Republicans in Congress need to return to their roots, stop wasting their time and our money working on stupid DACA deals and focus on important legislation that will help fix our trade deficits without confrontation, international disputes, excuses by so-called "icons" like Harley-Davidson to continue moving their plants offshore hiding behind "tariffs" and pass the FairTax that balances our trade deficits at the final point of sale with a simple national retail sales tax, without any confrontations, international disputes, WTO lawsuits or retaliatory measures. You can still have tariffs, doesn't change anything to do with tariffs or excise taxes, but you won't really need them to balance our trade deficits, maybe for dumping, intellectual property theft, currency manipulation and other types of unfair and bad behavior by our "friends", but not to balance the trade deficit.

Check it out Congresscritters, FairTax Act of 2017, HR 25 in the US House of Representatives. Check it out Peter Navarro, Mick Mulvaney, Steven Mnuchin, Stephen Miller, Robert Lighthizer, Mike Pompeo and President Trump and ask Congress to pass it!!

I knew it wouldn't stay dead!

In 1983 President Reagan raised tariffs on Japanese motorcycles to protect Harley-Davidson because they were losing the market. Of course that raised the price of motorcycles then. And people squawked. Harley-Davidson again has lost market, apparently about 50%. Meanwhile their sales in Europe have increased. So several months ago they began planning this move.

But suddenly, it is all about tariffs. It's not about the FairTax!
