If McCain is planning on an unconventional choice, may I recommend either Ron Paul or one of the other early dropouts who made a lot more sense to me than McCain ever did. I really like Romney, but if we are going to be surprised, I worry that he is out of the question.
Seems like I worry about a lot these days, least of which being the future of this country after the nightmare of the current aministration.

All I know is that if McCain picks a PRO-choicer for his running mate, it's ALL OVER for him!

I agree. If he loses both ourselves AND the Evangelicals he's DONE. That is why I think he will choose someone like Huckabee. Huckabee also has a fake populist appeal, seems moderate, seems like a good guy to the untrained eye. My bets on him. We should have a betting pool on this LOL.

It might be someone we have not even considered (and it usually is). But IMO there is no way he will pick anyone with even a remotely good stance on immigration.

I also think he will be done if he puts a neoconservative on the ticket. He needs to do a tit-for-tat on Obama's Biden move.

Modern American politics is so lame. I don't know why I even analyse it

Romney won Nevada......Romney just had a meeting here in Henderson and had over 1,000 people there....most said that they would vote McCain ONLY if Romney was VP......

    Repeat ....Romney Won Nevada.....

I would ONLY vote McCain if Romney was VP

Either way, I believe we will know tonight. The 'leak' will probably come shortly after Obama's speech, which should wrap up by 11 pm. I will be shocked if they keep the news underwraps until tomorrow.

Tell ya what, I'll bet a $20 alipac donation that we hear McCain's veep pick by the stroke of midnight tonight. Any takers?

No bet here. I think you are right. Senators always make dumb decisions on important matters at midnight.

Either HotAir or Malkin is thinking it will be Pawlenty, because (and I am not joking) Mitt owns too many homes.
