I can't imagine what it would take to get it introduced/passed in NY.
I can't even go into a store anymore where people speak English!
I can't afford to buy school lunch for MY kids, but I have to buy it for theirs.
Honestly, I just want to be able to get a job. Everywhere requires you to speak Spanish. Isn't that discrimination?!Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver...

I sent an e-mail to Senator John Smith (D-LA) about a similar bill for Louisiana. He CALLED me personally. We had a nice chat about illegals. He told me that it was to late to introduce a new bill this year (??) but that it has been discussed and it looks like it will be introduced next year. So it loos as if Louisiana will jump on the band wagon.

2 priests -sympathy for illegal immigrants
We're from Ohio, and are practicig Catholics. We sympathize greatly with the illegal imigrants "that are suffering" However, our Grandfathers & Great-granfathers, also suffered on ELLIS ISLAND before they were allowed to enter this great country of ours. These ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS arrived here not LEGALLY, but ILLEGALLY - let them WAIT THEIR TURN, just as our relatives did. We realize the 2 priests are only trying - could they try with the poor in Appalacia?
