Your Opinion Please - Churches That Enable Illegals
We need to show what Americans really think in regard to the Illegal Immigration issue! Hopefully, this may serve to assist our ALIPAC leaders in strengthening and presenting our cause by gathering opinions that are comprehensive to a specific topic. I encourage ALIPAC Members to post such requests for opinions in order to accumulate as many responses as possible or at least to share their viewpoints in regard to the question posed. Thank you.
The Question for this posting:
SHOULD CHURCHES THAT WILLFULLY SUPPORT THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION PROBLEM LOSE THEIR TAX EXEMPTION STATUS?
In several other postings, there are comments about how some churches have been aiding and abetting the cause of Illegal Immigration in various ways. I can understand the need for spiritual support and assistance, as well as the recognition of the spiritual brotherhood of mankind. But when a church or a specific religion begins to defy our laws by assisting those who have commited an illegal act, does that not constitute a breach in the separation of church and state; especially when our primary concern should be the protection of our borders and Homeland Security?
The Roman Catholic Church in particular has openly supported the Illegal Immigration activities. Of course they would, the Roman Catholic Church in Mexico gets most of its income from the money that is sent down there by Illegal Migrants. If the Roman Catholic Church, or any church for that matter, is taking such an active part in dictating political and government issues, shouldn't it lose its tax exemption status for intervening in affairs of state? It's the American tax payers that are footing the bill for the Illegals' activities, so shouldn't the Roman Catholic Church or any church that supports illegal activities pay its fair share of taxes, especially if it is going to be an advocate for the economic vampirism that is perpetrated by Illegal Migrants?
Personally, I think that if those churches were to lose their tax exemption status and be made to pay for the costs inflicted upon us by Illegal Migrants, just like any other American taxpayer, those churches would be singing a different tune!
What do you think about this?Remember that*all Politicians work for us, the U.S. Taxpaying Citizens.* If they are not doing their jobs to your liking, FIRE THEM in the next elections.

Yes. If they are lobbying or involving themselves in politics, they should loose their non-profit status. They should be in the business of saving souls and nothing more. Polictics are a destraction from God's work.

They most certainly should lose their tax exempt status if they are condoning law breaking.
Romans 13:1-7 states that WE all must obey the laws of the land. No where in the scriptures does it give churches the right to break the laws of the land."Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same results is the definition of insanity. " Albert Einstein.

I think churches that get involved in politics, period, should loose their status - certainly one who harbors criminals. It is one thing to help anyone in need, regardless, quite another to help them break the law.
It is one thing for church people to have a common goal and want to unite to vote with that in mind, it is something very different for a pastor to preach support for one or the other from the pulpit, to have literature or cards with voting grades, or to have polticians actually speak in churches.
Those things should be done outside of church - render under Caeser - and all that.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

The Pope issued an edict to the American Bishops not to act on becoming santuaries for illegals. But, some of the churches have just been ignoring the request.

Absolutely.... and I would go further as to have the clergy arrested for harboring and assisting a fugitive.
