My daughter and son-in-law are scraping by, and were denied because his income it "too much" at $10.00 hourly for three people...We do not have much more in income, but we wind up helping them out constantly, I won't see my grandson and pregnant daughter go hungry let alone my son-in-law, and we still have two teenage kids to feed of our own. I did get after her for the agreement she signed for my grandsons taekwondo lessons. As nice an idea as it was, they have another six moths, and it is hurting them, as well as having to downgrade their cell phone plan to the most minimal. All the while, she said she went in for an appointment at a state office seeing these women who could not speak English, wearing all gold, new clothes, expensive purses, driving huge SUVs with the max cell phone.

It was only after one of the officers got fed up and told them it was an ICE agents picnic that they took off.

    Oh that is so great!!!!

swatchick, my son has a little candy shop he fxed up in the front of our garage. Some of the kids keep coming over wanting him to give them free candy and sodas, even one of the mothers sent over the kids to ask for a soda and she would pay him the next day (oh yeah like we believe she would have come over to pay), he asked the kids if their family would go to the local mini mart and ask for free stuff, they answered no and he said "there you go, so don't ask me". Then when we are gone, these kids come over and try to pry open our garage door...the one good neighbor we have has told us so, they have seen it.
:P WOULDN'T YOU JUST KNOW IT, THEY ARE NOW DOING WHAT THEY SAW MOMMY AND DADDY DOING WHEN THEY BROKE INTO THIS COUNTRY. WELL, AS THE SAYING GOES, CHILDREN LIVE WHAT THEY LEARN SO TRUE.

Lady St. Claire, they do learn from their parents. This mother came over one day to buy a soda and she tried to steal three candies, which my 12 year old daughter caught her on. Both of my kids know better with these people, they will call them on the floor for this boloney.

Speaking of, lastnight (have to share this one) my 12 year old (she'll be 13 soon) was talking to some other girls here and one talked about having a party, and that she should come (just a teeny bopper type party). Another girl chimed in and said to the party planner "you should only have your kind there, no white people, just Latino people". My daughter turned to her and said "that is a completely racist thing to say, are you a racist?".

Then the other two girls walked away from the commenter and turned to say "that was really racist and rude". My daughter walked away home, came in all worked up and breathless. But wow, she has gotten her voice (and her mothers attitude).

AmericanElizabeth, love it that your kids are catching on to this garbage early on. Our schools have become so PC and are teaching our kids to be future wards of the state. I remember when we competed in sports, the winner received a trophy and the others received ribbons. Nowadays, EVERYONE gets the trophy and these poor kids are taught that mediocrity is good. We no longer cultivate winners and teach our kids that they have to strive and work hard to be the best. Sorry for the rant but this is one of my pet peeves with our current educational system.

When anyone in our neighborhood has a rummage sale, they need to have at least two friends help them guard the goods. We've seen Hispanics give items to their children and tell them to go back and sit in their car. We see mothers putting clothing on their children and themselves and then walking away. We set up in the garage so we can watch the exit. And for heavens sake, watch the cash box. Usually we have an apron with deep pockets so the cash stays with the person.

I am fed up with seeing them walk through the gorcery store open bags of snack food or cookies, sodas, juice, etc. consume some or all of it and leave the empty or partly empty bag or bottle in some aisle. When I see this I notify a manager immediately. Why should we have to pay higher grocery prices so they and thier kids can stuff their faces for free at the store.

swatchick, I have seen them doing this, and food from the deli's too.

Garage sale, yep, gotta watch them closely. The cash box my son has for his little enterprise, is always inside with us if we are not out there using it.

We were gone for four days camping, and there is this contingent of kids who, when we are gone, decide they want in to get candy and have tried to pry open our garage door and this last time, we came home to find they had been throwing a chunk of cement at the garage door.

I predict soon it will be through a window. Their mother is the one who also tries to steal.

TexasBorn, my kids are not brainwashed by the institutionalized liberalism that is now our public schools, because they are being homeschooled. I think it is a shame that we now have to be on guard about our own public schools, but that is the reality anymore. It has become a political platform for all the politicized liberal teachers, who attempt to hijack the minds of our kids, and turn them against their parents belief system, as well as using them as pawns for their own unions political gain.

My son, in fifth grade, resisited, and his teacher treated him awful for the rest of the year.

It is becoming more clear how much illegal aliens really make and why these so called Republican business groups keep fighting so hard for the status quo or huge guest worker programs when it comes to dealing with illegal immigration. There is an endless supply of cheap labor in the world that would consider virtually any circumstance in the United States a giant step up from what they are accustomed to. The business people like to pay cut rate wages and subsidize the compensation of their employees with taxpayer provided social benefits and misguided do-gooder stuff.

Does anyone have any thoughts on why Utah, especially Salt Lake City has so many illegal aliens? One thing I noticed when I was there is that Salt Lake City has a lot of large hotels and convention center related stuff where cheap labor that can be subsidized is welcome. Haven't heard Marriott Corporation denounce those that hire illegal aliens.....

This whole situation is just another great reason to eliminate all these government social welfare programs. One earlier poster helps her daughter's family. If it is good enough for them why not everyone else? And mexicans could just go back home and that scumbag president calderon can take care of them or perhas the richest man in the world carlos slim who lives there could do something for them. But the bottom line is we need to get government out of our paychecks (FAIRTAX) so we can be more capable of caring for our own or being charitable to whom we choose. The boot heel of the IRS should not be used to force us to subsidize illegal labor in order to serve corporate greed or the poor decisions of others. Corporate directed fascism like socialism is evil and it is not self correcting. The American people have a lot of work to do at the ballot box.

Want to talk about eliminating illegal immigration start talking about eliminating social welfare!!! Without social welfare there would be millions of de facto border agents and INS agents because everyone who is unemployed would be willing to fight for one of those jobs Americans won't do. And they would make these modern day plantation owners (mohawk industries, tyson foods etc.) famous for being the traitors they are. The American people just need to be properly incentivized and we can get anything done! I think the fear of being hungry and losing your country will get the ball rolling.

There is one thing I could never figure out. When they had those so called sweatshops in Central America people boycotted products and complained. When people do the same here with illegals many people have no problems. I have personally seen some of the living conditions illegals live in and it is not much different if not worse than those in other countries who had sweatshops. Many who work on farms live in overcrowded conditions and I was shocked to see how many baby deaths there were due to the baby sleeping with the parents in bed. Those babied would end up under a parent, a pillow or mattress. The parents were never charged as they were poor migrant workers but if the parent was an American poor single mom she would have been charged for the infant death.

When the incentives go, so do the illegals
They ALWAYS know Where they can find the Buss. that will HIRE them and the SAFE havens that will protect them.

    17. million unempolyed American need our help now

20 STATES have passed e-verify or in process.
    They get it.
The States of CO and CA still don't get it.

If Nancy Pelosi still wants "all of God children " America's will happily develop a new caught release program.
Send them to CA until CA figures it out.
    Meanwhile CA shut-up.
America is tired of your do-nothing attitude.
You can't have it both ways.
You enforce all LAWS speedily and fairly on this issue or you turn into a third world nation just like the border country , MX.
Where is your disclosure for kidnappings?
Where is your honest exposure for disappearing Americans who left CA for Buss. pleasure, and visits and never returned
Isn't strange that CA will never openingly disscussed these issue openingly?

The laws these people get away with appears to be endless!
Of course no one wants to upset them!
Hell no! Just arrest the Amercain citizen for speaking out and accuse him/her of being a racist and imprison them since it is linked to a hate crime.
