What Are Voters Looking For in 2016? Hillary Might Want To Take Note

By Caroline Schaeffer 9 hours ago

Get this down, presidential hopefuls – Out is in, and in is out. A Pew survey taken of 1,501 adults has found that the American voter hopes their next President will be a Washington outsider. Ideally, a governor with executive experience.
They also noted that service in the military would be an important attribute for a candidate, and only 5% said they would vote for an Atheist for President. Only 19 percent of respondents said they would vote for a candidate with multiple years of Washington experience.
This is in stark contrast to 2007, when 55 percent of respondents said they thought a candidate from Congress would be better qualified to serve as President, the Washington Examiner reports.
What’s changed? The American public has probably seen where voting for a Washington insider has gotten them: a President who has icy relations with the other party, a stalled Congress, and nothing else but more of the same from inside the Beltway.
Hillary is going to have to watch out – is there a family more insider than the Clintons?
