    Texas Police Shoot, Kill 93 Year Old Woman



    May 8, 2014 – Police in Herne, Texas, fatally shot a 93-year-old woman at her home after police responded to an emergency call about a female waving a gun. Witnesses state Officer Stem fired 5 times, killing Perlie Golden. Stem has been on the force for less than two years and this is his second shooting incident since he started with the department. He has been suspended with pay. The current shooting is being investigated by the Hearne Police Department, the Texas Rangers and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office.
