Illegals returning to their home country and going to the back of the line to apply to come here LEGALLY and waiting their turn isn't amnesty.

It is what ALIPAC has been saying they must do.

I have never heard of them before this thread...this is interesting, we know all of these people as being tough on illegal immigration.

USCIS is Grave Threat to U.S. National Security

ANCIR Hosts Panel of Immigration Experts

The American Council for Immigration Reform hosted a briefing on the security crisis posed by the USCIS that threatens our nation if amnesty and guest worker elements of Senate Immigration Reform Bill 1348 ever become law. [Although this bill failed, its individual elements will likely be raised again in other legislation.]

This charge was made and substantiated by four immigration experts at the National Press Club during a briefing hosted by ANCIR and moderated by the organization's legislative director, Bill Buchanan. All four experts are deeply familiar with the operations of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office, which is responsible for processing applications for legal permanent residency, citizenship, and evaluating supporting documents.

View or listen to the panelists here...

It is strange but I couldn't find anything on that website dated later than 2008.

    They're organized as a 501 C 4 like ALIPAC, W.

    From their website:

"ANCIR is a volunteer 501(c)(4) citizens organization. Our goals are to educate the public on the problems created by current U.S. immigration policies and to promote legislation to correct them. Donations to 501(c)4s are not deductible for tax purposes."

The leader at least for legislation a guy named William Buchanan from northern Virginia. I saw him interviewed on Lou Dobbs which is where I first heard of them a few years ago. Their website has an excerpt from that interview:

    "Resources 2007

"Bill Buchanan, Legislative Director, American Council for Immigration Reform CNN Lou Dobbs - video:
Virginia Divided Over Illegal Alien Criminals - Governor Still Thinks It's a Federal Problem

"Virginia is a state divided over how to battle illegal immigration and our broken borders. The Democratic governor and the Republican attorney general have opposing views over how to enforce laws regarding illegal aliens. The attorney general is taking a hard line, but the governor says immigration laws are a federal responsibility. But a new report finds that as many as one in 10 jail inmates in Virginia has questionable legal status and is believed to be an illegal alien. That works out to some 21,000 inmates commonly held for alcohol-related crimes like DUI. Taxpayers are footing the bill. Each one costs $23,000 a year, according to the Virginia State Crime Commission. But because immigration falls under federal jurisdiction, little has been done. Democratic Governor Tim Kaine opposes using state troopers as immigration officers. A spokesperson said state agencies, including the Department of Corrections and State Police, are already undermanned: "The governor doesn't want to expand their responsibility in a significant way at this time in an area everyone agrees is a federal responsibility." Immigration reform groups say states have to confront the mounting price of illegal immigration. William Buchanan, Legislative Director, American Council for Immigration Reform, noted: "The costs of illegal immigration are very substantial. You have hospital costs. You have schooling costs. If Mr. Kaine is worried about his budget, he ought to be thinking about the effects of illegal immigration on all of those areas." See the CNN Lou Dobbs video..."

To my knowledge, ALIPAC has never asked any member of Congress to pledge to allow illegal aliens to re-apply to re-enter our country legally. US immigration law will count that deportation as a violation of our laws which will cause their application to be rejected, won't it? I always thought so. It would illogical to give illegal aliens a visa knowing full well they won't abide its terms or expiration date. Please don't tell me our Department of Homeland Stupidity is giving visas to illegal aliens we just paid to deport for violating our immigration laws?!!

I didn't say one word about the pledge.

Right now a Mexican at the end of the line waits 12 to 18 years to come here legally with a green card, depending on who sponsors them, family relations, etc.

If millions of them returned home they would all be at the end of that line and they would be waiting a very long time. Each country has a limit as to how many people can legally enter each year. And the line is a different length in each country because of that.

You seem to always take people words and try to make them say something other than what they actually said.
