    Illegals at Miami Dade College

After reading about that girl who was deported back to Peru and talking to my daughter who also knows illegals that go to Miami Dade College I began to wonder how they are paying for it. These illegals are considered international students. As international students twelve credits in summer terms A ad B combined cost $3,022.00 and twelve credits in the spring term cost $3,150.00 and I don't think that those costs include mandatory medical insurance coverage. Refer to the link below for more information.

My question is how can they afford this? Also to be an international student you need to leave the United States and go back to your country of citizenship to get your F1 visa. You also need proof of ability to pay for tuition, books, and other necessaties such as school supplies, transportation, and personal items as well. This proof is not required for one semester but the entire time it takes to get your degree.

There's probably a TON of loopholes for illegals. WE are probably paying for their education.

They probably get cheaper tuition, SS, and other services to help them. And of course food stamps. I think SS covers them til they are 21 if they are in college. Then there are all kinds of grants they could get.

I wish my children could get a break from tuition like these illegals. I think it is discrimination that they should get help like that and citizens of the United States do not. We pay higher tuitions so these illegals can go to college. It is not right. The citizens of the United States should be screaming at this.

Gosh, I remember way back when, when I wanted to go to college but couldn't get financial aide. We grew up beyond poor and I still didn't qualify. It's lovely to hear how illegals can attend college but an American can't.

well if they just lie on a form where it asks "are you a US citizen?" and if necessary make up a SSN they bypass that whole thing. According to illegal alien forums, loads of them scam our system that way.

And even if they are illegal and don't try to hide it they never make them pay international tuition. Only out-of-county/state tuition just as if they were Americans.

    Hmmm...

    Just curious...

For the last week we've been following the increase in foreclosures, mortgage defaults, cries for loan bailouts, the crumbling housing market, flipping and subprime loan abuse, etc, etc,...

I wonder if there is also a problem with student loans that is being kept under the radar:

    1. Has there been an increase in loan defaults?
    2. Are illegals playing a role?

    =
Not serious about illegals, outsourcing and insourcing? Wait until magicians pull illegals out of their hats...

History does repeat itself and I keep stumbling on interesting information that is coming together in my mind. I just need to do some fact checking. Here are 2 web sites that I have found to be interesting in putting some pieces of the puzzle together. They are very wordy but valuable reading if you can stick with it. I think that they explain our current condition both financially and in the context of the immigration debacle. Read with an open mind and please share your thoughts...

I think what they do is use the parents fake ID or real SSN in the case of overstaying a visa and pay stubs from now and a year ago. There are a number of items the college accepts as proof of residency. Just as long as the potential student got their diploma and not a GED they could get away with it. To get a GED you need a SSN if you don't have one you get a state ID number unless of course you buy a stolen or fake one.
Illegals cannot get scholarships as you have to be a legal resident or citizen of the U.S. and there are some countries that give international students up to 25 credits at resident cost but the person has to return back to the country for the amount of time they got the reduced cost education. Those counties include: Brazil, Canada, some Caribbean Islands, China, Eastern Europe, Mexico and some western African countries.
What annoys me is that by allowing illegals in state tuition is that it takes spots away from American kids as there is a limited amount of students they can accept. When my daughter wanted to do dual enrollment (part day high school and part day college) she was refused by the college but Hispanics both legal and illegal got. The ones she knew about were the ones who went to her school.
Another interesting fact is that the states where the illegals get in college at in state tuition are the ones you don't hear much about allowing illegal students in state or out of state tuition.

On top of that my school means nothing and all that money I spent going to a vocational school is wasted!!! I went for a network engineering courses where that job is both outsourced and H-1Bs take'm leaves me in the dumps!!! I wish and would expect the government to help me or pay my loan off because of this!!! Where is my parade or people fighting for me??? And well any American thats in the same boat as me!!!
