The fact is the police were called because of the perceived message on their T-Shirts by the security company because the convention organizers asked the police be brought in.

The fact is the police knew when they got there why they had been called which was to remove the people with the T-Shirts.

The fact is there is no "dress code" in Philadelphia and no "law" against what you wear on your T-Shirts on public property.

You are not required to give the police your name unless they have a probable cause to ask it. You are not required to answer any question any police officer asks you. In fact, we have a 5th Amendment that protects many rights including the exercise of your 1st Amendment rights.

The police need to go chase down some pedophiles, child abusers, wife abusers, drug runners, drug traffickers, murderers, robbers, terrorists, illegal aliens....you know criminals violating US Law....and leave law-abiding American Citizens alone.

This incident is actually a HUGE INCIDENT considering how smooth and slick the police action was to remove these American Citizens from a public property, at a public event, where they were doing nothing in violation of any law.

It's mind-boggling actually.

Our Declaration of Independence was SIGNED in this City of Philadelphia. They have our Liberty Bell. George Washington and all the founders drank beer in the City Tavern of Philadelphia where they crafted our US Constitution, a place that still exists to this day....

These police officers disgraced themselves; proved they have lost their way; and are now part of the problem rather than part of the solution.



That makes Baldwin Park, Denver and now Philadephia where the rights of American Citizens have been usurped by local police officers.

That's coast to coast in my book.

Hi Mamie....no, not an attorney, just a well-informed American Citizen who had the great advantage of an outstanding public education system in the Show Me State of Missouri where classes were taught in ONE LANGUAGE; where no one feared for their LIFE; where the teachers, the administrators, and everyone involved with Education were Patriotic American Citizens who both loved and understood our Country. In college, the same was true with rare exception and the exceptions were invited students and faculty that were there to learn or teach and did not have a political agenda to end the United States. Such people would have not lasted long otherwise.

I think we would do well to return to that type of Educational System Nationwide. Failure to do so and do so quickly is denying our children their constitutional right to a free American education leavng them without the tools they will need to sustain themselves and our Nation.

Police remove us from conference.

During our protest outside of the La Raza conference in Philadelphia we received an invitation to come into the conference by La Raza to see all the good things they do. We continued to protest until the scheduled time. Later in the day we decided to go into the conference center (not too the area where La Raza was having speakers and workshops). We went into the corporate exhibit area to see the exhibits. This event was open to the public in a public building.

We were immediately surrounded by police and security. We were told to give our names, phone numbers and show ID's. La Raza officials told us to leave immediately and we were escorted out by police and a crowd of happy La Raza staff members. They made a big show out of it and tried to embarrass us. We weren't talking to anyone or bothering anyone. The protest was long over. We were told that we were offensive to the participants. They didn't seem to care anything about our freedom of speech to protest earlier. Nor did they care that our tax dollars fund the public building. They only wanted us out and out now. They said they "can't have people who were protesting earlier, come into the building to offend people sensitive to illegal immigration". What country are we living in?

How dare they trample on our rights because they don't want us to hurt the feelings of the many illegals that were present there. I personally talked to some conference participants outside the building who said they were not citizens and they didn't have any green cards or other documentation. We pay taxes to support illegals who are breaking the law, yet we are the ones who get our rights trampled on.

Arrest those illegals in attendance? Why did they run you out of the conference? Very simple, political correctness and brown racism. For this to happen there, in Philadelphia, one of this countries cornerstones of democracy tells more of a story then a simple protest. It clearly shows Americans, citizens, are loosing their liberty. Wasn't it there that those famous words spoken, "I know not what course you may take, but as for me Give me Liberty or give me death"

Good questions. If the police have time to issue parking citations, speeding tickets, and other "violation" status summons, then they have time to arrest misdemeanor and felony offenders.

I do not understand the Zapping going on here about who is or isn't an Athiest. And the validity of their post based on their spirituality or lack thereof.

Dalgast speaks his mind, in a straight forward manner. And makes some pretty good points sometimes more colorful than others.

His particular post concerning where the brown tide held their little meeting speaks volumes, that our government doesn't have the guts to fight this virus of scum invading our country.

It has got to be difficult for one living in the Northeast to understand what we are facing everytime we take a step out of our homes.

To see the brown flood take a nice community and turn it into something that represents the third world villages where they come from. Is truly a sad sight.

To see people who do not deserve or do one thing to earn anything receive hand out after hand out is maddening.

My point there is something sinister at play here, where the fingers get pointed is subject to the letter of established laws.

My husband is down on the border watching first hand what is going on on both sides, watching the Border Patrol and watching the Mexican military.

It is kind of ironic, mexicans are dying in the desert and he thinks he is on vacation living out there and having a good time.

He has been out there over 3 weeks, and people are dropping within hours of starting their illegal trek into this country.

I have been flying supplies to him but that is usually only bullets, batteries, and some odds and ends for food. Yes there has been a need to use the gun.

So Item this is a little more than a spiritual issue, we need more Dalgast's. We need more Frenchsuks actually doing something about the problems. We need more people calling this invasion for what it actually is, a threat to that which we hold dearest - our freedom and our way of life.

I tried to turn in early tonight around 2 am, but couldn't sleep. I'm so glad, too, because this post by Brian503 just "Made My Day". I laughed so hard my eyes watered.
