During Saturday's community meeting, Hispanic leaders say a 17-year- old girl broke down crying, describing how her mother and father had been deported, leaving her, a U.S. citizen, behind.

She should have been deported along with her parents. The illegal aliens keep using the excuse that immigration laws are breaking up families. They are free to go home TOGETHER. Having babies here is not a ticket for citizenship. Anchor babies are NOT American citizens.

These children have only their ILLEGAL parents to blame. The ILLEGAL parents knew what they were doing; Abuse of the 14th Amendment to create an Anchor Baby and more ILLEGALS for U.S. Citizens to furnish benefits! The Elitist Politicians and their Elitist Contributors are socializing benefits to the ILLEGALS for the ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS, veiled as welfare for U. S. Citizens, on the backs of U.S. Citizens through our assets such as the Education System, Social Security, and Health Care not to mention our National Security while privatizing the profits for themselves!

The only reason the ILLEGALS have the Anchors is to stay in the United States to receive the benefits, their Anchors are nothing more than throwaways for their agenda; if they were important to the parents they would take their children with them when they returned to their HOME countries . They do not want to be Citizens of the United States only to the extent that it would allow the ILLEGALS to remain in the United States for our tax money and they will return south of the border as soon as they have drained the United States Dry.

This is why we need to stop the practice that just because you were born here you are a citizen of the United States...that is the problem! If she hadn't have been the family would not of been split up-! period...STOP ALLOWING ANCHOR BABIES AND REWARDING PEOPLE FOR UNLAWFULLY ENTER THIS COUNTRY!

I am wondering who is providing room and board for these anchor babies that are minors left behind when parents are deported. Neighbors, relatives? Or are the kids just left to fend for themselves?

It's the same old story. They come up with a sob story and expect to be bailed out. There are people in foreign countries right now manifesting papers for immigrants stating they they are be religiously persecuted. They know all the buzz words that will get them in. The fact that people illegally enter and then expect not only to be allowed to stay but that we support them financially is ludicrous.

I think we should start our own book of sob stories. We have a ton of them. All we have to do is go into a shelter in Oakland, California. Or New York, Memphis, St. Louis, San Francisco. We have poor people all over the place we can educate and heal. Why do we spend our time and money on illegals.

Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus are travelling to 23 cities across the country to hold these family unity events.

This is what we need to call our efforts to end the anchor baby scam, "Family Unity". As part of this family unity, existing anchor babies under age 18 should either have their US citizenship revoked, or removed from their parents custody and put up for adoption. That would resolve the "details of people already here".
