Catholic Church still has tax exempt status despite political activities

On Tuesday, the leadership of New Mexico’s Catholic Church issued a statement condemning Gov. Susana Martinez’ plans to repeal the law which currently allows foreign nationals, including illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses.
