Plenty of news stories over the years about outbreaks of various diseases brought in by illegals. Lack of archiving by the sites presenting those stories makes gathering them difficult.

Two told of multi-million dollars costs to Denver and New York City for treating illegals with drug-resistant TB and how few of the invaders hung around to complete the full treatment, resulting in those illegals being able to spread the disease.

Contra Costa County California posted signs in Spanish out in public begging illegals to come on for free (to the illegal, you and I pay for it) testing and treatment.

    The problem is real.

Political correctness prevents some of the lack of publicity.

The elite-owned media surely is responsible for some more of the lack of coverage.

Also, when searching for news about illegals you need to use several search engines since no one engine will find all relevent info.

Understood....yet we also do not want to be melodramatically alarmist. Facts speak louder than drama.

    disease

    Barkway,

The threat is real. I was an ER RN for 28 years in Miami. Fl.. Until about 7 years ago, I personally never saw a TB case. I, personally, took care of 10 people with TB, 6 with MDR-TB. 9 were Hispanic immigrants(don't know legal or illegal), and 1 Haitian. Every year now, there are 2-3 positive TB tests in our schools, which then of course, cause community concern.

We had 2 Malaria patients and one Dengue. These patients had NOT been out of the country. That's just in one small ER.

These results were double checked in the lab.

It's scary to be a nurse, sitting close to a patient to start an IV and have them cough in your face, then to find out later, because the Hospital Infection Disease specialist calls you in, to tell you that your pt. had MDR-TB!

I cant blame you curiouspat! Unfortunately hospitals have been hiring illegal immigrants for years, and I really doubt that the id's given on the employment applications are real.
I know 1st hand how filthy these illegals are. They are usually put in charge of sponge-bathing, changing gowns, and taking vitals. Anyone can take vitals, and you really dont need special training to do them.
And of course, they were in charge of giving us meals all day.
Well, they sneezed all over ther place without even attempting to cover their mouths, would wipe their noses all over their sleeves, would use the bathroom in my room, and the NEVER EVER WASHED THEIR HANDS.
I wouldnt want to be a nurse in those surroundings either. But imagine being the patient under those circumstances.

    butterbean, where do you live?

My hospital made us get new Social Security cards. 'Course, we went to the SS Ofc. in a group of about 20. We had to have a lot of ID. It was hard to come by it for me...remember, my home was burned down by the gang of illegals.

OMG. Little Havana. Announcements done in Spanish...in AMERICA! I'm not just talking about names. Announcements.

Now, if some folk got forgeries...can't speak to that.

though it hasn't been reported on the local news, I was told a couple of weeks ago that a man in town has leprosy.

I'm sure he's not the only one. We were trying to figure out how he could have gotten it, and the guy I was talking to told me this man was a drug addic, so chances are he was using contaminated needles -- how many people shared the needle with him, the Lord only knows

    Coto,

Strep, also. The last ~4 years that I worked, I saw so many culture results with "resistant, resistant, resistant...."

You should see the docs struggling to get an antibiotic that works!

BTW: Dear Folk.. PLEASE DON'T ASK FOR ANTIBIOTICS FOR VIRUSES! This is an educated group of folk, so you are probably aware of the problem. I've actually heard people threaten to sue docs and the ER if they DON'T get antibiotics when we all knew and they were taught that they wouldn't work. Ignorance is NOT bliss, and hurts all of us, when resistant bacteria gets out into the public.

remember how afraid Congress was over anthrax? -- all the buildings were evacuated and mail still goes through a process. But chances are, being exposed to a communicale disease is greater than any threat of anthrax
