VAIL VALLEY, Colorado— The Eagle County Sheriff's Office arrested five men on felony burglary and felony theft charges this week stemming from burglaries in December and January of more than $20,000 worth of electronics, tools and other items, the office said in a release Tuesday.

The Sheriff's Office investigated a burglary of a home on West Lake Creek Road in Edwards, reported on Dec. 11, in which approximately $7,000 worth of televisions, laptop computers, jewelry and power tools were stolen.

The Sheriff's Office also investigated a burglary of a house under construction on Bridger Court in Gypsum, reported Jan. 11, in which approximately $11,000 worth of paint sprayers and $3,300 worth of assorted power tools were stolen.

Physical evidence left at the crime scenes as well as tips from concerned citizens lead the Sheriff's Office to five Eagle County residents that were believed to have been involved in the burglaries, as well as concealing and selling the stolen items.

The suspects admitted their involvement in the burglaries during questioning and were arrested, the Sheriff's Office says.

Jose Adrian Carreon Favela, 22, of Edwards, is charged with felony burglary, felony theft, and violation of bond conditions. He is being held at the Eagle County Detention Facility on a $25,000 bond.

Javier Salasar Cabrera, 33, of Edwards, is charged with felony burglary and felony theft. He is being held at the Eagle County Detention Facility on a $7,500 bond and has an U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold for being in the United States illegally.

Jesus Willibaldo Sanchez Aguirre, 26, of Edwards, is charged with felony burglary, felony theft, and felony criminal Impersonation. He is being held at the Eagle County Detention Facility on a $7,500 bond and has an U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold for being in the United States illegally.

Pedro Gallegos Cordero, 26, of Edwards, is charged with felony burglary, felony theft and felony bond violation. He is being held at the Eagle County Detention Facility on a $12,500 bond and has an U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold for being in the United States illegally.

Fredrico Chavez Medrano, 23, of Edwards, is charged with felony burglary, felony theft, and felony accessory to crime. He is being held at the Eagle County Detention Facility on a $8,000 bond and has an U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold for being in the United States illegally.

The Sheriff's Office says it was able to recover and return to the victims some of the stolen property that was in the possession of the suspects, but some of the property had been sold prior to the arrest of the suspects.
