We just have to ride the storm out! Americans who a year ago wouldn't utter the words "illegal immigrants" are saying something has to done! The last time the world seen Americans all stand together was 9/11. The terrorist attack on our country now is from our own government! Denial only last so long! We are the intervention!

What about the AMERICAN DREAM...to have secure borders, a land free of invaders, a land where we are safe even in the cities, a land where LEGAL AMERICANS can work and not have their jobs shipped overseas or taken by someone who is here illegaly, a country where our kids can find room in schools and colleges and not have their space reserved and given to a kid whose parents are here illegally, a country where we speak ENGLISH and not have to go through a push button menue where you have to choose between ENGLISH and spanish. Thats the real DREAM. Its not giving free education to illegals who should be deported. We the AMERICAN public want our country back.

This is the same thing Bush did. He went around kissing their butts for a while, then he started twisting arms on members of Congress to pass immigration reform. He's only doing this to get re-elected. He's going to need them because support for that idiot is dropping off, even by his own party. And it ain't looking good for him that Donald Trump is stirring up trouble about his birth certificate because more and nore people are beginning to question his legitimacy. Just putting the doubt in some people's minds will be enough to make them rethink their vote in 2012, even Democrats. Nobody wants to take a chance on looking like a fool for voting for someone who may not even be a citizen. But unlike Bush, Obama can't pander to the people who got Bush elected, and that was the evangelicals. Obama has also pissed off too many special interest groups by not coming through on his campaign promises. So Obama needs to scrape up votes wherever he can get them. Looks like he's left with the unions and the Latinos.

President Obama said Monday that he does not have the power to suspend deportations, putting the nail in a plan some administration officials had explored that could have granted de-facto legal status to hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants.

A number of immigrant-rights advocates have called on the president to use executive authority to stop deportations, and memos surfaced last year showing that Homeland Security lawyers had looked into the legal implications. But Mr. Obama, in a town hall hosted by the Spanish-language Univision broadcast network, said that’s not an option.

“There are enough laws on the books by Congress that are very clear in terms of how we have to enforce our immigration system that for me to simply, through executive order, ignore those congressional mandates would not conform with my appropriate role as president,â€

Yes, indeed he did say that the focus was shifted (by him) on deportation of "criminals". Odd that didn't send a shudder down the spine of many there, who are by virtue of their illegal presence "criminals". Odder still is that the President reserves the right to himself to determine the definition of crime, and the severity of it's impact.

Shall we now call him Supreme Commander?
