(Natural News) URGENT: Today we join Eric Coppolino in calling for the immediate, total evacuation of East Palestine, Ohio due to the dioxin fallout now taking place there. The full interview with Eric Coppolino is now available at the bottom of this article. The interview also appears at the HR Report channel page on Brighteon.com.
The toxic cloud event that’s dropping extremely toxic dioxins across a large area of residential housing and farmland was deliberately generated by the open burning of vinyl chloride, creating combustion byproducts of dioxins which are many orders of magnitude more toxic and dangerous than the original substance.
Understand that the combustion of chlorinated compounds always results in the formation of dioxins. This simple fact is known by all competent chemists and is openly admitted by the EPA itself on its dioxins warning page, which states:
Studies have shown that only small amounts of chlorinated materials in waste are required to support dioxin formation when burning waste… Much of the dioxins created and released into the air through backyard burning settle on plants. These plants are, in turn, eaten by meat and dairy animals, which store the dioxins in their fatty tissue. People are exposed to dioxins primarily by eating meat, fish, and dairy products, especially those high in fat. Backyard burning occurs most commonly in rural farming areas where dioxin emissions can more easily be deposited on animal feed crops and grazing lands. These dioxins then accumulate in the fats of dairy cows, beef, poultry, and swine, making human consumption of these harmful chemicals difficult to avoid.
Near-PERMANENT ecological destruction on a scale never before witnessed

The EPA even states that dioxins are PBTs, which means 1) Persistent. 2) Bioaccumulative. 3) Toxic. This means they don’t go away, they accumulate up the food chain to achieve higher and higher concentrations, and 3) They are toxic. As the EPA explains:
Dioxins are classified as persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic pollutants (PBTs). PBTs are highly toxic, long-lasting substances that can build up in the food chain to levels that are harmful to human and ecosystem health. Persistent means they remain in the environment for extended periods of time. Bioaccumulative means their concentration levels increase as they move up the food chain. As a consequence, animals at the top of the food chain (such as humans) tend to have the highest dioxin concentrations in their bodies.
What sort of health problems are caused by dioxin exposure?
    1) Immune suppression.
    2) Infertility, spontaneous abortions.
    3) Extreme hormone disruption.
    4) Developmental disorders in babies and children.
    5) DNA mutations.
    6) Cancer.
    Via the EPA:
Dioxins are potent toxicants with the potential to produce a broad spectrum of adverse effects in humans. Dioxins can alter the fundamental growth and development of cells in ways that have the potential to lead to many kinds of impacts. These include adverse effects upon reproduction and development, suppression of the immune system, disruption of hormonal systems, and cancer.
The “controlled burn” actually transformed a relatively harmless chemical into an extremely toxic, deadly chemical that will persist across Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York State for CENTURIES

The media and government are both repeatedly using the phrase, “controlled burn” to describe the setting fire to the liquid vinyl chloride monomer that was being carried by the Norfolk Southern railroad.
Vinyl chloride is made solely of three elements: Carbon, hydrogen and chlorine. In its simplest form, it looks like this (the monomer, liquid form is on the left, and the solid poly form is on the right):

Although vinyl chloride is somewhat toxic, it’s nowhere near as toxic as the dioxins created by burning vinyl chloride without fully incinerating it. Low-temperature combustion actually produces far more toxic compounds than what you started with, in other words.
Put another way, if you incinerate it as a hazardous waste at > 2000 degrees (F), you will destroy the molecule’s morphology and end up with just the individual elements such as carbon and hydrogen, each of which is relatively harmless by itself.
But if you ignite vinyl chloride in an open ditch, you create a dioxin factory that produces extremely toxic molecules from the combination of heat and oxygen. The hydrogen, carbon and chlorine are combined with oxygen from the open air (hence the fact that the burn was actually uncontrolled, not controlled), and you produce molecules like this: (2,3,7,8 TCDD)

Image source: Restoration and Remediation Magazine Online, RandRmagonline.com
After this relatively low-temperature combustion (an open fire in a ditch), you have now converted relatively harmless vinyl chloride into extremely toxic, persistent toxins known as dioxins.
Burning the vinyl chloride was an act of ecological terrorism and a crime against nature and human civilization

In effect, you’ve just increased the toxicity of this substance by perhaps 10 orders of magnitude or more, given that dioxins can be toxic at exposures well below billionths of a gram. A femtogram is one millionth of one billionth of a gram, and dioxins can produce toxic effects at femtograms of exposure.
In fact, competent scientists have concluded that there is no safe level of exposure to dioxins. Not even one femtogram. That’s because at any level, dioxins begin to produce toxic effects on biology, no matter how small the exposure.
Put another way, by setting fire to the vinyl chloride, the railroad turned their relatively non-toxic product into an insanely toxic chemical bomb and released it into the open air.
To call this a “controlled burn” is a crime. The media is gaslighting the entire nation by refusing to report on dioxins.
Whoever set fire to this vinyl chloride in an open ditch just carried out the worst act of ecological terrorism ever recorded in North America.
As Restoration and Remediation magazine explains, these dioxins are the most toxic chemicals known to humankind…
Post-structure fire and wildfire settings, especially those where plastics, synthetic materials, electronics, or PVC have burned, extremely hazardous and carcinogenic chemicals are created that are typically overlooked altogether. One chemical in particular, dioxin, some consider to be one of the most toxic chemicals known to man.
Not only is this substance extremely toxic to all life, and far more lethal than asbestos or lead, it is also known to the World Health Organization as a member of the so-called “Dirty Dozen” – a group of dangerous chemicals also referred to as persistent organic pollutants (POPs).
POPs are chemicals of global concern due to their potential for long-range transport, persistence in the environment and atmosphere, ability to bioaccumulate in ecosystems, as well as their significant negative effects on human health and the environment. Bioaccumulation is the accumulation of chemicals in organisms from the surrounding environment through skin absorption, ingestion, and inhalation.
As this article explains — a fact that can be confirmed by any competent chemist, dioxins are created when chlorinated compounds are ignited or combusted:
Dioxins are formed when products containing carbon and chlorine burn, especially plastic, paper, pesticides, herbicides or other products where chlorine is used in the manufacturing process. Dioxins do not typically exist in materials before they are burned and are especially prevalent in structure fires and wildfires.
When set on fire, dioxins are formed and then chemically bond to smoke particles

From the R and R magazine, link above:
Depending on the temperature in a fire, dioxins can be adsorbed or chemically bound to smoke particles or remain in a vapor phase. Adsorption is when particles bond with one another, similar to how a magnet bonds with iron, rather than being absorbed like a sponge absorbs liquids.
This means that when you are observing the giant smoke column rising from East Palestine and spreading over the entire area like a giant toxic doom cloud, you are seeing dioxins spreading through the air with the smoke. The following photo is essentially showing a dioxin cloud spreading in an uncontrolled manner, into the atmosphere:

All the people who have been breathing in the fallout areas in the aftermath of East Palestine are breathing in highly toxic dioxins:
TCDD can enter your body if you inhale contaminated particulate, have skin or eye contact with contaminated soot, ash, or other materials, or eat contaminated food. Due to the fact that ultra-fine smoke particulate matter generated in fires is often less than 3 microns in size (half the size of a red blood cell), inhalation of dioxin-laden particulate can easily bypass the lungs and enter the bloodstream.
Here’s another list of some of the effects of dioxin exposure, via the same source linked above:
Other adverse health effects may include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, porphyria, endometriosis, early menopause, reduced testosterone and thyroid hormones, altered immunologic response, skin, tooth, and nail abnormalities, altered growth factor signaling, and altered metabolism.
Diseases which have been linked to dioxin seem endless. Ingesting dioxin can also result in congenital malformations, spontaneous miscarriages, and a fatal, slow wasting syndrome similar to AIDS. Dioxin is strongly suspected of contributing to pathology of the urinary and hematological systems, growths in the colon, gallbladder complications, multiple myeloma, and lung, larynx and prostate cancer.
According to researcher Joe Thornton, “Dioxin’s health effects include endocrine disruption, reproductive impairment, infertility, birth defects, impaired neurological development, damage to the kidneys, and metabolic dysfunction. There is no evidence that there is a safe level of dioxin exposure below which none of these effects will occur.”
Long-term DNA mutations / DNA damage, even affecting pregnancies TWENTY YEARS after exposure

From the same source linked above:
TCDD is genotoxic and a known mutagen. A mutagen is a physical or chemical agent that causes a mutation, which is a change in the DNA of a cell. DNA changes caused by mutagens may harm cells and cause certain diseases, such as cancer. TCDD alters the genetic structure of living cells. The effect TCDD has on cell structures and genes can be passed down to future generations. In 2012, a scientific study found that dioxin affects not only the health of an exposed rat, but also unexposed descendants through a mechanism of epigenetic transgenerational inheritance. Michael Skinner, Ph.D., a professor in the Center for Reproductive Biology at Washington State University, discovered that “exposure to dioxin caused changes in the DNA methylation patterns of sperm that were transmitted across generations to affect the health of multiple generations of descendants. The grandchildren of exposed rats showed dioxin-induced effects ranging from polycystic ovarian disease to kidney disease. Due to its extremely long half-life, dioxin may still affect pregnancies occurring even 20 years after exposure.”
This means the toxic dioxin gas bomb just released over Ohio is also a genetic mutation bomb that will destroy the lives of millions of people for generations to come.
This is, in fact, far worse then Chernobyl, a Soviet nuclear accident that killed dozens and poisoned hundreds of thousands over time. What just happened in Ohio will poison millions of Americans and likely kill tens of thousands, if not many more.
This event dwarfs Chernobyl, yet the entire U.S. corporate media is complicit in this criminal cover-up that also involves the EPA, CDC, White House, Governor of Ohio, the railroad company and more.
We are going to start seeing babies born with deformed faces and limbs over the next several years. We are going to witness mass human suffering, animal die-offs and “dead zone” areas where no animals can survive.
There’s much more coming on this. Watch for my full interview with Eric Coppolino to be posted here, and also watch for NaturalNews.com’s upcoming report on natural phytochemicals that can help block and detox dioxins from the body, according to published medical and scientific research.
Finally, note that we are adding dioxin testing to our food science lab using one of our mass spec instruments (a tandem ms/ms combined with a GC interface) and we hope to have dioxin testing up and running within 90 days. More updates coming…

East Palestine launched “MyID” emergency service to surveil locals’ biometrics data just one week before train derailment

(Natural News) Exactly one week before a Norfolk Southern freight train carrying noxious, cancer-causing chemicals derailed and subsequently exploded in a “controlled release,” residents of East Palestine, Ohio, were told to sign up for a MyID tracking device from the local fire department.
An announcement from the East Palestine Fire Department explained that MyID provides “an easy method to provide valuable medical information to first responders in the event of an emergency.”
“Roll out [sic] is scheduled to begin in November, 2022,” it further reads. “The base service will be free to residents of East Palestine as an added service of the Fire Department.”
Bob Moore, a local 70-year-old farmer and longtime East Palestine resident, told the independent media that he ignored local news reports prior to the disaster urging residents like himself to sign up for MyID, allowing them to receive a biometric tracking device capable of relaying updates to first responders about their health conditions amid an emergency or “major disaster” not unlike the one that occurred in real life a week later.
The timing of the MyID rollout, Moore explained, is nothing short of suspicious – almost like the whole thing was planned as a false flag event.
“It was exactly a week before the derailment happened,” Moore explained. “The people were asked to go to the local fire department in downtown East Palestine to get that MyID.”
“They began monitoring your physical activity, your heart rate, your respiration, anything you might be exposed to. I see this as the kind of sensor you would put on an astronaut or on an athlete that you wanted to track to see how he’d react to stress or being winded, or in this instance chemical exposure. It’s a monitoring device.”
(Related: The company hired by Norfolk Southern to conduct toxicology assessments on the train derailment chemical release has a history of questionable and potentially fraudulent behavior.)
Was East Palestine a “test town” for the release of biometric tracking bracelets?

On January 26, WKBN, a local Ohio news affiliate, announced that East Palestine would begin making “an important medical device available to all 4,700 residents” starting on January 29, just five days before the derailment.
“The MyID program is ready to roll out in East Palestine. It’s a medical information system that helps first responders provide care,” WKBN reported – watch the news report below.
“MyID provides wearable devices or key FOBs that have QR codes. Emergency responders use a camera phone to access important medical information.”

    (654) East Palestine switching to 'MyID' emergency service - YouTube

The announcement upset Moore, who said it reminded him of the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccine” rollout under Operation Warp Speed.
“I completely ignored it,” Moore said about the announcement.
“But the way the media played it up – it was like East Palestine was a test town that they volunteered to be part of, that they were chosen and were going to implement it right after Jan. 23. I do find it odd. I find it a coincidence that we are having coincidences pile up around here.”
Moore further speculated about the rise in disasters at food factories and egg farms on top of the train explosion and MyID rollout. He believes the biometric bracelets are possibly a way for the government to track people in the midst of a major disaster.
“The fact that the program exists indicates that somebody somewhere knows something and wants to get data,” he said.
“Every piece of data that the government collects, that DARPA, large corporations, and multinational corporations collect, can always be turned against the citizen. Everything is vulnerable to weaponization and the most sacred thing in any weaponizing is data.”

Norfolk Southern trying to BUY OFF East Palestine residents for just $1,000 to silence them forever, and block all future cancer lawsuits resulting from vinyl chloride train catastrophe

(Natural News) As payment for all the pain and suffering they are having to endure, Norfolk Southern CEO Alan Shaw has promised to pay every resident in the 44413 zip code of East Palestine, Ohio, $1,000 each.
Stating that he is “terribly sorry” about the train wreck, Shaw told reporters that it is actually a really good thing the derailed cars carrying chemicals were intentionally blown up.
“Frankly, that told us there was a success and that the opportunity for a much riskier event occurred because of what was in the rail cars,” he stated to KWBN about the explosion.
“To this community, and I want to make sure you understand. I am terribly sorry that this happened to the community. Norfolk Southern is fully committed to doing what’s right for this community.”
In order to receive their $1,000 cash payouts, East Palestine residents will be required to sign away their right to sue, as well as to ask for any more money in the future, should they develop cancer.
“All they have to do is sign their name and say they’ve received $1,000,” Shaw stated. (Related: The East Palestine train wreck created the largest dioxin plume in history.)
Shaw says contaminated materials from East Palestine are being taken to landfills

So far, Shaw has no complaints about the cleanup process and the direction it has taken.
“We’re making a lot of progress,” he said.
As to where all the contaminated soil and liquids collected are being taken, Shaw did not provide any specific details other than to say that they are being taken to “landfills that are designed to handle that type of material.”
The interview appeared on “The War Room” this week, and you can watch it at The Gateway Pundit.
One local resident responded to Shaw’s $1,000-per-person pledge by stating that this is not nearly enough money to compensate for the horrors he is having to endure.
“I’ve been coughing every day since the derailment,” this person said. “Take your thousand and shove it. I’m suing you!”
Another pointed out that the true success would have been for Norfolk Southern to properly grease the axles of the train, which was spotted shooting out sparks and flames in Salem, Ohio, which is located just a few miles away from East Palestine.
“I’m wondering if the repair and maintenance is logged on a computer, and if so, was any of the that info changed?” asked another person.
“Really, that would be such a simple move to cause chaos. Just hack the repair logs and make it look like all the cars have just been service and are good to go. I’m just thinking out loud, too many coincidences.”
To this, another person responded that the explanation given by the railcar inspectors, anyway, is that the entire process is done in less than two minutes, which is hardly enough time to identify any problems.
“Think if this was an airliner!” this person added. “No way. Railroads are just not professional at all.”
“We need to make the EXECUTIVES CRIMINALLY responsible for all preventable incidents. I bet they would never happen! The Conductor needs to be in charge just like an airline captain is in charge or a ship captain. Anything wrong, he makes the rules. Cut loose 75 cars on a sidereal. Whatever it takes to be safe.”
While there are regulations in place for the railroads, they are inadequate, suggested someone else – especially when lobbying and political gifting help to protect the railroads from ever being held accountable for disasters like this.

Chlorinated dioxins are everywhere following East Palestine train incident, but toxicologists aren’t testing for them

(Natural News) There is a coordinated coverup taking place concerning the release of toxic dioxins from the burn site of the derailed Norfolk Southern freight train in East Palestine, Ohio.
Like every other time dioxins have presented a public health threat, the authorities are working overtime to falsely reassure everyone that they need not worry about exposure – when, in fact, dioxin release is the most concerning aspect of the recent disaster.
“Dioxin means deception,” writes Eric F. Coppolino for Planet Waves FM – Chiron Return.
What does Coppolino mean by this? The answer is simple: the government does not want people worrying about dioxins even when they pose a major threat like they now do in and around East Palestine.
“The same playbook shows up over and over again: minimizing the dangers; testing irregularities including ‘losing’ samples or results; testing for the wrong chemicals; propping up shills to say everything is safe; referring to or creating fraudulent studies; creating endless delays; and a few others you will come to recognize,” Coppolino explains.
“Then, sadly, in most instances, the public tends to jump on board and accepts reassurance [sic] pretend there is not a problem, as most people cannot wrap their minds around the nature of a substance measured in quadrillionths of a gram (femotograms).”
(Related: The train derailment incident in East Palestine is believed to have created the largest dioxin plume in world history.)
Dioxins are at least a three-generation, multigenerational toxin that causes cancer

The thing about dioxins that makes them exceptionally noxious is the fact that they are persistent, and that it does not take very much exposure at all to cause serious health problems.
Dioxins are especially damaging to the young, including babies and young children. Animals are also highly prone to dioxin damage, which is why residents of East Palestine and surrounding areas are reporting sick and dying pets and farm animals following the explosion.
“While dioxin can be an acute poison, particularly to babies, fetuses, young children and animals, it is rarely so in adults,” Coppolino writes. “Rather, it is a hormonal toxin, an at least three-generation multigenerational toxin, and a cancer inducer and cancer promoter. All of these are related.”
You may recall the infamous dioxin release incident that occurred in Times Beach, Mo., a town that for many years was used as a dioxin dump. Such high concentrations of dioxins built up in Times Beach that the entire town had to be decommissioned, torn down, and all remaining waste burned.
“It was turned into a park,” Coppolino explains. “It’s an excellent account of events; I learned many things I didn’t know. However, the health consequences are somewhat understated, especially those associated with hormone effects.”
Watch “The Cover Up at Times Beach” below to learn more:

There is no “safe” level of dioxin exposure

It is a matter of fact that dioxins are generated as a byproduct of industrial manufacturing. Any product that involves the use of chlorine, from plastics to paper, results in their creation.
There are also dioxin-like compounds that are similarly toxic. These include insecticides like DDT and Dursban; “disinfectants” like chlorinated benzene, Teflon or C8, and PCBs.
There is no safe level of exposure to dioxins, as was revealed in a 1987 report put together for Greenpeace. That document, called “No Margin of Safety,” highlighted the fact that “emergency action” was needed at the time – and still is today – to end the use of chemical processes that result in dioxin production.
The report specifically looked at TCDD, described as “the most toxic form of dioxin,” which had been detected in fish swimming near several paper and pulp mills in North America, as well as in upstream mill wastes.
“The evidence suggests that pulp and paper mills are spewing hazardous levels of TCDD into the waterways and skies across North America – and around the globe – adding to dioxin pollution already discovered from sources such as municipal and industrial waste incinerators, hazardous waste dumps, and pesticide, chemical, plastics, and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities,” the report reads.
“There are no ‘safe’ levels of TCDD. Every dose tested in laboratory animals has resulted in increased levels of cancer, birth defects and other reproductive problems, and in damage to the body’s immune system. The levels of dioxin being found near pulp mills suggests a public health emergency in America.”
Mind you, this report was put out almost 40 years ago – long before the train derailment and controlled explosion occurred in East Palestine. There have been numerous dioxin disasters since it was first published that have created an even worse environmental emergency.
Dioxins were first acknowledged as existing back in 1956 when chemical giant Monsanto released a document about them and how they are created. It was published following a 1949 explosion in Nitro, W.V., and a 1953 explosion in Germany at a BASF (formerly I.G. Farben) facility, both of which resulted in massive dioxin release.
“The incidents were used to create fraudulent studies ‘proving’ that dioxin does not cause cancer,” Coppolino explains.

Here’s why dioxins are the most toxic chemical class known to man

(Natural News) In 2020, Restoration & Remediation (R&R) published a fascinating article about dioxins that classifies them as the most hazardous substance in structure fire environments – and for good reason.
Whenever a building or object containing chlorinated chemicals catches fire – this includes the “controlled explosion” of the derailed Norfolk Southern freight train in East Palestine, Ohio – dioxins and other deadly compounds are released. However, typically speaking, very little attention is given to this toxic release.
Concerning structure fires, the federal government is primarily focused on asbestos and lead, all the while ignoring the threat of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), other heavy metals, particulate matter, and dioxin release.
“When newer homes or buildings suffer fire damage, testing for any kind of hazardous substance is typically deemed unnecessary,” explain Briana C. Scott and Sean Scott, writing for R&R.
“Occasionally, testing will be conducted for the presence of soot, char, or ash in structures near wildfire areas. However, it is almost unheard of for this type of testing to be performed to identify the composition of the combustion byproducts to determine whether any hazardous substances are present.”
Dioxins are a combustion byproduct that falls squarely into this overlooked category of post-fire chemical testing. The authorities will test for other things, but will rarely address the biggest elephant in the room: dioxins.
“Post-structure fire and wildfire settings, especially those where plastics, synthetic materials, electronics, or PVC have burned, extremely hazardous and carcinogenic chemicals are created that are typically overlooked altogether,” the Scotts add.
“One chemical in particular, dioxin, some consider to be one of the most toxic chemicals known to man.”
(Related: Did the controlled explosion of the East Palestine train wreck create the largest dioxin plume in world history?)
Dioxins are more lethal than asbestos and lead, so why do the authorities ignore them?

It turns out that dioxins belong to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) “Dirty Dozen” list of the most dangerous chemicals, also referred to as persistent organic pollutants (POPs), in the world. They are extremely toxic to all lifeforms and are by far more dangerous than both asbestos and lead.
Even the smallest quantities of dioxin are harmful, and persistently so due to their immense toxicity and propensity towards persistence – meaning they do not biodegrade and tend to accumulate wherever they lodge themselves, including in the fat tissue of animals and humans.
“POPs are chemicals of global concern due to their potential for long-range transport, persistence in the environment and atmosphere, ability to bioaccumulate in ecosystems, as well as their significant negative effects on human health and the environment,” the Scotts write. “Bioaccumulation is the accumulation of chemicals in organisms from the surrounding environment through skin absorption, ingestion, and inhalation.”
“The most commonly encountered POPs are organochlorine pesticides, industrial chemicals, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), as well as unintentional byproducts of many industrial processes, especially chlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (CDDs) and dibenzofurans.”
CDDs, by the way, are also generated during combustion. Structure fires where PVC (polyvinyl chloride), plastics, paper, and other chlorinated chemicals are present tend to release very large amounts of CDD, the most toxic being 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin, or TCDD.
“There are 75 different dioxins, or polychlorinated dibenzodioxins (PCDDs) and certain dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) with similar toxic properties are also included under the term ‘dioxins,'” reports indicate.
“Dioxins are formed when products containing carbon and chlorine burn, especially plastic, paper, pesticides, herbicides or other products where chlorine is used in the manufacturing process. Dioxins do not typically exist in materials before they are burned and are especially prevalent in structure fires and wildfires.”

Government orders Norfolk Southern to pay for train derailment cleanup costs (but the EPA still won’t mention dioxins)

(Natural News) It is official: Norfolk Southern, the rail carrier responsible for the massive derailment and “controlled explosion” fiasco in East Palestine, Ohio, will have to pay up for all the cleanup associated with remediation of the disaster.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has ordered the rail carrier to “pay for cleaning up the mess they created and for the trauma they’ve inflicted on this community.”
The derailment occurred on February 3, leaving behind overturned rail cars full of noxious poisons like vinyl chloride and other hazardous substances. When the government intentionally blew up these rail cars, all those poisons were blasted into the air.
Norfolk Southern apologized for the incident and expected that to be enough. Local residents are not satisfied as many of them have since filed lawsuits against the company for criminal negligence.
EPA head Michael Regan, speaking at a news conference in East Palestine, indicated that Norfolk Southern will need to find and clean all contaminated soil and water throughout the region. The company will also have to pay back the EPA for its own cleaning efforts.
Should Norfolk Southern refuse to comply with the EPA’s orders, the federal agency plans to “immediately” carry out all work itself and charge the company triple the cost, as well as fine it up to an additional $70,000 per day for as long as it takes to achieve justice.
(Related: Norfolk Southern is also trying to buy off the residents of East Palestine for $1,000 a pop.)
Ohio, Pennsylvania file criminal charges against Norfolk Southern over derailment, explosion

All throughout the area, residents exposed to fumes from the toxic plume are reporting headaches, burning skin, nausea, and other health problems. Many worry that they will soon develop worse health conditions such as cancer.
Many people are concerned about toxic water as well, though local water utilities are insistent that everything is fine. The Ohio Health Department opened up a special health clinic for concerned residents to voice their thoughts.
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro also wants in on the action, having stated at a joint news conference that he and other authorities in both Pennsylvania and Ohio are planning to refer criminal charges against the rail firm to his state’s top prosecutor, who now has to decide whether or not to file charges.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine also joined the news conference, where he indicated that Norfolk Southern “needs to be made to pay” for any and all medical costs stemming from exposure to the disaster.
Just hours before the announcement, DeWine and Regan drank water together for the masses to see, an action that was supposed to show them that it is safe to consume.
“I can only feel so much better; the damage has already been done, in my opinion,” stated local resident Logan Rance about the EPA’s announcement.
Norfolk Southern, which last week refused to appear at a town hall meeting, issued a statement in response to the EPA decision stating that it is “committed to thoroughly and safely cleaning the site,” as well as “reimbursing residents for the disruption this has caused in their lives.”
Some 15,000 pounds of contaminated soil and 1.5 million gallons of contaminated water has already been removed from East Palestine, according to the company.
Fake president Joe Biden also chimed in with a series of tweets indicating that his regime was “on the ground hours after the train derailed.” Instead of visiting East Palestine, however, Biden joined Volodymyr Zelensky in Ukraine to show his opposition to Russia and President Vladimir Putin.
