The Rev. Miguel Rivera, president of the National Coalition of Latino Clergy and Christian Leaders, said that a decision to prevent the law from taking effect would help bring calm to the Latino community. Rivera also pledged to fight the law to the U.S. Supreme Court if he had to.
Shouldn't the church be spending it's money saving souls and not hiring lawyers and meddling in government matters?

I really wish the IRS would start handing out punishment to these non-profits that are trying to effect policy and lobbying.

Give them a month and I would LOVE to hear how much they are saving in the school system....how many have dropped off the welfare rolls...and also the food stamps rolls...and whatever kind of other social giveouts there are....
That will prove to be interesting and an incentive for other states to follow their lead....Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about bringing some CALM to the legal Americans.
    Illegals go home.

``I know 25,000 or more of my Latino people have been afraid and they have left this state,'' Rivera said.
Hispanic activist Victor Orta said, ``Our families have been receiving eviction notices that, beginning tonight, if they cannot prove their status here, they will be evicted.''

There is a good reason why liberal U.S. Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg (74) and John Paul Stevens (87) are clinging to their seats by their fingernails.

Pres. Bush has consistently nominated strict-Constitutionalist (originalist) judges who are top-rated by the liberal American Bar Assn..

Getting these good judges confirmed by the Senate has been less than consistent.

The confirmation of Judge Leslie Southwick to the U.S. Appeals Court of New Orleans was almost a miracle. His confirmation hinged upon "yea" votes from Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and eight other Democrats: Daniel Akaka (D-HI), Robert Byrd (D-WV), Kent Conrad (D-ND), Byron Dorgan (D-ND), Tim Johnson (D-SD), Blanche Lincoln (D-AR), Mark Pryor (D-AR), and Ben Nelson (D-NE). Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) also voted yes.

Unless we enforce laws against illegal aliens today,
tomorrow WE may wake up as illegals.

The last word: illegal aliens are ILLEGAL!
