RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA – A majority of residents who have responded to a city survey support the City Council adopting a resolution in support of Arizona's new immigration law, according to results as of Monday morning.

Council members earlier this month agreed unanimously to support the anti-illegal immigration law. Before voting on a resolution, however, the council said it wanted to hear from residents. A survey was set up through the city's website.

Check out all of the responses so far by clicking on the Data tab.

The next City Council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. in council chambers at 22112 El Paseo. Those who want to speak at the meeting will be allowed three minutes during the "public comments" portion after filling out a speaker request form.

The survey will be available online until 5 p.m. July 13.
