Re: LDS Church takes public stance on immigration legislatio

I am LDS and the idiocy of our political "leaders" as well as any LDS person who supports amnesty in any way, just pisses me off!
It has taken nearly a year and thousands of dollars to get my wife here legally, so why didn't i just let her be here illegally, so I could have saved lots of time apart and money?
We chose to be legal. that is our way, so I don't believe anything said about the church until the First Presidency says it. Then I will figure out what to do.

As a worldwide church dealing with many complex issues across the globe, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints promotes broad, foundational principles that have worldwide application. The Church regards the declaration of the Utah Compact as a responsible approach to the urgent challenge of immigration reform. It is consistent with important principles for which we stand:

Why would any church of Christian people become involved with undocumented aliens when they know those people are committing all types of fraud and criminal crimes in every State in the U.S.? If anything the Church should encourage illegal immigrants to go back to their homelands and apply to become legal citizens, instead of residing in this Country illegally.
