Meat products producer Tyson Foods, Inc. announced Monday morning that profit for the fourth quarter increased from last year on higher margins and 9.5% sales growth, helped by strong operating results for pork and beef segments. This was partially offset by poor performance at chicken and prepared-foods segments. However, adjusted earnings per share from continuing operations rose, but missed analysts' expectations by four cents.

I think that explains it. My understanding of the government's policy with regard to use of e-verify, i.e., what employers need to do to avoid prosecution, is that it is only mandatory for new employees.
