UPDATE on Reno ICE raids
It's WORKING!!! Just a few raids in Reno have panicked most if not all illegal aliens! Carson City, the capital, is 40 miles south of Reno. Good news spreads fast - only one day for these results!
Maybe just one ICE raid a month in each state is all we need to get massive attrition by self-deportation.
Way to go, ICE!!
McDonald's stores in the Carson City area are closed or have scaled back business.
Restaurants at the Wal-Mart stores in Carson City and Topsy Lane are closed and the stores on North Carson Street and Winnie Lane have only drive-thru service available.
Some Hispanic leaders in Reno have called for a walk out today in response to federal government raids on several McDonald's stores in Reno and one in Fernley.
If you are involved in the walk out or have concerns about it, send an e-mail to dfrank@nevadaappeal.com or call 881-1212.

more good news - raids work!!!
Word really spreads fast. Let's keep this message alive all around the country! Note that ALL industries are affected. I can't wait for the casinos to start hiring legal workers - they are infamous. Raids work by encouraging attrition. All of Reno area and 40 miles away in Carson City are influenced.
Works just like a meter maid - why do YOU put money in the meter?
Now we just need a few more meter maids.
[quote]Although ICE agents raided (ONLY!) 11 Reno restaurants, many other fast food restaurants not raided closed when employees walked off the job out of fear of more raids, readers said. Workers left other jobs as well, readers said.

Contact them
I have e-mailed the mayor after reading his comments of the raids. He says he is against illegal immigration and they should be deported but showed sympathy for the children.
I told him they are criminals and they knew the score when they got their own children into this mess themselves. When American criminals are arrested they do not get special treatment when they have children. If no one is available to take them they go to child protective services.
Let the raids go on.

If they do ineed call for a walk-out, the employers will begin to wise up and hire Americans who don't come with that risk.

7 deported after Reno immigration raids
Associated Press - September 28, 2007 7:24 PM ET
RENO, Nev. (AP) - 7 of the 54 undocumented workers arrested in immigration raids at McDonald's restaurants in northern Nevada are being deported to Mexico today because of previous immigration violations, federal officials said.
A spokesman for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement says 30 of the 54 apprehended in yesterday's raids were released today for "humanitarian purposes" while they await an appearance in immigration court.
Richard Rocha says humanitarian purposes can include such things as a medical condition or a person in a position as the sole caregiver for children, he said.
Eight detainees remain in custody at the Washoe County Jail and nine have been transferred to another undisclosed detention center.
Rocha emphasized that no children have been left unattended as a result of the arrests. He says they have been working closely with the county's social services to provide care for any children who need it.

Some Arrested in Nev. Raids Deported
RENO, Nev. (AP) -- More than half of the undocumented workers arrested in immigration raids on McDonald's restaurants were released Friday for "humanitarian purposes" while they await an appearance in immigration court, a federal official said Friday.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement revised the number of people arrested the day before to 54, down from 56. Seven were being deported to Mexico because of pervious immigration violations, and 17 remained in custody, ICE spokesman Richard Rocha said.
Humanitarian purposes can include such things as a medical condition or being the sole caregiver to children, he said, stressing that no children were left unattended as a result of the arrests.
The investigation began five months ago and was sparked by an identity theft complaint. A local law enforcement agency then gave ICE information that illegal immigrants were working at specific McDonald's restaurants, he said.
Luther Mack, who owns the raided restaurants, insisted that his businesses require employees to provide documentation.

Something is wrong with this picture. It is happening over and over again that those who have previously been deported are immediately being deported again. This just happened in the case of the Phoenix Cop killer.
Those who have previously been deported and get caught being in the U.S. again, according to the law, should be facing a lengthy bit of jail time in a U.S. prison. The Feds have totally copped out on this and it is time that this problem be brought to light. I heard O'reilly ranting over this the other night about the death of the Phoenix cop and he said "after Scottsdale PD had picked him up a few months ago, he should have been immediately deported." He too was totally ignoring that when Scottsdale picked him up, he should have had an immigration hold and have been sentenced for returning after being deported (4 times I believe).
These Reno violators should also be looking at prison time rather than a free ride home only to return next week.Illegal aliens remain exempt from American laws, while they DEMAND American rights...
