Thanks, guys, for the clarification, which absolutely made no sense to me from the WashPost article quoted. A million dollars per-pupil subsidies to be lost, even per annum, would mean the loss of 274 students, the district would lost $274 million. Perhaps I am just not very good at government math, or have suddenly gone totally stupid in reading that article (out of stress from illegal alien problems) as there was not much explanation of what happens in "new government math."

Fuzzy math will do it to us poor taxpayers, now getting ready for another bailout, too. I bet!
