Monday on CNN’s “The Lead,” House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) was asked by host Jake Tapper to react to remarks from Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump that he is weak on immigration and on securing the border in addition to being for amnesty.

Although Ryan declined to respond directly to Trump, he insisted he was not any of Trump’s claims on immigration.

“Look, I’m not taking the bait,” Ryan said. “I’m not going to get into the commenting about this and that. I would be able to work with whoever our Republican nominee is on immigration reform, something that clearly needs to be happening. People who know my record know that I’m for border enforcement, border control, not for amnesty. And I will work with whoever our nominee is to make sure that that person wins and then to make sure we run on a platform so that we have a mandate election, so that in 2017, we do what we need to do to get this country back on track to solve this country’s big problems that are getting worse by the day.”

Hypocrite Paul Ryan is Okay With Erecting a Border Fence… Just NOT on the U.S. Border…

Written By: Greg Campbell December 18, 2015

A mark of a good leader can be seen in his ability to lead by example. A man who advocates the same rules for himself as he does for his subordinates is often a good and just leader.
Inversely, a “leader” who advocates for one set of rules for himself and another for others can be aptly described as a poor leader and a hypocrite. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is such a “leader.”

The current speaker is a friend to illegals as he supports open borders and amnesty. His track record indicates a deep sincerity in his support for rewarding criminality with open borders and amnesty. The current speaker once stumped with fellow amnesty crusader Democrat Rep. Luis Gutierrez for the Marco Rubio-sponsored “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill and pushed for an open border policy.

“America is more than just a country,” Ryan said. “It’s more than Chicago, or Wisconsin. It’s more than our borders. America is an idea. It’s a very precious idea.”

    Ryan also said,

“We want to have a system where people can come here and work– go back and forth if they want to… so that we have an open door to the people who want to come and contribute to our country, who want to come and make a difference in their families’ lives, and our economy.”
Nearly a decade ago, Congress approved the building of a 700-mile wall between the U.S. and Mexico. Today, the fence has yet to be completed or even close to it.
Ryan’s omnibus spending package is a $1.1 trillion behemoth that is 2,000 pages long but, curiously, does not provide any funding for the completion of the border fence that has lingered for nearly a decade.
But don’t think that Paul Ryan is just “anti-fence”; no, he is far from it, in fact.
For his own personal security, Ryan has installed around his property a high fence with thick shrubbery for both security and privacy.
It would seem that Speaker Ryan values the safety of his family and does not want unwelcomed intruders to come and jeopardize his family’s safety or to wreak havoc upon his home…
Ryan’s omnibus package allocates sizeable sums for foreign nationals and the promotion of illegal immigration. It includes money for relocation of Syrian refugees at a time when the U.S. is under attack by ISIS and it provides taxpayer-funded grants for sanctuary cities that refuse to enforce the rule of law by harboring illegals, but the omnibus is conspicuously lacking any funding for the double-layer border fence that was promised years ago.
Alabama Republican Senator Jeff Sessions has blasted such hypocrites in recent years who advocate for open border while ensuring their own safety with borders. When Facebook founder and amnesty enthusiast Mark Zuckerberg spent $30 million purchasing surrounding homes to ensure he had a little more privacy, Sessions opined,
“Well, the ‘masters of the universe’ are very fond of open borders as long as these open borders don’t extend to their gated compounds and fenced-off estates.”
To be absolutely clear, a fence is a terrific idea for helping to deter intruders. People who have security concerns and who do not want to have their safety jeopardized should absolutely make the necessary preparations to keep their family safe.
However, it is nothing short of infuriating hypocrisy to advocate against border security for hundreds-of-millions of Americans while selfishly erecting a border fence around one’s home.

America is not an "idea". Only fools would make such an outlandishly juvenile and esoteric claim about our land, our territory, our people, our sacrifices, our achievements, our turmoil, struggles, work, intellect and ability to create a nation, build it and maintain it. The first 2 abilities to create a nation and build it are complete, but the last one "maintain it", is in high jeopardy with our beautiful nation having been sold out and for at least 40 years by massive immigration and bad trade deals and over a century of socialist Marxist mandated income taxes.

Ryan has to go. Wisconsin, please do what you can to remove Paul Ryan from the US Congress this year and replace him with someone who knows the difference between an "idea" and the greatest free nation in the history of the world. We can't withstand another year of stupid politicians in either party, let alone the Republican Party.
