Dixie explained this well, but I wanted to add: he could have been born in Kenya and then hs mother may have obtained a US birth certificate that may state that he was born in Kenya. He would still be a US citizen even though his mother gave birth in another country IF certain criteria are met: She would have had to live in the US for 14 years, 5 of which must be over the age of 16. She was only 18 when she had him so he would not be a 'natural born' citizen. He would not be eligible to serve as president.

I know this sounds like crazy conspiracy theories but it's because he is clearly hiding something.

There is a difference between a Certification of Live Birth and a Certificate of Live Birth. The Certificate is the long form. It shows where you were born. The Certification only says he was born in Honolulu. That isn't a legal address. The Certificate would show in what hospital he was born in or if he was born at home the address of that home. Federal and State laws require a candidate for the office of President to file legal forms and other documents and prove where he or she was born. Obama hasn't done that because his Certification doesn't contain a legal address. This isn't nitpicking and Obama did the same thing when he ran in at least one of his early campaigns. He got his opposition removed from the ballot because of technicalities about residency.

I know some Americans born outside of the country and they have birth records from the country they were born in. One of my friends mother's came back from the middle east(father was stationed there), before she was born because she didn't want to deal with the international birth record mess and her mother was a legal immigrant so that was an ounce of prevention.

As I have said before, something is rotten in Denmark. The American people have a RIGHT to know if BO can legally be elected to office of Pres. This BS about his Birth Certificate being private is just that..BS. For crying out loud, this man may potentially be our next leader. We have every right to know everything about him...including where he was born.

The fact that disclosure of his real birth certificate is being withheld from the public is an admission that something about it will ruin his chances of becoming President.

Conveniently, his maternal grandmother died today in Hawaii, so there's no way she can be questioned. There's too much crap about this going on. If he had NOTHING to hide, he'd disclose it..plain and simple. The guy is a scum bag as well as the people he chooses to keep company with. Do we really want someone like this who is dishonest at the get go as the next president of the USA?
