The Government and Government interference helped cause this problem and only getting the government out of the way will we start to see our way out of this. Start off by throwing Sen. Dodd, & Rep. Frank in jail for their hand in what they have caused. Sen. Shumer should be removed from office for causing a run on IndyMac Bank by saying that there wasn't enough money in the bank to keep it solvent. Well there wasn't after he said that.

Second. Repeal the laws that Carter signed forcing banks to loan money to people that cannot reasonably pay it back. Repeal the laws that Clinton signed that increased the same bad policy.

Third. Repeal the Federal Reserve Act.

Fourth. Outlaw fractional reserve banking. For those who don't know that is where a bank receives a deposit of $10,000. It keeps $3,000 on hand and loans out $7,000. That $7,000 gets deposited at another bank and they keep $2,100 on hand and loan out $4,900. The $4,900 gets deposited at another bank and they keep $1,470 on hand. They then it turn loan out the $3,430. You see the pattern. Every time they "loan" more money, more money is "created". Now supply and demand take over. The more money in the market place the less it is worth. Now it takes more money to buy the same commodity.

Fifth. Repeal the 16th amendment and pass the Fair Tax (www.fairtax.org).

Sixth. Clarify the 14th amendment to state that in order to be a citizen you must be born on US soil to individuals that are in the country legally. Also add clarification to the Natural Born Citizen that it makes it plain that you must be born on US Soil to two US citizens (naturalized or Natural Born).

Seventh. Remove funding of schooling, welfare, food stamps, housing and non-emergency health care to non-citizens.

Eighth. Open up the OCS, ANWAR, and the oil shale in the mid-west. This will bring in more money to the treasury as the majority of these areas are federally protected lands that must be leased from the government to allow them to extract the resources from the ground.

These are simple things to get started but not the end all be all of answers.

Yes, but instead of going to a surgeon to perform the amputation You want to go to the local ditch digger to amputate (nothing against a ditch digger I just wouldn't want them cutting my foot off much less my whole leg)

You aren't listening in the right places. I cannot stand the SS system. I would love to have the money that I have been stolen from and invested in this Ponzi scheme. That ain't an option for anyone at this juncture.

But with all of this, we digress from the issue at hand. If Obama isn't a NBC, then even if he were to implement the 8 steps above, none of them that he actively signs into law will be effectual and enforceable BECAUSE HE ISN"T THE PRESIDENT. He is the usurper. Can you only imagine the problems that will be born the instant his secret is brought into the light. Every nomination is now void and there are no cabinet heads. Every action that the cabinet heads have caused will be null and void. Even the Sec. of Treas. who has ultimate power to spend the TARP money. How do you unspend that money? Every Executive order he has signed is now void and will have to be readdressed. Every bill that he has signed or vetoed will have to be re-passed by the Congress and then signed by the 44th President of the US, Pres. Biden. I will stand up and salute Pres. Biden and then fight him tooth and nail on all of his ultra-liberal ideas that he puts forward. It is this last paragraph that sums up why there are almost 30 pages of posts on this thread. Dr. Edwin Viera said it much better at http://www.newswithviews.com/Vieira/edwin84.htm. If after reading his article you still aren't convinced that this isn't a waste of everybody's time, then let us waste our time in peace and you read other treads that are more in line with highly visible illegal immigration issues.
Nice response! Now we are thinking outside the box! Are there any more people like armbruster512 that can give us an answer to our problems? We need solutions people. I could easily send armbruster512's response to our representatives as one of many possible solutions that our government hasn't seen yet. He/she has 8 solutions I haven't thought of. Thinking like this is what created our great country.

armbruster512 - Good responses all. Thanks, Marine.

Another area that Obama is using to dilute the power and meaning of the Constitution is to extend US Constitutional protections to foreign Islamic terrorists, the enemy. This has to stop.

I really am waiting and watching to see something, one thing, that Obama is doing, or will do, to protect and defend the Constitution. So far, every action I have seen him perform has cheapened, ignored, or violated the Constitution.

This isn't why someone becomes a Constitutional attorney - to learn how to destroy our country's most important document and everything that it represents.

Or maybe it is the right thing to do if you are an enemy of the United States.

Freedom of speech may be one of our first freedoms to go. Conservative talk radio is already in Obama's gun sights. The Internet may be next.

Speaking of gun sights, acting on a lark yesterday, I checked one of our local sports outlets here in Maine and inquired about recent gun sales. Very large increase of gun sales in recent months. And this is Maine - the People's Republic of Maine - a Democratic stronghold.

I think people may be starting to 'get it' about Obama.

About time. We are such slow learners...

Absolutely right, we are ignoring the basis of this site, while pro-illegals are planning marches and rallies throughout next month, and from many of the posts here, killing Americans on a daily basis, while sucking our economy dry.
When Obama does something really stupid like grant amnesty, we should pounce on him. But I think his only focus is the economy. All I can say is let's see what happens.
It has NOTHING to do with race, I would have loved to see Keyes get it, and last time I looked, he has a bit of color to his skin. Those saying that we have not had threads and comments about Bush are obviously not looking in the right place. I think Bush is the WORST president EVER, and I was surprised he did not declare marshal law and insert himself as our dictator. However, while there were doubts as to whether or not Bush was even human, there was no doubts as to his constitutional qualifications. The ONLY reason he won a second term was Kerry.

However, two wrongs to not make a right. No reasonably sane person would spend millions to avoid showing they are natural born unless they simply are not. That leaves us with one or two options, either Obama is an illegitimate president who does not meet constitutional qualifications or he is insane. I have not noticed any other signs of insanity, so it must be the former.

IF there is a conspiracy theorist out there, it would be the person who believes that Two blood relatives are making up his birth in Kenya, one who says they have photos, The government of Kenya is speaking genetically when they call him a kenyan, the monument of his birthplace is really he fathers birthplace, the German and French versions of the CIA are mis-informed. Yup, his being born in Kenya is nothing more than an international conspiracy that Obama refuses to put to rest by producing a long form birh cert. and giving it to a neutral party for examination. The fact that a Barry Soetoro attended college on foreign student scholarships at the same schools at the same time as Obama is mere coincidence. Naturally, the schools can not comment about whether or not Obama even attended, his records have been sealed. There is more evidence on this than most grand juries are given before indicting anybody, yet no court has looked at ANY OF THE EVIDENCE. They just dismiss it with either no comment or because of lack of standing.

Kerchner v. Obama was filed last week in federal court for NJ by an attorney based in Jamesburg, NJ. It also names Members of Congress as defendants. It appears to rely on known facts (not speculation about Kenya) and use the line of legal reasoning developed by Donofrio. I.e., that NBC is a legal "term of art" with known definitional source (deVattel) and should be construed apart from the "statutory citizenships" which find their source in the 14th Amendment and which are therefore amenable to legislative changes. Constitutional "terms of art" would not be alterable except by the extraordinary means of the Amendment process.

The attorney for the plaintiffs is Mario Apuzzo who appears to have had some posts in local GOP and whose lawsuit is confined to challenge of Obama. For those who posit that McCain was "in the clear" on the NBC issue, my view would differ. He can be shown to have tried to dupe people into believing be was born "on a military base" using a complicit Washington Post reporter who claimed to have been shown an original BC, and these false reports were published in the WaPo's so-called "Fact Checker" column in April and May of 2008. An authentic BC was obtained on June 8th from Panama which "proved the lies" and MSM once again failed to fully explore the ramifications; instead pointing to S.R.511 as a legal basis of eligibility when it was nothing of the sort. There is a long legislative history of NBC attempted alterations with Amendment attempts (2000 and 2003) then bills from 2005 and early 2008 (February) which died in committees without hearings and probably because they tried to do "that which is impermissible" thru mere legislation. The 2005 measure attempted to use "statutory citizenship" provisions as interchangeable with NBC. One finds the same crippled argument now being trotted out by those who support the Obama presidency as legitimate IF he was born in Hawaii. If anything, the fact that supposedly "clarifying" or "amendatory" legislation was intro'd at all in 2005 would undercut that basis of argumentation as illogical.

Whether the new suit falls on grounds of standing remains to be seen. There are several people who claim that in one-to-one talks with Representatives they have been informed that the ineligibility problem is known and that no one stood up with objections due to varying reasons which ranged from civil unrest to political expedience and enhanced odds that poor POTUS performance over the next 2 years would prompt recapture of legislative branch in 2010.

Since the Bush terms' end results have convinced me that we have a corrupt entrenchment of duopoly powers in the two major parties, I'm not surprised to learn about excuses. The GOP has suffered massive defections of conservatives for good reason (it deserved to lose them as pork became a way of life). The Democrats will see their own detections as being "anti-Bush" proves to be lacking enough glue to keep all their factions jumping together, just because Obama says "how high."

Where is the racism in this comment. cayla99? Point being that there are a lot more problems with the illegals we should be addressing. It may be under Other Topics but the effort spent supporting these lawsuits that the Supreme Court has decided not to address, efforts here should be pushing SCOTUS to defining the 14th Amendment once and for all, because without that there are few bases for any challenge to Obama's citizenship and qualification.

WHAT? Who are these several people? I can probably produce several people who were snatched by aliens into the spaceship, and if I can't get their quotes as valid proof, I just write that sources who preferred their identity be shielded spoke to me. Absolute horsecrap. If you are going to be taken seriously you give your name, not launching a blog attack with no backup to support anything more than a political (or racist) point of view. Freedom of speech is on the line here, folks, and there is nothing that gives freedom of speech more strength than cold, hard facts to back up an argument to one position.
