creation or circulation of SDRs around the world. Interestingly, the next IMF conference on the SDR just happens to be scheduled for the end of 2014 to the beginning of 2015.
    Another strange coincidence: The U.S. Congress was supposed to vote on legislation for further capital allocations to the IMF by April. The vote never came. The new allocations were to fund an expansion of IMF programs and help with the greater inclusion of BRIC nations in governing decisions. If the U.S. government does not pass this legislation, Russia and other nations have demanded that the IMF move forward without the United States on reforms. At the very least, the U.S. would lose its veto power over IMF decisions. I believe that the timing of this is deliberate, that the U.S. is meant to lose its veto power and that the simultaneous SDR conference will announce the inclusion of the Chinese Yuan, setting the stage for the replacement of the dollar as world reserve.
    The SDR will not immediately be issued as a commonly traded currency itself. Rather, the IMF will take over management of included currencies and denominate those currencies using SDR valuations. For example, $1 U.S. is worth only .64 SDR today. In the near future, I expect that the dollar will plummet in relation to the SDR’s value. We will still have our greenbacks when the IMF begins administrating our currency system, but the international and domestic worth of those greenbacks will fall to pennies. In turn, other currencies with stronger economic positions will rise in worth relative to the SDR.
    I believe one of the primary determinations in a currency’s value compared to the SDR will be a country’s stockpile of gold. This is why Russia and China in particular have been purchasing precious metals at an unheard-of rate (and why U.S. gold reserves have never been audited). The IMF itself is one of the world’s largest holders of physical gold, with nearly 3,000 metric tons (officially). With the crash of the dollar system and investors clamoring for a reliable hedge to protect whatever savings they have left, gold could conceivably skyrocket into the $5,000 to $10,000 per-ounce range. Governments holding the metal will be favorably placed during an implementation of the SDR as the new reserve standard.

    A Cover Event Must Be Created

    The centralization of power is best achieved during moments of bewildering calamity. The conjuring of crises is one of the oldest methods of elitist dominance. Not only can they confuse and frighten the masses into malleability, but they can also ride to the public’s rescue as heroes and saviors later on. The Hegelian dialectic is the mainstay of tyrants.
    The destruction of the dollar and the institution of a global economic bureaucracy are not actions that can be executed openly by international financiers. These events will coincide with extreme catastrophe, likely worse than the Great Depression era, with millions upon millions of people losing the ability to financially support themselves and their families. Crime, death and public discontent will surely follow. People will be looking for someone to blame. This is where the false East/West paradigm comes in.
    I have warned for quite some time that the development of East/West tensions would be used as a cover for a collapse of the dollar system. I have warned that among the American media this collapse would be blamed on an Eastern dump of foreign exchange reserves and treasuries, resulting in a global domino-effect ending U.S. world reserve status. In turn, the international community would be conditioned to see this as the mere bumbling of a spoiled America gone power-mad, rather than the result of a covert program of economic destabilization. This might lead to all-out war or a fiscal firestorm that leaves much of the world crippled and desperate for aid.
    In either case, the elitist plan is to use scapegoats and false enemies to draw our attention away from the real culprits: the international banks themselves. Make no mistake: This fight is not about President Barack Obama, it is not about Putin and it is not even about the Federal Reserve. These men are tools, errand boys, public mascots. Do not be fooled by the global stage play being perpetrated. Whatever happens in Ukraine and whatever happens between Russia, China and the West, there are only two real sides to this battle: the elitist establishment and those who are smart enough to recognize their poison.

    The Beginning Of The End For The Leaders Of The ‘Free World’… Humanity Awakens!

    The leaders of the “free world” are on the run. In many cases, they can’t go out and travel due to the risk of being arrested, protested or even having a shoe thrown at them.
    In just the past few weeks, first lady Michelle Obama, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Attorney General Eric Holder have had to cancel appearances due to protests.
    They’re just the latest in a long line.
    Obama canceled the commencement speech she was scheduled to give at a Kansas high school after nearly 2,000 people signed a petition protesting her appearance.
    Over the weekend, we learned that Rice cancelled her appearance at Rutgers University due to protests.
    “Commencement should be a time of joyous celebration for the graduates and their families,” Ms. Rice wrote in a Facebook post. “Rutgers’ invitation to me to speak has become a distraction for the university community at this very special time.”
    Rutgers faculty and anti-war activists berated the university administration for offering Rice the speaking slot, citing her “efforts to mislead the American people about the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.”
    That cancellation came only one week after Holder’s last-minute cancellation of his speech at a police academy graduation for 42 cadets. Holder’s cancellation comes on the heels of the House holding him in contempt for road-blocking an investigation into a covert gun-running sting called Fast and Furious. His appearances prompted threats of protests, with opponents noting that Holder was an “ironic” choice of speaker because of his “tactics of obfuscation and redirection of blame” as attorney general.
    The recent cancellations come after many U.S. leaders have had to cancel appearances as people all over the world wake up to their violent and criminal ways. Former Vice President Dick Cheney has had to cancel multiple appearances, for example, in Canada because it was “too dangerous” for him, a former leader of the “free world.”
    “Basically they felt that it would be a major security issue if Vice President Cheney came back to Canada,” said Ryan Ruppert, president of Spectre Live Corp, which was promoting Cheney’s speech.
    The first time, in 2011, Cheney’s appearance at a $500-a-plate book club dinner in Vancouver had a shadow cast over it by protesters who blocked the entrance to the venue and were beat by police. Cheney had to stay inside while police dispersed the crowd.
    The protesters were calling for Cheney’s arrest over war crimes.
    George W. Bush had to cancel a visit to Switzerland where he was to address a Jewish charity gala. He was worried about possible legal action against him for alleged torture, as pressure has been mounting on the Swiss government to arrest him and open a criminal investigation if he enters into the country. Swiss judicial officials have said that Bush would still enjoy a certain diplomatic immunity as a former head of state.
    In 2002, Henry Kissinger cancelled a trip to Brazil because of human rights protests. Kissinger was even sought by French police during a visit to Paris in a case involving a French citizen murdered by the U.S.-backed military dictatorship in Chile.
    The state as a façade is fading as the Internet helps people wake up to the true terrorists and criminals. We expect more of these types of protests to cancel future events in the United States and elsewhere, and many of the top criminals in the U.S. government will continue to have a hard time traveling internationally without being arrested for their crimes.

    Millennials Distrust Government

    A new poll surveying young Americans’ political attitudes released by Harvard University’s Institute of Politics found millennials have less trust in government than ever before — that includes the Presidency, the military, Congress, the Supreme Court and the Federal government as a whole. The President and the military lost the most trust among young Americans, with a seven-point drop. The pollsters said the level of trust millennials have in “most American institutions tested in our survey” had dropped below even “last year’s historically low numbers.” Look at this dramatic drop:

    The pollsters also created this chart showing young peoples’ levels of trust in almost every public institution. Across the board, the “commanding heights” of society are not trusted.


    “Currently, less than one-in-four (24%) young Americans under the age of 30 say that they will ‘definitely be voting,’ in the upcoming midterm elections for Congress, a sharp decrease of 10 percentage points since the Fall,” the pollsters said. “During a similar time of the year in 2010, 31 percent of 18- to 29- year olds reported that they would definitely vote.”
    The people are awakening, and it is beautiful to watch.

    Russian Planes Buzz California Coast in Show of Force

    Russia is banging its chest right now in a show of strength with the United States. The commander of U.S. air forces in the Pacific, Gen. Herbert Carlisle, has reported a significant increase in activities by Russian planes and ships in the region and it could be linked to the situation in Ukraine. He said Russia was demonstrating its capabilities and gathering intelligence on U.S. military exercises.

    Carlisle said there had been long-range Russian air patrols to the coast of California and a circumnavigation of the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam.
    The commander also said a U.S. F-15 fighter jet intercepted a Russian strategic bomber that had flown to Guam.

    "It's a combination of things that's to demonstrate their capability to do it," Carlisle said Monday at the Center for Strategic and International Studies think tank in Washington, according to a Reuters transcript of his remarks. "Certainly what's going on in Ukraine and Crimea is a challenge for us and it's a challenge for us in Asia Pacific as well as Europe."

    Carlisle deemed it a significant "increase in the activity from Russia in the Asia-Pacific, and we relate a lot of that to what's going on in the Ukraine."

    Carlisle also reported a sharp increase in Russian air patrols around Japanese islands and Korea.
