Immediate First Aid for toxic chemical bomb . . .
Coping with toxic exposures requires a different level of thinking about the body. This is especially pertinent with vinyl chloride exposure as in the E. Palestine, Ohio chemical bomb explosion.
Above all, vinyl chloride will attack the liver. It is most rapidly fatal through breathing with a sufficiently large volume of it, however, it produces the most damage over the longer term via the liver. So if you survive breathing it, you still are in the worry zone.
This would be a clear pointer to daily use of Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) tea as it is very liver protective as has been established over a number of studies over these last 100 years. And we specifically note in the article at the link below, that Chaga prevents, reduces, and eliminates liver cancers in a general sense, but also has had results against the specific ‘rare’ liver cancer that is associated with vinyl chloride exposure.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2681140/
In my post cancer surgery days, my Chaga tea consumption would be over 10 cups a day. No ill effects. This was a test to see if it was possible to reach a body-revulsion level with chaga. None was found in my body.
My daily chaga consumption is always at least 1 cup, but more usually 3 cups of the tea per day.
Chaga can be obtained at Purebulk.com (I have a commercial relationship with these fine people who manufacture & retail my PureSleep mix for me.)

It can also be purchased on Amazon (of course!),
but direct from Alaska-chaga.com, Mainechaga.com, anandachaga.com and many other sources.
It is a powder. Make the tea with hot water, and drinking the powder is fine. It actually aids in removing toxins from the gut.

    https://healthbymushrooms.com/does-c...-clear-toxins/
While there are mixed reports for the used of ‘active carbon’, also known as ‘activated charcoal’, in removing vinyl chloride from the system, there is enough to suggest that using activated charcoal may remove some of the material if it is deposited in the gut.
Chaga is safe for pets and livestock. Both as a powder, and as a tea. Dogs can benefit from a few drops of a chaga extract in their water.
This is the best thinking at this moment on the OHIO toxic bomb effects. If other methods present themselves, this article may be augmented, or republished.

Mysterious White Dust Blankets Parts Of West Virginia

    FRIDAY, FEB 24, 2023 - 12:43 PM

A Facebook page that tracks emergencies across the Panhandle of West Virginia posted multiple reports late Thursday of mysterious white dust falling from the sky and accumulating on cars and other surfaces outside.
Eastern Panhandle Working Fires said the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection "requested anybody experiencing these issues call 911 immediately and have their local fire department respond. They also advise to shut doors and windows and avoid outdoors at this time as a common sense approach until it can be identified."

Another post by the group that has more than 100,000 followers showed Hampshire County 911 Center in Romney, West Virginia, said:
"We are aware of recent reports of an unknown dust-like substance accumulating on cars and surfaces outside. This is reportedly occurring across the tri-state region. We are aware of another social media site that has advised you to contact 911 if you witness this situation."

Many folks from the region tweeted images and videos of the mysterious white dust, blanketing everything in sight.

EPA ignores resident near Ohio train derailment who says ash from ‘controlled burn’ of chemicals landed more than a mile away

(Natural News) A resident who lives near the East Palestine, Ohio, site of this month’s horrendous train derailment and chemical spill, said that the Environmental Protection Agency is ignoring him after he reported ash from a controlled burn of the chemicals landed all over his residence more than a mile-and-a-half away.
“Like many residents who live within a few miles of Norfolk Southern Railway’s Feb. 3 train derailment, Jerry Corbin evacuated before the railroad decided to conduct a controlled burn of five freight cars containing the toxic vinyl chloride on Feb. 6,” The Epoch Times reported this week. “When he returned to his home in Darlington Township, Pennsylvania—around 1.4 miles from the crash site—Corbin discovered two surprises. Black debris that resembled ash was strewn all over his yard and on his roof, and an “undetonated blasting cap” landed in a pasture near his house.”
On the night of February 3rd, a catastrophic train derailment occurred in the small village of East Palestine, Ohio. With 151 cars on board, the Norfolk Southern train derailed and caused a fire that engulfed an additional 12 cars.
Alarmingly, 11 of the derailed cars contained hazardous materials, prompting Norfolk Southern to take drastic measures to avoid a large-scale explosion. Thus, the company opted to release and burn vinyl chloride from five of the rail cars, resulting in a large plume of thick black smoke and intense flames soaring into the sky, the outlet noted.
According to witness accounts, the controlled burn was initiated by a blasting cap, a small device containing cotton and wire that is used to detonate explosives. Though the measure was intended to keep the incident under control, the destruction left behind has yet to be fully assessed. Corbin thinks a blasting cap he found on his property was meant to be used in the detonation of the rail cars.
“It’s not real big. It would blow your hand off,” Corbin said of the blasting cap. “I contacted someone in the military and asked him about it. He said don’t have any static electricity around it, don’t drop it.”
Vinyl chloride is a substance utilized in the production of PVC pipes and other items. According to the National Cancer Institute, vinyl chloride has been connected to various cancers, including those of the brain, lungs, liver, blood, and lymphatic system.
Furthermore, the other rail cars contained various chemicals such as ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, ethylhexyl acrylate, isobutylene, and butyl acrylate, all of which are used in the manufacturing of plastic products.
“The night of the crash, my wife and I were driving into East Palestine to go to the store, and we saw the fire and the smoke,” Corbin told the outlet. “I have asthma, so even before there was an evacuation order, we packed a few bags and went to a hotel away from the area.”
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine urged individuals living within a 1-mile by 2-mile area around East Palestine, which encompasses parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania, to evacuate prior to the controlled burn.
DeWine emphasized the gravity of the situation as a “matter of life and death.”
Three days later, DeWine announced during a press conference that the evacuation order was lifted, allowing residents to return to their homes. Norfolk Southern trains resumed traveling through East Palestine, and state and federal officials declared that tests confirmed the safety of the air and water.
Corbin turned 73 the day he and his wife returned to their home, on Feb. 9. During an initial conversation with the EPA, the agency said that the ash he found on his property wasn’t from the rail car burn.
“Then they sent some people out, and they were astonished about what they saw,” Corbin said, noting that officials from the agency took samples before leaving.
“A few days later, some more people from the EPA stopped by and took more samples,” Corbin said. “I asked them to let me know what is in that ash before we plant our garden. We haven’t heard anything from them since.”

Cancer-causing compound potentially spreading across Eastern Ohio

    1,950VIEWS

(Natural News) Following the Ohio train derailment, Senator Sherrod Brown and Senator J.D. Vance wrote to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and its state counterpart to request more information about the potential spread of dioxin in East Palestine, Ohio.
According to data, the harmful compound can cause cancer.
In the letter, the two Ohio senators warned EPA Administrator Michael Regan and Ohio EPA Director Anne Vogel that the combustion of vinyl chloride, one of the toxic chemicals that was released and burned after a train transporting it derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, earlier in February, can result in the formation of dioxins.
Research suggests that dioxins are highly toxic compounds and are considered “persistent environmental pollutants.”
The senators quoted EPA information, writing that dioxins can interfere with hormones. The harmful chemicals were also linked to cancer and reproductive and developmental problems.
The findings also revealed that exposure to dioxins may harm the immune system.
Brown and Vance asked whether the agencies were testing for dioxins and seek more information about the federal and state protocol for handling mass dioxin exposure.
“Following our visits to East Palestine this past week where we heard directly from members of the community, we remain concerned that it does not appear that the U.S. EPA, OEPA or Norfolk Southern is texting for dioxins,” wrote Brown and Vance.
“We are concerned that the burning of large volumes of vinyl chloride may have resulted in the formation of dioxins that may have been dispersed throughout the East Palestine community and potentially a much larger area,” continued the letter. (Related: Cincinnati cuts off drinking water from Ohio River in the wake of train chemical spill.)
Ohio senators call for transparency to ensure public safety

The Ohio senators included six questions about the agencies’ current dioxin testing strategy that they wanted to be answered by Feb. 24.
Brown and Vance concluded the letter by demanding both agencies coordinate an immediate testing regimen to “ensure regular testing for dioxins in the region.”
They explained that strict monitoring must be part of a long-term strategy and that it should be enforced immediately and communicated to the local community for transparency.
Following the disastrous train derailment in the small eastern Ohio town, the train’s operator Norfolk Southern decided to release dioxin, along with other potentially harmful chemicals, to prevent a massive explosion.
While the town’s residents were asked to evacuate during the release of the chemical, they were told that it was safe to return to the area on Feb. 9.
Allegedly, the EPA, Ohio EPA and Norfolk Southern contractors have conducted several tests to assure residents that the air and water in the affected area are safe. Despite these tests, some locals expressed concerns that the catastrophic event could impact their long-term health.
Experts have also warned about the potential environmental damage from the chemical release.
Sil Caggiano, a local hazardous materials specialist, said that the incident was akin to a “nuclear winter.”
EPA orders Norfolk Southern to clean up affected areas

On Tuesday, Feb. 21, the EPA ordered the train’s operator to oversee the cleanup in affected areas following the chemical spill. Railroad company Norfolk Southern was also ordered to cover all charges for the cleanup.
Amid growing fear and frustration among residents about safety and transparency, the EPA took the helm as the fallout from the Feb. 3 train disaster moves from emergency response to the clean-up phase.
The EPA required Norfolk Southern to reimburse the federal government to provide cleaning services for affected residents and businesses following the incident. Should Norfolk Southern fail to comply with the order to identify and clean up all the contaminated water and soil, the EPA will take over the work.
The agency will also seek triple damages from the multibillion-dollar company.
While no fatalities or injuries have been reported from the toxic spill, a free community health clinic has been opened to assist worried residents clamoring for definitive answers about short- and long-term health risks.
Aside from the cleanup, Norfolk Southern will also be responsible for out-of-pocket medical costs. The company must also reimburse fire services for equipment contaminated during the emergency response.
Last week Norfolk Southern earned the ire of residents when the company didn’t attend a town hall meeting. However, under the binding order, the company is now required to attend public meetings and post information online.

Over 43,000 aquatic animals DIED in the aftermath of Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine

Tags: animal health, animals, aquatic animals, chemical spill, chemicals, disaster, East Palestine, Ecology, environment, ohio, pollution, toxic chemicals, toxins, train derailment, water pollution

    3,390VIEWS

(Natural News) The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) recently estimated that more than 43,000 fish and other aquatic animals have died due to the chemicals spilled by the Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine.
ODNR Director Mary Mertz announced on Thursday, Feb. 23, that roughly 38,222 minnows and about 5,550 other aquatic animals such as small fish, crayfish, amphibians and macroinvertebrates were killed in the five-mile span of waterways from the derailment site. (Related: There more hazardous chemicals discovered at Norfolk Southern train derailment site in East Palestine.)
The ODNR noted that on Feb. 15, the number of aquatic animals killed by the disaster was less than 3,000, primarily minnows and small fish, based on an initial investigation of four sites around the train derailment area.
The state agency said it went to the train derailment site the morning after the crash to determine the impact of the chemical spill on aquatic life, to survey nearby waterways for dead aquatic animals and to collect data and specimens to inform the total. The ODNR collaborated with private company EnviroScience to help collect data on the number of dead aquatic animals in the area and to help collect and remove these dead animals from the waters to prevent further harm to any other animals in the area.
Deaths mostly occurred immediately after toxic spill, long-term effects still unknown

The ODNR and EnviroScience estimate that, over the 7.5 miles of land immediately affected by the chemical spill from the Norfolk Southern train derailment, aquatic species living in waterways located within five miles of the site were killed immediately.
“Although dead aquatic species still remain in the impacted waterways, the entirety of the impact to the aquatic life is believed to have occurred in the first 24-hours after the derailment,” noted Mertz. “These small fish are all believed to have been killed immediately after the derailment.”
Mertz added that ODNR officers searched for additional dead aquatic wildlife “beyond the impacted waterways” in the days after the crash. These searches brought officers to the Ohio River down through Jefferson County and at the New Cumberland Locks and Dam, a dam around 20 miles south of East Palestine. These searches did not find any dead aquatic animals.
The director added that the agency is also waiting for test results on non-aquatic animals found near the train derailment, including birds and opossums. The ODNR does not believe these non-aquatic animals were immediately made sick by the derailment.
An ODNR representative noted that there is “no immediate threat” to the aquatic life in Leslie Run creek, and that live fish have already returned there.
“We’re happy to see live fish have already returned to Leslie Run, that’s a great sign. The fact that we’re not seeing any fish in distress is a great sign,” said the representative.
The ODNR added that it still does not understand the long-term effects of the train derailment, and the representative said the department is still unable to put a timeline on how long it will take for the environment around the crash to fully recover.
