LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - The migrant caravan that stayed in Oaxaca for one week is still on the road to the Rio Grande.

On Thursday morning the members of the caravan gathered their things and got on a charter bus and made their way into Mexico City.

These hundreds of Hondurans are hoping to make it to the U.S. for a better life.

In March more than 1,000 migrants were part of the caravan; however, numbers have decreased since then.

Approximately 100 kids are part of the caravan as well.

On Thursday morning President Trump sent out a tweet acknowledging that the Mexican Immigration Department had broken up the caravan before it caused a giant scene at our border.

The Mexican Government responded that this dissolvement was not the product of a tweet.

Mexico offered the immigrants three options, a humanitarian visa, a transit visa or an asylum application.

However, these immigrants have said nothing will stop them from pursuing their American Dream.
