Any pro-amnesty proponents still doubt that REWARDING illegal behavior is an illegal alien magnet??

From a meeting tonight where amnesty lawyers gave free advice to illegal aliens caught up in Reno's McDonalds ICE raids:

Others came to get information about their rights and the rights of family members who were detained.

MarÃ*a Enriqueta Arce, whose brother Raymundo Arce was picked up from his work Thursday and transferred early Friday to a detention in Eloy, Ariz., tearfully described the raid as unjust. Her brother had consulted with lawyers in the past about attaining legal status in the country but they all have told him to wait for the next amnesty reform, she said.

From a Reno area news article blog:

My daughter went in to get an application at McDonalds earlier this year (she is half hispanic but only speaks only English). They told her that in order to communicate with the other workers she had to be fluent in Spanish. Needless to say, when she told them she wasn't they told her that she wasn't right for the position.

This is a Gem. Someone with some wherewithal could make a Federal discrimination lawsuit out of this and rightly so. There's barely a soul on earth not qualified for a job at McDonalds.

Area McDonald's stores closed or scaled-down

McDonald's stores in the Carson City area are closed or have scaled back business.

Restaurants at the Wal-Mart stores in Carson City and Topsy Lane are closed and the stores on North Carson Street and Winnie Lane have only drive-thru service available.

Some Hispanic leaders in Reno have called for a walk out today in response to federal government raids on several McDonald's stores in Reno and one in Fernley.

Looks like McDonald's hires a lot of illegals then.

Illegal aliens claim they are doing jobs that American will not do, but McDonalds opened with American workers. If they had not been illegal they woudl not have left their jobs in such a hurry. I understand the place was emptied in minutes when ICE arrived.
I am seeing more and more Americans working at jobs that they are not supposed to do.
And others are seing the same.

A spokesman for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement says 30 of the 54 apprehended in yesterday's raids were released today for "humanitarian purposes" while they await an appearance in immigration court.

Do they honestly think all 30 of these folks are going to show up for their court date?

"Latino activists" plan boycotts against businesses, INCLUDING the McDonalds that got raided!! No shortage of brains among the activists, huh???

Also marches and demonstrations are scheduled for Wednesday, ending at the Reno Federal Building. And a boycott against KKOH, a Conservative talk station in Reno.

Shooting themselves in the foot again. I love it.

And one illegal alien was working at the Best Western motel when ICE found her. This is much bigger than just McDonalds. On the KKOH station Friday, someone said that ICE was also checking construction sites. Maybe a large fraudulent ID ring, perhaps???

No. And since they can operate with multiple i.d.'s they will suffer no greater penalty than having to find another job.

Contrast that to the penalties an American Citizen would suffer if he were the one charged.
