In our Country, so much money has been poured down the drain, for so many years, but when it comes to Border Security and the Military, the Democrats fight to the death. We won on the Military, which is being completely rebuilt. One way or the other, we will win on the Wall!

Mexico is paying (indirectly) for the Wall through the new USMCA, the replacement for NAFTA! Far more money coming to the U.S. Because of the tremendous dangers at the Border, including large scale criminal and drug inflow, the United States Military will build the Wall!

There was never any reason for the government shutdown.

Yada-yada-yada, blah-blah-blah. Trump says a lot of things. However, none of it can be taken to the bank! I'm still waiting for him to sign his executive order to end birthright citizenship. What's the hold up on that? Sign it and a liberal court will immediately override the order. Once that's done, it can be appealed all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court! He has also told us catch & release had ended. Yep, sure it has.

For good reason some of us have learned to take everything Trump says with a grain of salt. Believe it when it actually happens and not before!

President Donald Trump said Friday that he is considering using emergency powers which would allow him to use military funding to build a wall on the US-Mexico border, saying "I can do it if I want."

"We can call a national emergency because of the security ... I haven't done it. I may do it but we can call a national emergency and build it very quickly," he said during remarks in the White House Rose Garden.

Trump has repeatedly talked about declaring a national emergency in recent months but hasn't followed through yet, allowing the government to shut down over funding the wall rather than declaring one.

On Friday, he seemed to indicate that he would prefer to secure the funding through Congress.
"If we can do it through the negotiating process, we're giving that a shot," he said.

"Absolutely," Trump replied. "We can call a national emergency. I haven't done it. I may do it. I may do it. We can call a national emergency and build it very quickly. It's another way of doing it."

Asked if that was a threat to Democrats, Trump said: "I never threaten anybody, but I am allowed to do it -- call a national emergency."

He was asked the question specifically about a national emergency, "today". He can use the military to build the wall without a national emergency, he can use the military to build the wall to counter illegal drug operations.

You're missing the point----there is a huge difference in,

He would---he is---he did

and

I am considering
I may do it
We can call an emergency
I haven't done it yet
I am allowed to do it

He doesn't need the national emergency component for most of the wall. Most of the wall locations are dope trails, high traffic drug smuggling operations corridors also used for human smuggling.

Yep, that's what he says. However, most of us won't believe it until we see it.

Trump didn't say it. It was the Pentagon who said it a month or so ago. They said that under Title X law, they could build the walls/barriers to deal with a national emergency or to counter illegal drug operations.
