    Go, tell it on the mountain,
    Over the hills and everywhere
    Go, tell it on the mountain,
    That Jesus Christ is born.

    While shepherds kept their watching
    Over silent flocks by night
    Behold throughout the heavens
    There shone a holy light.

    The shepherds feared and trembled,
    When lo! above the earth,
    Rang out the angels chorus
    That hailed the Savior’s birth.

    Down in a lowly manger
    The humble Christ was born
    And God sent us salvation
    That blessèd Christmas morn.

    ================================================== ================================================== ====

    If there us one man, women, or child
    That hasnt heard The Greatest thing on earth
    Run out and tell them today
    Shout it from the roof tops
    It truley is the Greatest Gift ever

    [color=blue][b]Angels we have heard on high
    Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
    And the mountains in reply
    Echoing their joyous strains.

    Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
    Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

    Shepherds, why this jubilee?
    Why your joyous strains prolong?
    What the gladsome tidings be
    Which inspire your heavenly song?

    Come to Bethlehem and see
    Christ Whose birth the angels sing;
    Come, adore on bended knee,
    Christ the Lord, the newborn King.

    See Him in a manger laid,
    Whom the choirs of angels praise;
    Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,
    While our hearts in love we raise.

    Shepherds in the field abiding,
    Tell us when the seraph bright
    Greeted you with wondrous tiding,
    What you saw and heard that night.

    We beheld—it is no fable—
    God incarnate, King of bliss,
    Swathed and cradled in a stable,
    And the angel strain was this:

    Choristers on high were singing
    Jesus and His virgin birth,
    Heavenly bells the while a-ringing
    “Peace, good will to men on earth.â€

    We three kings of Orient are;
    Bearing gifts we traverse afar,
    Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
    Following yonder star.

    O star of wonder, star of light,
    Star with royal beauty bright,
    Westward leading, still proceeding,
    Guide us to thy perfect light.

    Born a King on Bethlehem’s plain
    Gold I bring to crown Him again,
    King forever, ceasing never,
    Over us all to reign.

    Frankincense to offer have I;
    Incense owns a Deity nigh;
    Prayer and praising, voices raising,
    Worshipping God on high.

    Myrrh is mine, its bitter perfume
    Breathes a life of gathering gloom;
    Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying,
    Sealed in the stone cold tomb.

    Glorious now behold Him arise;
    King and God and sacrifice;
    Alleluia, Alleluia,
    Sounds through the earth and skies.

    Who Started This Christmas Stuff Any Way?

    A woman was out Christmas shopping with her two
    children. After many hours of looking at row after
    row of toys and everything else imaginable; and
    after hours of hearing both her children asking for
    everything they saw on those many shelves, she
    finally made it to the elevator with her two kids.

    She was feeling what so many of us feel during
    the holiday season time of the year. Overwhelming
    pressure to go to every party, every housewarming,
    taste all the holiday food and treats, getting that
    perfect gift for every single person on our shopping
    list, making sure we don't forget anyone on our card
    list, and the pressure of making sure we respond to
    everyone who sent us a card.

    Finally the elevator doors opened and there was
    already a crowd in the car. She pushed her way into
    the car and dragged her two kids in with her and all
    the bags of stuff. When the doors closed she
    couldn't take it anymore and stated, "Whoever
    started this whole Christmas thing should be found,
    strung up and shot."

    From the back of the car, everyone heard a quiet
    calm voice respond, "Don't worry, we already
    crucified Him."

    For the rest of the trip down the
    elevator it was so quiet you could have heard a pin
    drop.
    Don't forget this year to keep the One who
    started this whole Christmas thing in your every
    thought, deed, purchase, and word. If we all did it,
    just think of how different this whole world would
    be.

    Just Think How differnt the world would be...

    Thou fairest Child divine,
    In yonder manger laid,
    In Whom is God Himself well pleased,
    By Whom all things were made,
    On me art Thou bestowed,
    How can such wonders be!
    The dearest that the Father hath
    He gives me here in Thee!

    I was a foe to God,
    I fought in Satan’s host,
    I trifled all His grace away,
    Alas! my soul was lost.
    Yet God forgives my sin,
    His heart, with pity moved,
    He gives me, heavenly Child, in Thee;
    Lo! thus our God hath loved!

    Once blind with sin and self,
    Along the treacherous way,
    That ends in ruin at the last,
    I hastened far astray;
    Then God sent down His Son,
    For with a love most deep,
    Most undeserved, His heart still yearned
    O’er me, poor wandering sheep!

    God with His life of love
    To me was far and strange,
    My heart clung only to the world
    Of sight and sense and change;
    In Thee, Immanuel,
    Are God and man made one;
    In Thee my heart hath peace with God,
    And union in the Son.

    Oh ponder this, my soul,
    Our God hath loved us thus,
    That e’en His only dearest Son
    He freely giveth us.
    Thou precious gift of God,
    The pledge and bond of love,
    With thankful heart I kneel to take
    This treasure from above.

    I kneel beside Thy couch,
    I press Thee to my heart,
    For Thee I gladly all forsake
    And from the creature part;
    Thou priceless Pearl! lo, He
    By whom Thou’rt loved and known,
    Will give Himself and all He hath
    To win Thee for His own.

    Oh, come, Thou blessèd Child,
    Thou Savior of my soul,
    For ever bound to Thee, my name
    Among Thy host enroll.
    O deign to take my heart,
    And let Thy heart be mine,
    That all my love flow out to Thee,
    And lose itself in mine.

    Home where the wind blows
    The cane foam's a-runnin'
    Christmas Time's A-Comin'.

    So many times people forget just what Christmas and giving gifts are all about, but every year it seems that Christmas comes back into the harts of all. This next song does it for so many.

    Video:
    Christmas shoes

    It was almost Christmas time, there I stood in another line
    Tryin' to buy that last gift or two, not really in the Christmas mood
    Standing right in front of me was a little boy waiting anxiously
    Pacing 'round like little boys do
    And in his hands he held a pair of shoes

    His clothes were worn and old, he was dirty from head to toe
    And when it came his time to pay
    I couldn't believe what I heard him say

    Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
    It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
    Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
    You see she's been sick for quite a while
    And I know these shoes would make her smile
    And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight

    He counted pennies for what seemed like years
    Then the cashier said, "Son, there's not enough here"
    He searched his pockets frantically
    Then he turned and he looked at me
    He said Mama made Christmas good at our house
    Though most years she just did without
    Tell me Sir, what am I going to do,
    Somehow I've got to buy her these Christmas shoes

    So I laid the money down, I just had to help him out
    I'll never forget the look on his face when he said
    Mama's gonna look so great

    Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please
    It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size
    Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time
    You see she's been sick for quite a while
    And I know these shoes would make her smile
    And I want her to look beautiful if Mama meets Jesus tonight

    I knew I'd caught a glimpse of heaven's love
    As he thanked me and ran out
    I knew that God had sent that little boy
    To remind me just what Christmas is all about

    A lot people dont know this but these words were writÂ*ten durÂ*ing the AmerÂ*iÂ*can civil war, leaves a real sense of desÂ*pair in the next to last stanÂ*za. 4-5 speak of the batÂ*tle, and are usualÂ*ly not sung

    [b]I heard the bells on Christmas day
    Their old familiar carols play,
    And wild and sweet the words repeat
    Of peace on earth, good will to men.

    And thought how, as the day had come,
    The belfries of all Christendom
    Had rolled along the unbroken song
    Of peace on earth, good will to men.

    Till ringing, singing on its way
    The world revolved from night to day,
    A voice, a chime, a chant sublime
    Of peace on earth, good will to men.

    And in despair I bowed my head
    “There is no peace on earth,â€

    O’er the hills and adown the snowy dells,
    As the echoes ring of the Christmas bells,
    Angel songs in our hearts resound again,
    Singing peace on earth and good will to men!

    Bring pine and fir tree, weave the garlands bright,
    Gladden the temple of the King tonight!
    Christmas is here! Fill it with cheer;
    Make it glorious with joy and light.

    Bring good will to the suffering and sad;
    Speak the tender word that shall make them glad;
    Tell them how, o’er the hills of Bethlehem
    When the angels sang, ’twas good news for them.

    Peace on earth! bid all strife and tumult cease;
    For this night again gives the Lord His peace;
    While our hands shall His temple beautify,
    Carol, glory be unto God most high.

    So glad hearts on this happy Christmas night
    Bring your gifts of love, make His altar bright;
    Sing glad songs that shall sweetly sound as when
    Angels sang of peace and good will to men.

    Little children, rise and sing,
    (Ring the bells of Christmas)
    ’Tis the birthday of our King,
    Blessèd Child of Christmas.

    In a stable far away
    (Ring the bells of Christmas)
    Christ was born that happy day,
    Blessèd Child of Christmas.

    Joyful shepherds kneeling there,
    (Ring the bells of Christmas)
    Saw the Babe and said in prayer,
    ‘Blessèd Child of Christmas.’

    Bring your gifts to Mary’s Son
    (Ring the bells of Christmas)
    God’s own Gift to everyone;
    Blessèd Child of Christmas.

    Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
    The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head.
    The stars in the sky looked down where He lay,
    The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.

    The cattle are lowing, the Baby awakes,
    But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes;
    I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky
    And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.

    Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay
    Close by me forever, and love me, I pray;
    Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care,
    And fit us for Heaven to live with Thee there.
