At that link, someone also posted some of MSU's policies. You might take a look at it if you're interested.

The Law College does not endorse any particular political perspective; it is committed to providing a venue for the free exchange of ideas.
I'm not exact here, HOT but I believe it might have been IAMBLUEMAN who posted something about the 'president' of U having bashed this event on her blog.

You might want to double check as you could twist her panties in a bunch with those quotes, if I'm remembering correctly.

Members of the Law College administration, the law student sponsors, and the MSU Department of Police and Public Safety worked together to ensure that the Congressman was treated with respect and that adequate security was provided
did a bang up job on that respect and security thing.
Do they also allow PHYSICAL VIOLENCE? Were the students arrested?
Did the U give the students appropriate punishment, ie: SUSPENSION, withdrawing aid/U scholarships, etc.

    Something else I should note...

I know a lot of guys up at MSU. When the MSU chapter of Young Americans for Freedom said they were going to host a "catch an illegal immigrant" event, MSU's president went crazy and attacked the whole thing on her blog. The sad thing it it doesn't look like she's going to do anything about the leftists who recently slashed tires, assaulted students, pulled fire alarms, and pushed a pregnant woman to the ground...not to mention embarrassed the school and mistreated a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Here's what MSU's President said in September about the "Catch an Illegal" Event:
(again, she attacks this but is quiet about the recent mess)

    President Lou Anna K. Simon

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the on going disruption of the right of speech under our constitution by people who disagree with open borders and the illegal alien influx and crime into our country. Unjustifiably some colleges seem to be lacking proper security for speakers invited to appear like Congressman Tom Tancredo.

Office of the President - Michigan State University
    http://president.msu.edu/desk/index.php ... _gimmicks/

    From the President's Desk
    Thursday, September 21, 2006
" Immigration: Too important an issue for gimmicks"

"Part of our responsibility as a university is to address this issue in a balanced and scholarly way-without resort to offensive gimmicks as a means of drawing attention to the topic. Adherence to our core values shapes who we are as a community. Actions and events that are contrary to those values diminish us
In my view, the tactics being suggested are demeaning to individuals and to the values of Michigan State University."

I see you have dedicated two pages to a statement in Thursday's State News to" Catch an Illegal Immigrant Day,"

Which on THE STATE NEWS Friday September 29, 2006 says it was cancelled

"In four short paragraphs, Simon explains her perspective saying, "I consider the tactics of 'Catch an Illegal Immigrant Day' a way to mock and demean, not to educate; a way to exclude, not include, voices. And inclusion is one of MSU's core values."
MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon and some campus organizations condemned the event
Members of the Residence Halls Association, passed a bill to publicly express their disagreement with the game and began planning ways to protest the event during Wednesday's meeting.
Although "Catch an Illegal Immigrant Day" doesn't have a specific date, President Lou Anna K. Simon didn't wait to address the issue."
Vaness a Notman, State News opinion writer

As was said you didn't wait to address the issue of speech of tactics about a game that didn't have a specific date
But I don't see the same condemnation for the violence that happened.

What Is That You Consider The Tactics of Physical Violence?
Pushing a pregnant woman to the ground
    The assaulting of students
    Spitting, kicking and punching students
What do you consider the tactics of Property Damage?
    Slashed tires, keying cars
What about the tactics of endangering lives?
Pulling fire alarms, rioting, fighting and attacking people
What about the Disrespect and mistreatment of A Member Of The U.S. House of
    Representatives?
Your college and your students have violated Mr. Tancredo's civil rights, constitution rights and his right to personal safety
What about the embarrassment to the school?
This College is one of many where the student's future will be in the field of law, and they obviously aren't learning the fact that this is a free country, with the freedom of speech or think only they have that right.

A Summary of MSU Policies and Regulations
These students have violated all your policies and regulations besides broken many laws.
Have you or Members of the Residence Halls Association, passed a bill to publicly express Disagreement with this horrendous behavior of violations of free speech, physical attacks, property damage, violations of safety and endangering lives and the reputation and repute of MSU AND ALL IT'S OTHER STUDENTS?

    Dissent_vs_Disruption
Upholding the right to free speech
"A number of people have expressed concern over the past few days regarding attempts to disrupt a forum that took place last Thursday evening at the MSU College of Law."
There were no attempts…it happened,it was planned and carried out.

This doesn't exactly condemn nor does it address this incident for the seriousness of what happened, doesn't educate nor I hope does it fit into MSU's core values."

It appears every rule and regulation was violated by those students

I'd like to know are they going to learn that their behaviour in this matter is exceptable or unexceptable? Are they going to be arrested? Will they get appropriate punishment, i.e.: suspension, withdrawing aid and scholarships?

    Let me further note:
Young Americans for Freedom have every right to express their opinions and disagreement with the illegal alien debate without Vaness a Notman, State News opinion writer or any race based groups making disparaging remarks about them. Most Americans agree it's a overwhelming problem, it's against the law, a drain on all social services and schools, we have the right to voice our opinion and when it's voiced your physically attacked or called a bigot or racist.
I would like to ask how it is racist to enforce our laws. Is it then racist to apprehend a bank robber or drug dealer?

Why isn't the blame where it belongs? Not on Americans who foot the bill or choose to speak out, but on Mexico's President Fox (where 60% of illegal aliens come from) who runs a corrupt government that has 50% of it's citizens in poverty, while it's the richest country in Central America.

    DID I FORGET ANYTHING????
