The crew of the Dutch ship found themselves in danger after the immigrants they rescued staged a rebellion. Attempting to take over the ship, they pulled out knives. The Dutch managed to deal with them. "We are proud of our heroes," say the ship's owners.

On Monday evening, while en route to one of the Canary Islands, Dutch sailors in the Atlantic waters stumbled upon a boat with dozens of migrants. An emergency situation developed and the crew of the Vos Pace intervened to save their lives - reported the Spanish news agency EFE, citing police sources.

The rescue operation took place in the area of operation of the Moroccan Maritime Rescue Service. The ship's captain informed the coordinating center in the capital of Morocco about the situation - he received an order to transport the rescued migrants to the port of Tan-Tan.

On the way, the Dutch encountered a second wooden boat with migrants. They also took them on board. In total, as reported by the Dutch public broadcaster NOS, the crew of the Vos Pace rescued 79 immigrants from Africa.
