GOP/Dem Border Deal: $1.3B for Wall, No Increase in Detention Space

Actually it sounds like there will be a reduction in detention space, which means catch & release will expand, not shrink. Trump promised us he was going to end "catch & release" but there is no end in sight to the atrocious policy that keeps releasing illegals at the border into our interior and jailed illegals back into our streets. Catch & release must end!

After reading an article on another thread, it looks like the reduction of detention space will come from interior enforcement. The Democrats want Trump's policy's to run more inline with Obama's policy that called for more focused enforcement, which means ignore all illegals that don't have a criminal record.

This is B.S. because all illegals that ICE come into contact with in the performance of their duties, to include business raids, need to be apprehended and held in detention until they can be deported! The Republicans are bowing to the Democrats who want a hands off approach on all illegals currently residing illegally in our interior unless they have committed a serious crime outside of illegal entry.
