Illegals are Leaving the Area

Folks at local Spanish language newspaper Que Pasa are calling it the exodus.

Executive Editor Alejandro Manrique says his reporters see signs of it all over Charlotte...Just this week they printed a feature on Hispanic taxi drivers who are seeing customers disappear.

They say they lose around 50 percent of their customer base.

He says Hispanic restaurants, night clubs, markets, you name it...are reporting drops in customers.

From May '07 to June '08, the Center for Immigration Studies estimates 1.3 million illegal immigrants left the U.S...an estimated 102 thousand of those left North Carolina...Manrique estimates 40 thousand of those left Charlotte.

But why?

Increasing people having lost their jobs, or getting paid less.

The economy is one reason there's less construction and service jobs out there. But that's not the only reason..

If they've committed a crime in our community they're out of here.The 287g program started by former sheriff Jim Pendergraph is part of the reason too. Under it illegal immigrants who are arrested are marked for deportation. It's spread throughout the state.

Also, Manrique says thanks to recent law changes it's now next to impossible for illegals to get licenses or license plates. North Carolina was once a haven where immigrants up and down the east coast came to fraudulently get licenses.

Add all that up and it equals a mass exodus.

This is great for North Carolina People, the citizens. But just think a second about the NC Citizens lives these immigrants have ruined.

All elected official from the highest to the lowest need to be fired.

Is our NC government going to reduce the taxes this year by 50% equal to the number of percentage of immigrants that was damaging NC Citizens ILLEGALLY?

Governments: Local and State you owe the Citizens of North Carolina relief for the burden you have permitted due to immigrant overflow into NC.

LEGAL immigrants: welcome to America and NC, if that's where you choose to reside. We love and support you in your determination to enter our country the right and legal way. ILLEGAL immigrants: you have made a willful criminal decision to violate our immigration laws and violate many other of our laws by remaining and operating here. You deserve no support, benefits or compassion form the American people. Either you return to your native country and, if you wish to come back to the U.S., start the legal immigration process from your native land. If you decide to remain here illegally, be prepared for the heat to increase and the long arm of the law to catch up with you. Either get straight with our laws, which means departing of your own volition or be prepared for the consequences.

The 550,000 Visas next week that Congress is pushing through is legal so I guess I will quit pushing for CONTROL of legal immigration.

In recent years it took all day to take care of business at the DMV due to the immigrants flow into the country/state of North Carolina. I think California DMV was better than North Carolina's and I have used LA's and NC's.

Until 9/11/2001 North Carolina elected officials did not care about the North Carolina Citizens and what the massive immigrant influx was doing to us. I do not trust the welfare of my state to the elected officials. I have been many times told that "we are a capitalist state and we cannot help who businesses hire". The state still does not care who businesses are hiring. If we could vote down the sales tax the government would start CARING ABOUT THE NORTH CAROLINA CITIZENS WORKING!

Illegal aliens create their own consumer demand. As the illegals go, so will the businesses that have built their base dependent on the product and service demands of illegals. In this situation the phrase domino effect comes to mind.

Add all that up and it equals a mass exodus.

Lets hope this trend continues allllllll the way to the West Coast!

Very good news. Attrition through enforcement. Enforce the laws on the books and law and order return to a community.
